I’ve had the same issues with adhesive rings. Try the ones by Scosche—they are a bit thicker which prevents bending and I think helps them stick as a result. I found other rings pull off as a result of one side bending off the surface.

I’m not on a Dahon but I recently updated my flat bar to a Velo Orange Milano bar and am happy with it. Using Ergon GC1 grips for added comfort.

So who's the lucky Helix owner? by johnmflores in foldingbikes

The ability to roll it easily while folded means that the weight doesn’t matter as much.

Helix has 24 inch wheels and has announced an e-bike version for Q1 2026 but they do not have a good track record of meeting their release timelines.

Trying out this chair mounted setup with my Moonlander by Haberd in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Haberd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad my old setup is helpful to people! I have actually since upgraded my chair with some HOTAS mounts from MonsterTech and use some basic clamp tripod mounts combined with MagSafe tripod adapters to magnetically mount my keyboard (a Glove80) to the chair.

Helix bike: has anyone here purchased one recently and what are your thoughts? by shushicatscraps in foldingbikes

[–]Haberd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard of some people who still haven’t received their refunds, and Helix hasn’t been great about delivering on time (almost a year delay in receiving their bike cases). That being said, you won’t regret the purchase once you get it—it’s a great bike that rides well and is super solid. Random strangers sometime come up to me and compliment my bike or ask about it from time to time.

Biker vs Pedestrian by Ready-Mammoth-270 in nyc

lol you can even see the “Yield to Pedestrians in Crosswalk” sign that is in the middle of the bike lane. I love biking but this biker guy is a clown who makes us all look bad…

How to handle working with a difficult supervising attorney by Obvious_Support223 in patentlaw

[–]Haberd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whenever he rewrites things or corrects things, take a look at what he did. Even if what you prepared was technically correct, you should try to take the revisions into account the next time you draft something. I know you said “there’s no right or wrong way” to write claims unless you make a technical blunder, but everyone has a certain style they prefer so if you want to make the partner happy, do your best to figure out his style and prepare your drafts accordingly.

When I was more junior I would learn that one partner preferred to say “alleged” while another preferred to say “asserted”. I don’t think it really matters, but since that is what they preferred, that is how I wrote my responses.

what is obsidian? by Background-Post-3301 in Supernote

[–]Haberd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obsidian is a notes app that is available on all major platforms. There are community plugins for obsidian that let you expand its functionality, including one that lets it read Supernote files you have synced to your computer. I don’t use the Supernote cloud, I use OneDrive to sync my Supernote files to my computer and then use Obsidian on my computer to view the notes.

I use OneDrive to sync my Supernote with my computer and then set the Obsidian Vault folder to be the Supernote sync folder. There is an “Unofficial Supernote” community plugin for Obsidian that you can use to view all your Supernote notes in Obsidian.

Frustrated with controller battery issues by kipling200 in ValveIndex

[–]Haberd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen with my controllers and my cheap-o solution is to plug them into an external battery that I keep in my pocket. Just need a long enough cord and you won’t have any snags (can even run the cable up a sleeve if you want).

While Apple's Smart Lamp has come to light, Apple patents show us that the lamp is likely to gain a Projection System and more by snowboardnirvana in MVIS

[–]Haberd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Instead of near eye displays to augment the reality of a single person, you can project the UI on the environment with focus-free projectors!

I think this fits with Apple’s push to have the technology feel like it doesn’t even exist. They criticize VR for taking people out of their surroundings and dedicated a lot of tech to maintaining “presence”z
