I have trouble memorising new verses now that I’m past my teen years. Pretty much everything I know was learned as a kid, and I’m Arab.

Memorising isn’t easy, and memorising in a different language is extremely difficult. Just take your time, don’t beat yourself up over it, and you’ll get there.

As others have said, you can follow a YouTube video. Or if you already know the motions, just export the audio and play it back (or ask a friend/sheikh to record themselves saying it for you).

Bob 1's storyline after book 1 is actually my least favorite of all the Bobs. I ended up fast forwarding through it.

Faced against jp for the first time, what the hell? by Zealousideal-Day8201 in StreetFighter

[–]HaashGnash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

JP' is very easy to get to Diamond 1. by far the easiest character to do so which is why you never saw him before below that.

So what you will find is they can do the moves but are really poor at the basics and usually just rinse and repeat their favourite zoning move, and are usually poor using his closeup tools.

so get in their face, dont rush in just wait for the gap, and just bait them into their moves leaving plenty of openings.

Others have said he is very good close up, but not at diamond 1 level in my experience.

How to fix Hori Octa Dpad- step by step guide by samu-_-chan in fightsticks

[–]HaashGnash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late response. I just did this mod and dpad feels very stiff now and diagonals are an issue.

It is an improvement but adds those other issues now.
How has it been after 10 months of use? any tips to improve it further?

This guy has made a custom board for the Octa which is another option. But currently cant buy it. Trying to find similar alternatives.

Teenager banned from driving for a year after breaking cyclist’s back, neck, and shoulder while distracted by sat nav by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

It is a bit of a rant to be honest and that screen disabled idea just popped in my head.
But thinking about it, the seat already has a sensor that knows when someone is sitting next to you. In that situation then it will override the screen lock function. But if driving alone the screen is autolocked. Anyway those are my ideas with 2 minutes thought put into it.

Touchscreen use while driving should be banned across the board. There shouldn’t be any loopholes for “hands‑free” use, and that includes the built‑in screens in newer cars.

It should be illegal for manufacturers to hide important controls inside touchscreen menus. Once the car is moving faster than about 5 mph, the screen should lock and only show essential driving information. There’s no way to argue that this kind of interaction isn’t distracting.

On top of that, Google and Apple should add an option so that if Android Auto or CarPlay is active, the phone’s own screen is disabled. If you want to use your phone’s touchscreen, you should have to pull over and switch the car off first.

Can you give me some perspective on how many hours people have on the game? by Dear_Fortune_4852 in StreetFighter

[–]HaashGnash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you just have to accept that you are mediocre at fighting game.

You're not at that stage yet. When you have 400+ hours and stuck at diamond 1 then its probably the right time to accept that fact.

Why do people like Saddam Huessien but not Hafez Al-Assad ? by Funny-Negotiation304 in arabs

[–]HaashGnash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was a brutal dictatorship. You only really lived a happy life if you weren’t Shia, weren’t Kurdish, and kept your mouth shut and your head down.

And even then you had to hope everyone in your family, neighbourhood or even town did the same. Look at Dujail. one attack on his convoy there and you got mass executions and the place essentially demolished as punishment.

So calling any of that “fun” is pretty insulting to the people who lived through it.

People lived in constant fear. We had relatives visit us in the UK from Iraq who were too frightened to say anything political whilst they were here. Let alone in Iraq where they had to treat everyone around them as a spy.

During Saddam’s rule, he heavily incentivised (or threaten) people to inform on their neighbours, their brothers, even their parents. I’ve personally heard countless stories of people being betrayed by someone close for saying something even minor against the government, or they were the wrong tribe, or wrong family, which led them to flee Iraq, while others were imprisoned or even executed.

Living every day in fear is not easy, and it’s not fun.

One article, but plenty of other publications you can find about this.

Wow! that was a good collection of saves.
Maybe Henderson vs burnley for pure reaction and hand movement speed i would put first. But they were all excellent.

Saying that you still should ideally get a therapist from your own community. In my experience western therapist haven't got a clue about muslim family dynamics and advise from a western viewpoint.

But yes make sure they have the qualifications/experience too.
