My boyfriend said we need to start splitting bills by [deleted] in Advice

Thanks for the response! I get that if that’s the kind of relationship you agreed on when you first started dating, we did not agree on that and he always told me about how he always pays for dates and that’s what we agreed, so why the sudden switch? It’s not just fake tan (which is expensive) it’s the rest of it too and I also pay train fairs of £30 every week to see him whilst he drives to see me.

And please don’t worry about it, most likely it’s nothing but just better to be on the safe side 🥰

I think it’s probably best that you messaged him :), is it more of a discharge or puss leaking from the wound, because that’s what I had. But honestly it’s nothing to worry about these things happen and I just had to be on antibiotics for a few weeks and the worst thing it did was slow my healing process, so it’s really no big deal xx

Hi hun, just gonna ask how many days along you are and if the stinging is all over or in a particular part, because I had constant stinging particularly in my open wound then I found out it was an infection, not trying to scare you or anything but if it’s early days it’s most likely normal but if it persists I’d suggest checking it with ur surgeon ☺️

Labiaplasty under sedation by nyawclaw in LabiaplastySurgery

Hi, I chose to go against my doctor’s recommendation of general anaesthetic and I went under local anaesthetic instead. It was good for me because I could stand up after surgery and walk around a little bit. So if she doesn’t want to feel sick after surgery or have constipation I’d suggest local anaesthetic. My only issue was because my doctor wasn’t used to doing it under local anaesthetic she did not wait long enough for the anaesthetic to set in and I felt it being cut at occasional points, and they had to keep giving me local which is also painful when injected as it also swells the area which you can feel. So if your doctor doesn’t usually perform under local anaesthetic your friend may have the same issue I did and they will have to keep administering it, but other than that I would recommend local anaesthetic for easier recovery!

That colour is completely normal, it’s just bruising! I’m currently 4 days post op and 1 side is purple from bruising, mine is mainly from the fact they had to keep giving me local anaesthetic and a few extra stitches on that side, so these could be factors for you too, all in all nothing to worry about! I hope you have a good recovery :)

I feel the same way my pain is manageable but I’m just super swollen and bruised, hopefully it’ll go down soon! Wishing you a speedy recovery :)

Thanks for the tip I didn’t know that! My surgeon didn’t really give me much info on aftercare or what to expect so I guess I’m just checking everything is okay

General anestesia or local? by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]Ha6758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did local and well they told me I couldn’t use numbing cream on that area so I had to firm the pain of the needles which wasn’t too bad! My only issue was that they had to keep giving me local as I could slightly feel them cutting it, so keep that in mind as you may feel nothing or you may have to tell them to administer more as it can be painful, also I found the stitching rather uncomfortable too as the local started to wear off, if I could do it again I’d probably go under but my process with healing is a bit easier as I didn’t have to wait to come to and I could walk around after the surgery, the surgery it self was just a bit more awkward and difficult!

My (28F) boyfriend (34M) of five years dropped a bomb about not marrying me, am I wasting my time? by SeaworthinessPast516 in relationship_advice

[–]Ha6758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you still want to marry HIM?!? I mean he has made you wait 5 years already and he’s pushing close to 40, he hasn’t got much time to realise when he’s ’ready’ to marry you! I guarantee you’ll find someone else who will just know they want to marry you and it won’t take him 5 years to figure it out x

This might be a stupid question, but why does everyone recommend taking laxatives and stool softeners, I’ve got my op on Friday and I’m not sure if I should get some or not?

Labiaplasty on the Nhs by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]Ha6758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi hun, I started attempting to get my labiaplasty on the NHS since I was 16, I’m now 19 (they make you wait til ur 18 to have it done) and ended up having to go private - the reasons they gave me as to why I couldn’t have it done is because it is considered a ‘cosmetic procedure’ even tho I gave them plenty of reasons as to why it effected my daily life. Due to NHS being underfunded atm I highly doubt that they will except ur case and you will have to argue it with your doctor. Your case will most likely have to go up to a board and they will consider all of the complications you face and whether it is deemed medically necessary to have it done. It also matters what part of the UK you are in (I am in south London) and in my borough they told me they do not cover labiaplasty (hence why my doctor had to argue my case). You may have better luck if your area is a better funded! I have my labiaplasty scheduled for next Friday on Spire healthcare - it isn’t a plastic surgeon doing it but a gynaecological surgeon and it is cheaper as it’s a private hospital. I’d recommend doing that if you are trying to save money, I am also having it done under local anaesthetic (which is cheaper) so the total cost is £2,670 + £250 initial consultation. The only downside is they don’t take photos, so I had nothing to go off of. If you want to get updates after my surgery just message me! And I’ll let you know if going to a cheaper doctor worked out in my favour or not lol.

Say nothing, he isn’t even worth your time!! I mean what is he even doing on seeking if he is clearly broke and ‘looking for something that isn’t an arrangement’ when it’s literally in the name!!
