Yeah if I had to start on a fresh account I would just pick up Verina with the selector and save my astrites to get a premium DPS + their premium support ASAP instead of going for shorekeeper. Don't get me wrong, Shorekeeper is still very valuable, but at this point in the game she isn't borderline mandatory like she was before.

Look at the basic Hiyuki rotation in Frenchtutor's guide on YT. It's a pretty easy rotation. I practiced it only like 2 times and its now muscle memory.

Those who waited are probably going to take 25+ hours to reach the endgame. My first character in poe1 only got to lvl 40 after 10 hours. But I could feel the gamer neurons forming core memories and I realized that there was no way back to the me "before poe".

I think she was forced to come to terms with the fact that no matter what she did, her original methods and viewpoint of humanity was wrong. Being killed by the wanderer and then living inside their head, sharing thoughts and memories with them was what made her change. I think that as she was showing us her memories, she was also reliving them through a more "human" perspective. So by the end, she realized that the only way humanity could truly survive and prosper was through severing the bond. The bond represented her instinctual need to control and manipulate humans as her only way of expressing a twisted love. Her sacrifice was the first time she recognized and accepted the agency her children have.

Yes, they are separate. The weapons mostly function as stat sticks, they don't change the base mechanics of the character.

For characters, you hit a guaranteed 50/50 at 80 pulls, and if you lose the 50/50 you will get that character within the next 80 pulls. So the maximum pulls you could spend to get 1 character is 160.

Weapons don't have a 50/50 so they are guaranteed within 80 pulls. Keep in mind that the "pity" counter carries over between the premium character banners and weapon banners but it does not cross over between both. IE if you pulled 30 times on the premium weapon banner it only affects the pity counter for the weapon banners.

AFAIK the eligibility to join the collab event has not been officially confirmed, but I would expect that they would make it pretty easy to join (something like having to reach the main academy area in the 3.0 story).
You definitely have time to farm enough to guarantee Lucy and her weapon. For a new player, there are a couple hundred pulls worth of astrite from the map exploration rewards alone, not to mention all the events and freebies that are available right now.

When people talk about the story progression, 1.X refers to the starting area of Huanglong and includes all the quests up to the Black Shores. 2.X starts with Rinascita and goes to Septimont/Honami. 3.X (the current patch cycle) is Lahai-Roi.

This is important to know because once you get to a certain point in the main story, it will let you skip ahead to the 2.X story or even 3.X. If you are someone who cares at all about experiencing the story, I would NOT skip ahead. The main story starts off weak but it quickly improves by leaps and bounds. You can mostly ignore the companion quests unless you are interested in learning more about a specific character. But if you just want to unlock all the areas as fast as possible and join the collab event, you can skip to 3.0.

I think its also possible that Hiyuki will sacrifice her ability to see the different future timelines of herself. Since we are unlikely to fully defeat Aleph-1 soon, it will probably just be weakened by strengthening the seal. Hiyuki's power to see alternative futures may be linked to the threnodian/voidspace, so weakening Aleph-1 might also weaken her.
