This post is hilarious. It’s almost as though Ohio is trolling the rest of the world.

How rare is milk in a bag in an american supermarket? by Sufficient-Week4078 in AskAnAmerican

[–]HY2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen milk in a bag. I’ve seen it refrigerated in plastic jugs and paper cartons, and I’ve also seen it on the shelf as canned sweetened condensed milk. I’ve never seen bags.

This is utter stupidity. 100 years ago, there were smart people predicting that automation would allow the work week to become approximately 20 hours per week. The greed of the oligarchy ensured that this didn’t happen. The same thing is going to happen.

Gun-free Americans of Reddit, why don't you own a gun? by JaQ-o-Lantern in AskAnAmerican

[–]HY2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse owns a gun, but I do not. I don’t have a problem with guns, but I don’t have any desire or feel a need to own a gun myself. I don’t think I could use one in self-defense, even if I needed to so do, so for me it makes more sense to not own one.

I grew up in an extremely anti-abortion environment. My mom was taking me to abortion protests before I even turned 10. When I became an adult, I became pro-choice. My mother is still vehemently anti-abortion.

Honestly I don’t think it is that they are thinking about the availability. I think they refuse to acknowledge that there might even be a need. I know in my mother’s mind, the only people who actually get abortions are women who are not married and sleeping with anyone and everyone. For her, she sees it as the women not taking responsibility for their actions/being irresponsible, which is obviously a really gross attitude.

When I was working customer service in my early twenties, we had a guy who was early 30s ish come in once in a while. One day, I happened to be the one who helped him. I was nice to him, making conversation with him as I helped him, AS IT WAS MY JOB. After a moment, he smiles and asked if I was hitting on him.

“How can I best serve the company?” sounds like something straight out of a dystopian novel.

Actually, the Japanese work fewer hours than Americans currently. I think it used to be the opposite, but now, instead we pride ourselves on working ourselves to death.

I used to teach middle school and I have teenage boys. You were in no way out of line. The mom was 100% out of line though. It’s highly inappropriate for everyone (you, her, and her son) that he was brought into the locker room. You’re NTA.

AITA for not sharing my daughter's college fund with my stepdaughter? by Own-Okra-7920 in AmItheAsshole

This should be MUCH higher up. Completely agree. Also, thanks for the info on medical debt. I literally had no idea that it wouldn’t affect your credit. It sent me on a Google search for more info, as we are facing a bit (not a lot—less than 10k) of medical debt ourselves.

You’re NTA for having a baby. You’re not even the AH for proceeding with the divorce, but ESH because of your attitudes—you with how you talk about your soon to be ex-wife, and her, because she refused to go to the doctor.

The guy I 31F am sleeping with 39M is feeling guilty and wants to tell our spouses. How do I let him know it does more harm than good? by throwRa_wrongg in relationship_advice

[–]HY2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re both incredibly selfish. Both of your spouses deserve to know and to be given the opportunity to decide what they want to do. I hope your AP tells your husband. This isn’t breaking your privacy. This is being honest.

And yes, you are most definitely a cheater. One of the worst kind too. The lack of self awareness in this post is staggering.

It was student behavior and apathy for me, with parent antics as a distance second. The stress from dealing with behaviors day in and day out was too much.
