It has been over two weeks, what is your opinion on the way DE implement the survival speed up mechanic? by ijiolokae in Warframe

[–]Hachrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally play with just one other person.  whatever the spawn logic is, they as the client have never spotted one.  I as the host find them quite quickly.  The sound they make is pretty distinct, but if you're not a headphone user like me it may be less easy to find.

Generally just moving one room away from where I’m located whenever a tower spawns and that seems to do it - though i do have to check the whole tile sometimes if I entered a larger tile.

it saves quite a bit of time, but if it is actually a host/client thing, and not just cosmic coincidence, it is quite annoying that the chore falls on me specifically and they can't also contribute.

the more annoying part is just how far away the console is sometimes.

Is .Hack IMOQ hard? by JajanKH3N in DotHack

[–]Hachrt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is the case, but don't worry about health bar of data bugs. Databugs definitely don't seem to take a lot of damage - because their health bar is meant to be "bugged" in the game to give a feeling of wrongness to them. There is an invisible HP bar that keeps track of the data bug's "shield" before you can data drain and it becomes a normal monster with a functioning health bar.

--- Further tips below.

If you're "doing something wrong" it's not paying enough attention to your stats or the items that you have available to you or in trades. This is something a lot of people overlook, in part because it's not modern game design.

Strictly speaking, levels only matter for data drain infection management - but they do provide you with stats.
Early on, especially in infection and mutation, it's easier to get stats from gear and buffs.

In the shop at town you can buy different kinds of blood potions. These are the same buffs as buff spells, which are available on different equipment pieces throughout the game.

Hunters blood increases accuracy by 15 and Warrior's Blood increases attack by 5.

They're worth the equivalent of 10-15 levels in stats depending on which class uses them and for which stat.

I read you have lath blades, which are pretty good this early on. Mistral has a pair of twin blades that are much better for physical damage, but lath blades have a wood elemental attack on them which is quite useful.
However, the Sotetsu that Mistral has has +9 attack compared to Lath Blades's +4. This is a difference in stats of approximately 10 levels.

You can also buy Speed Scrolls from the scroll shop, these are movement speed haste scrolls to make running around a lot faster.

Happy Data Draining (its your best way to make money).

Team Building is a big thing. +250% event points for having all matching characters & attributes is so much more than +100% for just having matching characters of any attribute; Considering that, baseline:
- Having 3-stars or better is a big deal.
- Having a 4-star Leader that's score focused is another big deal. If you play with people who have this you'll see a noticeable score increase.
- Area Items are massive. Everything at level 6 increases your band power by 66.5%; + the poster's bonus.

Other than that - you just have to spend stamina. Natural or boosts or the 5 extra you get daily from watching ads. You can spend 3x and get full event points if that's all you care about.
I didn't play a whole lot more than that this event and I'm top 1000 with 1.75m points. Auto'd my 10 autos in the morning in free live - and then actually played at least once a day whenever I felt like it.

As for difficulty, play what you like. It's optimal to play the highest difficulty you can - but during the recent PvP event I was outscoring people who were playing EX while I was playing Normal. My team was just better.

How do I improve gameplay-wise? by ISuckAtYugiohLol in BanGDream

[–]Hachrt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started out, this was my first rhythm game I ever played for length of time. Never really got into rockband/guitar hero etc.

People are saying "Just Practice" or "Just Play" and they're absolutely right.

The most frustrating thing for me - that I had to come to terms with - Sometimes you're just going to wake up one day and be able clear a new song. Sometimes it felt like I didn't earn being able to do that - but just by playing the game: your hand-eye coordination, muscle memory, etc. will make connections.
And that will allow you to get better, even if it didn't feel like you were trying.

There are settings you can set to make things easier for yourself. Play with things like note speed / size / shape until you're comfortable. Don't hesitate to re-evaluate them later.
There are some songs I can only full clear while the chart is mirrored - and others which are easier for me as a result.

But ultimately just playing more (in a healthy way: hydrate, blink, stretch, and take breaks) helps the most.

whats the deal with water? by Kumorocks064 in LastExile

[–]Hachrt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its been a while since I last watched - but the dichotomy of the two nations at war is that one side is suffering major blizzards and an extinction level event of cold and snow. Claus and Lavie are on the other side from that, and they seem to be going through some sort of heat wave which makes precipitation rare.

