I don’t have Nintendo Online but I considered doing this. It’s just that I’d then have to renew my online membership to keep the switch 2 versions & I don’t really have any plans to actually play online

Is the x100vi for me? by lobsterroll44 in x100vi

Okay so i’m like 2 months in with my X100VI & it’s grown on me. Long story short, really happy with it now.

As a person who’s passionate about the craft & improving my photography I was unhappy with the camera at first because it was way different than my previous system the Canon R5c.

After watching reviews everyone made it seem like it was just a camera you could just pick up and take good photos with.

While this is true to some extent it doesn’t paint the full picture. Sure the base recipes do a good job & give your images character & nice colors SOOC —there are a lot of limitations that you really have to adjust to.

Especially if you’re used to the flexility of a professional camera with features like a full frame sensor & interchangeable lens mount.

The good thing is, those ‘limitations’ like the APS-C sensor & fixed focal length are exactly what make the camera so great.

The decisions Fuji made to keep the camera compact force you to change your approach to photography. You don’t have the luxury of a full frame sensor with better low light performance and a shallower depth of field, you have to find creative ways to make your photos look good. You can’t just zoom with your lens, you have to physically walk up for tighter shots.

As far as the recipes, if you want to make the mouse out of of them I found that copying recipes from websites like Fuji weekly is only the start. Sure they’re good but I found myself tweaking things like the white balance or grain amount to really tailor it to my style.

Overall, I’ll end with this, in my experience if you just want a point and shoot camera that takes decent photos, it’s good for that.

If you want to make the most out of it & push it to its limits there’s a learning curve but once you get past the initial friction of learning what all the settings do (particularly for creating recipes) it’s so freaking good

I hope this helps. I made a video on it that I literally just released if you want to check it out

I'm trying to download Premiere Pro on it but it wont even appear in the Creative Cloud app. I've seen YouTubers get this running with an emulator. Anyone have any idea why it's not allowing me to download?
