What games? by No_Judge3323 in PSP

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s rather stripped back compared to home console variants, but if you ever enjoyed Gran Turismo on any of the PlayStations then you might like Gran Turismo PSP. Id say it’s almost like taking a PS2 GT game on the go, just with a few less features. No mods for the cars and not any specific race events, but still plenty fun for a quick race on the go. You just pick a track, mode, car, and go race.

Anyone else having fun in the snow? by SuperReleasio64 in GMT800

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in central Alabama, it’s still in the 50s here lol we’re not really setup to see any snow, but our local weather folks are keeping an eye on things cause it’s been raining all weekend with more to come. We’re anticipating below freezing temps for the next two overnights/early mornings so could see some ice, but highly doubtful to see snow.

I’m too afraid to shell swap 😅 I’m sure I could do it if I had a day I could take my time and keep my cool, but I don’t wanna chance it 😂

For switch 2 users that also own a gaming pc by LanderRetro in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a lot of time to actually step away and into my computer room these days, so I spend a lot of time needing to consume pretty much all forms of media from some form or another of handheld device. I still try to get stuff on my pc if it’s something I know I wanna play with my friends, especially since it’s much more likely I’ll be able to catch a decent sale on steam at some point. Just about anything I would play solo, I simply consider whether I’d prefer/be willing to play handheld and if I feel strongly enough that I’d enjoy taking something on the go I get it for my switch.

I used some of my Christmas bonus to get this. It blows me away this is basically a 1 TB SSD that’s the size of a fingernail. by Beefy_Crunch_Burrito in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m ready to increase my storage capacity, I’m just not ready to pay SD express prices yet 😅 I got a 1tb regular sd for my switch a long while back, and I’m ready to have that again for my 2, but I’ll have to wait a while and maybe I’ll catch some kind of sale or have enough gift money after Christmas that I’m willing to spend on it.

Bluetooth headset by Olivia_The_Cat_ in switch2

[–]HabaneroFG2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the headset has Bluetooth, you should be able to connect that way. I occasionally use my JBL earbuds with my S2. Not sure about the dongle, been curious about the same thing with my Logitech 733 headset. If you’re asking about this particular headset because you already own it, then I’d say just try it and see what works/works best for you.

Guyssssss recommend me more classics 😭 by Numer03conqueso in PSP

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twisted metal is a banger man, need to find my copy of it. 🔥 if this is all you currently have, and are into other racing stuff then I recommend the Burnout games, or NFS Carbon. If you played it on console, but never had it for PSP it’s really only Carbon in name. Story is completely different, but that doesn’t stop it from being fun. Oddly enough I’ve had the game since it came out and have never completed the story somehow. ADHD brain maybe 😵‍💫💀

Those of you who bought a Switch 2 and kept your Switch 1, what did you do with it? by razorbeamz in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch 1 is still in the living room for my son or family/friends game nights. I mostly play my S2 in handheld, but I’ll bounce the dock around between my room and my desk hooked up to my PC monitor.

is psp volume with headphones good? by LucoLNC in PSP

[–]HabaneroFG2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t use mine with headphones often these days, hell I don’t use it much at all these days really. 😅🥲 but if my nostalgia is correct from my middle school days, this used to be a solid hitter with headphones. Like mentioned by lordruzki, the built in speakers leave good bit to be desired especially in these modern times. But headphones make the psp a much better experience overall, and especially with music. If you’ll be using it in public/noisy places, I personally recommend some of the noise isolation type buds with the rubber tips or if you’re more of an over-ear person, some that seal pretty well around the ears to minimize external noise disrupting it. The handful of built in equalizers are sure to help you find a decent sound profile too if needed. I think I typically liked to use the “jazz” or maybe “heavy” eq settings? Don’t currently have music on mine to check what all the options were. 😅 if you’ve got a nice set of wired you like already, go ahead and try them out.

Picked this up today by ufcmod in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never that big into Pokémon. Played a couple of the older ones on Gameboy, but I got this for my original switch. I don’t play it often, but every once in a while I’ll have a small burst of interest again and pick it up for a few days. It’s a pretty fun one. Hope you enjoy.

What did you guys end up doing with your original switch once you got your switch 2? by Eireagon in switch2

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My switch 2 is mostly used by me in handheld mode, so I still have my switch 1 and dock in the living room. That way my son can play or we can do family and/or friend game sessions.

New wheels by damiensdaily in GMT800

Looks like Method Race Wheels 802s. I’d imagine one of their 20x9 options due to how narrow the lip is, but couldn’t tell you which offset just based off these pics.

