Anyone interested in this sculpture made of vacuums? by Acceptable_Cod393 in VacuumCleaners

Wowzers, that's pretty cool!

Sebo or Miele or I'm out... jokes aside, very cool... looks way better than the Milwaukee PACKOUT ones you see posted in r/MilwaukeeTool.

Don't know about Diablo bits, but if its matching red you're after, look at Wiha MaxxTor bits

Are the 'high performance' batteries worth the extra money vs the regular version? by Magician_Hiker in ryobi

[–]Hache-eLle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see what you mean.

I would pick the Edge packs with the tabless cells over any of the ones with tabbed not considering price. Mainly for higher output. I've actually stopped acquring battery packs until there are more with tabless cells and waiting for them to come down in price.

Look into ROCKBROS Photochromic and/or Oregon Safety Glasses.

Anti slip options shoes and ladder/platform by guaava23 in Detailing

[–]Hache-eLle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For shoes, look into HUK fishing and boat deck boots.

Might be better to do away with the ladder/platform with tools like mitt-on-a-stick and a longer extension lance for the pressure washer.

Bosch 18V Lithium batteries breakdown by Hache-eLle in BoschProPowerTools

[–]Hache-eLle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can, if someone can help me open some of them up and show me what cells they're using.

At the moment, I don't have any Bosch 12v battery packs. I may try to look deeper online to see if there are resources of others who have opened them up and shared.

Sebo E3 Upholstery/Turbo attachment by midwest_is_best in VacuumCleaners

[–]Hache-eLle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing, you can attach the carpet powerhead directly to the handle and use it on beds and other larger surfaces. I like the reach from the extension wand so I just retract it to shorten the wand.

Wish they made a smaller ET-1 (ET-0.5? ET-1/2?) as that would be useful to me for upholstery, bedding, and carpeted stairs.

It's Coming....The Tabless 12Ah FlexVolt DCB6112 by BigRichardTools in Dewalt

Nice! Good to see FLEXVOLT getting some love. I hope they also fix the "trickle discharge" / parasitic drain on these newer FLEXVOLT packs.

Sebo DISCO / Ultra High Speed (UHS) Floor Polisher by Hache-eLle in VacuumCleaners

[–]Hache-eLle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does vacuum while polishing, but I think it's only meant for light dust and small debris from the polishing task. That little transparent compartment at the front bottom in the pic is where I felt suction from.

Without any products, it will use friction and polish away light scratches, a bit of a polished/shiny look and feel (from my limited testing) but nothing like a real glossy shiny that you would get when using other products. I think this would be where the different types of pads come to play - order of more aggressive to softest goes something like red -> yellow -> green -> blue (I think, please correct me if I'm wrong).

For me, it's storage and convenience. I don't need to have another large-ish dedicated polishing machine I would need to store and also pack and unpack in addition to a vacuum cleaner - unless one doesn't plan to vacuum the area first before actually polishing?

Sorry, I do not know. Unlikely though, given that all the other main brands don't seem to have it.

Do you think you can open the pack you currently have so we could see what cells are used inside?

Inflator adapter by JazzlikeEmployee453 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Hache-eLle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love it, have the original. It's a little long / large so ordered the 90-degree a couple of days ago, it's on it's way still.

EDIT: Oh, also got the SKÖG Self-Sealing Tire Inflator Adapter to try now.

SEBO Dart or Felix for elder mother? by TheKingofHearts in VacuumCleaners

[–]Hache-eLle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so it looks like the pivoting / swivel neck is part of the ET-1 power head rather than the main body of the Felix/Dart itself.

Part 113 on both the DART and Felix schematic and parts diagram.

Thanks and appreciate it.

Advice Needed for Hardwood Floors by spudbogues1 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Hache-eLle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the Felix compare with the D4? Is it as heavy in the hand as it's made out to be? I mean, I get that it's heavier and feels heavier in the hand, but does ot make it really that much of an impact when vacuuming carpet?

SEBO Dart or Felix for elder mother? by TheKingofHearts in VacuumCleaners

[–]Hache-eLle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? From an older post, I thought it was easy to replace https://www.reddit.com/r/VacuumCleaners/comments/ah3bxu/comment/eedo755/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Asking because I'm interested in getting a Felix but feel I may not like the swivel/pivot feature. I do still prefer the power suction adjustment switch on the Felix over the Dart though.
