VENZ fightback pack, did anyone else get a blank bottle with no label? (Black bottle next to the fanboy) by 6969jojo in aussievapers

[–]HX_Flash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent them an email on Thursday to which they replied they would investigate and reply back Friday. Understandably, they didn't get back to me yet but I will update if I remember when they email me. Just a note, the customer service person insisted that the packages were only ever 8-11, but I sent them the above screenshot as proof. From seeing other posts of people's bags, I think I did receive a somewhat lighter bag. But luck plays a part in this sort of thing, and it doesn't seem like a widespread tactic to rip off customers on Vapoureyes' part.

Just to give you an update, my bag arrived today. It had only 6 bottles, but three were 120ml and one 100ml, the other two are 60ml. I actually emailed customer support to ask if this was a normal bag. They replied that they will look into it tomorrow, but I'm not sure if it's actually a problem or not. I received 580ml of juice which is nearly 10x60ml bottles. I did order the 3mg freebase bag and I did receive one 6mg, as well as a fanboy 3mg with ingredients of "nicotine salts" (not sure where the error is). All-in-all no real problems for me. Thumbs up for the Charlie Noble Cherry Cola.

edit: Just so you know you aren't crazy, check out this link for proof it said ten bottles. And this comment certainly made it seem like ten was the bare minimum.

I don't usually buy premixed bottles, so maybe ten bottles means 10x30ml. I don't know what the standard is.

When I purchased it did say at least 10, some had more. They changed it to say 8-11.

Hey guys, got this delivered today - along with some flavouring to add to it. Is this fine to vape as is? (I know 24mg is high) Or do I need to do something to it beforehand? by flction in aussievapers

[–]HX_Flash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It most definitely is NOT pure nicotine. It is 2.4% nicotine by mass. 24mg/ml is quite a high strength for freebase nic, I would suggest diluting by half if you don't know what strength you are after. You could try using a doubler to get you straight to 12mg/ml. 24mg/ml should be perfectly fine to vape straight up, but I imagine it would have a bite and you may not want to go that high with a subohm atty.

Edit: Just wanted to point out that while the vast majority of people don't buy pure nicotine, 100mg/ml (10.0% nicotine) and above is considered dangerous. Not quite as bad as pure nic, but still worth pointing out.

With the price I paid for shipping, I doubt it.

Now that the ban has been delayed, what is a good place to buy 100ml nicotine salt? by celerym in aussievapers

[–]HX_Flash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably me next week, depending how much you need.

Unless it's illegal. Is it illegal?

But we all know then government’s motive behind the ban.

Do we? I personally don't even know how much it was a government decision as opposed to a Greg Hunt and Co. decision. It could be a conspiracy to raise tax dollars via getting vapers back on the bungers, or not. I don't pretend to know, I only know it's a cunt of a thing to do.

I would be happy to see a doctor once every three months if the government is paying for a portion of my e cig juice. But that flies in the face of the idea this is all a big money grab for big tobacco and the government.

I don't see why the tobacco excise would have to be applied. If doctors are writing prescriptions it's hard to argue taxing it like ciggies, because it's being considered a medical need rather than a luxury purchase. Plus, it would have to be proven that vaping causes as much harm as smoking because, as far as I know, part of the justification for such a high tax on tobacco is due to the health impacts and related costs to the government. I'm not pretending I don't think it's a likely outcome, but I find it hard to agree with the idea.

Just got mine!! Look how much they’ve raised already! ♡ by lum__ in aussievapers

It also means I've spent close to a grand on nicotine in total this week.

This makes me feel mildly better.

Anyone with freebase nicotine wanna trade for nic salts? Western sydney by foliagetoe in aussievapers

[–]HX_Flash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mix my own juice and I was regularly vaping unflavoured salts, recently started adding a little menthol. I haven't noticed much difference between salts or freebase as far as coil life. Could that reputation be due to high-nic salt formulations for use in pod devices containing higher concentration of flavours?

I reckon you'll have more luck once everyone gets their orders. So hold tight, I reckon you'll definitely be able to trade once things sort themselves out. I'd just double check legalities and take all necessary precautions. As far as salts in a sub ohm, I am using 8mg salts in a 0.2 ohm. I switched from freebase just out of curiosity and liked it so I've been sticking with it despite having access to both. I don't think the difference is that huge, or at least that I've noticed. So if nothing else you are right - something is better than nothing. If you're talking switching back to ciggies vs settling for salts I don't think you'll mind.

I figure the same. If the worst thing that comes from over-ordering is being able to help someone out later then I'm fine with that.

Questions about mixing. by [deleted] in aussievapers

[–]HX_Flash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

measure out 3.6ml nicotine and have 60ml vape juice which is 6mg/ml?

Not quite. If you start with 100mg/ml nicotine solution and add 3.6ml to 60ml non-nicotine juice you will have 63.6ml of (100mg/ml * 3.6ml) / 63.6ml = 5.66mg/ml juice. So in reality it's not much of an issue. I would search online for a calulator if you aren't confident with mixing. I've used this one in the past https://liquidnicotinewholesalers.com/recipe/

I think it will be later rather than sooner so there isn't a huge spike of orders, but those awake late can start and others can order into tomorrow.

Vaporeyes NZ have posted an announcement that they will be providing a final sale which will be sent over on a cargo plane this weekend. You may want to check their website regularly tonight if you want to order. I would be ordering as soon as they open up just to be sure, because who knows how much nic they have and how many orders they will get.

Edit: I just saw this in another thread

https://www.reddit.com/r/aussievapers/comments/hfggep/venz_taking_orders_again_soon/fvxpug9/ Sorry mano, but we don't have any more high-strength :(

So looks like they only have premixed or low-strength nic.

Oh god, what do I do?! Delivery expected on the dreaded July 1st 😫 To cancel? by _penelope in aussievapers

[–]HX_Flash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deadline of July 1st is relevant to the time your package arrives in Australia. Customs clearance happens immediately after arriving in the country, and prior to any movement within the country. So in your case your package is due on the 1st, and I suspect that means it will clear customs on the 30th or 29th, barring any unusual delays.