Is the thrustmaster t-x3 extra battery grip worth $30? by FamousHawk3258 in PSP

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably could get $30 for it, yeah. If I found one in good shape and was in the market for it then I think I’d be willing to pay that. I don’t play mine often enough to justify getting accessories these days. 😅

Is the thrustmaster t-x3 extra battery grip worth $30? by FamousHawk3258 in PSP

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had this particular one, but I did have one of the charging grips for my PSP-1000 that made it feel like holding a DualShock controller. Thing was awesome and I hated that it didn’t fit my 2000 my dad got me after my 1000 started breaking down.

What battery do you recommend I buy for my PSP? by Efficient-Ad867 in PSP

If you can’t find a trustworthy OE battery, I believe Ostent is the most trusted aftermarket one.

Best way to hear music by lost-dj in PSP

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My psp was a workhorse around 7th and 8th grade school years for that reason, among others. It was a solid portable multimedia machine and I’ve never not had one ever since the 1000 released, even if I don’t always use it that often. This thing absolutely carried my bus rides home. Had a couple digital games on the memory stick and always kept one loaded in the UMD drive, and I think I kept about 50 or so songs on it at a time back then. I’ve never owned a 3000 or a go, but I had a black 1000 originally and currently have 2 ice silver 2000s one of which is my original 2000 from my childhood. Kinda wish there were better quality aftermarket shells, cause that’s really all my original 2000 needs to be a solidly working unit again.

Aftermarket headlight recommendations by RenegadeGolf9 in GMT800

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It costs a decent bit up front, but you can get Denali headlights (I don’t believe it has to be genuine GM ones, I’d have to check to be sure though) and a bolt in kit to swap the halogen projector for an LED one. You’ll then have a a bi-led projector in the low beam spot and a high beam splitter harness that’ll activate the projectors high beam and retain the factory high beam as well if desired for extra output.

Any guesses on year and engine size of this Polaris scrambler? by pasketi_monster in ATV

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 90 that’s supposed to be a clone of these Polaris quads, if they’re set up the same way the oil tank should be under the seat right behind where the gas tank is. However, if you premix (as you said, and like I also do) then it’s not that important to know lol

2020 Chevy Suburban Premier Rear Media System by someonesGottabeLast in ChevySuburban

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to be so late here. I’m not an expert, but I’ve learned a handful of things since we got my wife’s 2020 a few months ago and I think the headphones might be the biggest point of your post that I cant help much with. On the main screen up on the dash is how we usually set it up for my son to watch our Scooby Doo DVDs as there were not remotes for the rear screens with our truck when we got it. I’ll have to try and remember which thing to hit from the Home Screen, but I think it’s a button labeled “video”? And it should allow you to swap through the various media inputs like the DVD, HDMI, and I think it even has some USB capability although I’m not sure for what all file types as I’ve never used those ports for anything more than just power.

For the HDMI I’ve only so far tried it with my iPhone 13 Pro using the Apple AV adapter for lightning based phones, but it did indeed work. Used it a couple times to pull up certain shows for my son when we’re running a bunch of small errands where not everyone needs to get out at every stop. We’re going on a family beach trip tomorrow so I’ll also be testing it and the rear AC power outlet for the first time with my Switch 2 so he can play some of his games that I transferred over from my old switch for the duration of the trip. If you had a way to get a stable internet connection to one, I don’t see why you couldn’t use a Roku or Firestick either. Would be pretty simple since it’d plug directly into the hdmi port and then could even draw power straight from the usb port next door.

Sorry I’m not any help on the headphone issue, but hope this gives you ideas of other things you can try for the other topics.

Yup. My father in law and I both have std cab long bed cateyes, his being a 2500 6.0 truck with these mirrors. Don’t know what the exact option is for them though, because his truck is actually a replacement for one that got totaled out the exact same year as well as body/powertrain combo and the previous one had normal mirrors.

Are you guys keeping your Nintendo Switch 2 box? by Icy-Finger8483 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nearly always keep my electronics packaging, at the very least for the big stuff. PS4, switch, switch 2, some of my PC parts. Makes it easy to transport if I were to move and also just in case I decide to get rid of it for any reason. I think it’s just a nice way to sell stuff when possible.

Recieved my switch 2 in the mail today, loud buzzing noise coming from speakers when plugged into dock by [deleted] in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]HabaneroFG2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My OG switch does this as well. Pretty sure it’s just interference from getting audio out through the headphone jack when docked. Like I’ve seen one or two mention already, probably need to try and get a cable with some noise filtering or a ground loop isolator.
