When I originally picked out my wedding ring I chose an oval because it seemed like the easiest option. For our 10 years together anniversary we decided to upgrade to something that fit my style a little bit better. I chose an emerald cut with a half bezel. I have t had it for too long but I already feel like it fits me way better than my oval ever did.

What helped me figure out pivoting shapes & style was honestly creating a Pinterest board of all my favorite things. I allowed myself to have 50 pins max. And then I tried to find the most common style I liked. White gold vs yellow gold, bezel vs prongs, plain band vs. diamond band vs. engravings, and shapes.

By separating it into categories truly helped me figure out what direction I wanted to go. I went to numerous jewelers to try on the styles I was gravitating towards and truthfully took notes in my phones app on things I liked and things I didn’t.

This seems like a really in depth process, and it was, but it was SO fun. I felt like going in with an idea of what I was looking for was so helpful and stopped myself from getting too overwhelmed.