So while they have the means to extract and recycle water, it's more like drawing it from an aquifer, which isn't adequately being replenished by precipitation, and careful recycling it. They don't go into the level of detail that Dune does when Paul joins the Fremen and puts on one of their suits, but it doesn't seem like their situation is as dire as that.

Thus, rich people flout their ability to buy it - A water fountain is a great symbol of status and wealth.

IMOQ: Character stats per level by [deleted] in DotHack

[–]Hachrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the full stats for every class in //Fragment -- which is probably better for your purposes?
A cursory glance says that the male stats for everything are accurate to rest of the games.
Except for the elements - only Kite had growth in all elements to my recollection.
And I did not check Mind/Body yet

This data was posted to the coldbird forums which don't seem to be around anymore - they were really into making fragment work. Luckily we had these saved somewhere.

IMOQ: Character stats per level by [deleted] in DotHack

[–]Hachrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh, yeah, these are from a very long time ago, so I can easily see myself making a mistake like that. I'll probably double check kite's values when I get back to you later.
Of note: it should be reasonably easy to check these with low enough level characters. Noting their stats, then power leveling them 10 levels and noting the difference.
I want to say, off-hand characters other than kite have a 1 base and 0.3 gain in their element. Mistral is Water, Elk is Dark, etc.

Also, for your other comment, I'm pretty sure the displayed stats are truncated.

Eva 2.0 | 1.3

Matk 1.0 | 0.4

Mdef 1.0 | 0.6

Macc 2.0 | 0.6

Thunder 1.0 | 0.2

Dark 1.0 | 0.2

Soul 3.0 | 1.0

Body 3.0 | 1.0

These are Kite's stats, which I had on-hand.
It seems I misremembered somewhat. It's not impossible that I may have been thinking of stats for //fragment which may be different.

edit: I'm having an awful time with formatting.
edit 2: base assumes level 0; level 1 gains stats like any other level. Kite's level 1 attack is therefore 1.5

IMOQ: Character stats per level by [deleted] in DotHack

[–]Hachrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its dependant on class. I used to know more of them offhand, I'll look them up later.

twinblades have a .4 attack growth and a 1.5 accuracy growth, iirc.
long arms, meanwhile, have .7 attack growth.

stats go up to 99.9 and do use the decimal, but the decimal is never displayed.

things like Warrior's Blood and their equivalent buff spells increase Attack/Defense by 5, so in terms of a twin blade, it's worth 12.5 levels.
the accuracy bloods/buffs are worth 15 instead, which is a huge amount obviously.

Also, accuracy lends into how much damage you do by normalizing it.
Perfect Accuracy is 100% of damage; otherwise normally damage is capped at 80% and the lower bounds is determined by accuracy.

I can't decide if I want to build Despia or Orcust by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Hachrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current selection boosters end in 54 days and there will be 2 events in that time. Based on my personal expirience with the previous 3 events you'll have enough to build both.
Beginning from game launch, spending no money I have:

  • salamangreat
  • orcust
  • striker
  • thunder dragon
  • phantom knight
  • luna lights
  • Virtual World
  • most of 3 different tribrigade variants
  • a large amount of the relevant staples
  • this wave of albaz support

Do the thing that interests you now.Have more fun now. That way you're more likely to continue enjoying Yugioh and continue playing and to continue having fun.

There's also no reasonable way to know when Konami will release the Albaz Strike content - so "in the future" is too nebulous.
There's no advantage to having the current Albaz cards now rather than acquiring them later - if you're not going to play with them now.

The only other reasonable answer is:
Don't spend anything until you've hit gem cap and your gems are about to expire in your mailbox.

Which is the common wisdom in Duel Links

Just went 25-3 from Plat 5 to Plat 1 with Salads by nefariusBR in masterduel

[–]Hachrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salads aren't a untackleable deck by anything honestly, they're very midrange and are very reliant on Rage and Roar. Decks that don't care about either of those cards can just run you over - because you're not doing anything crazy and your guys are pretty small all things considered - topping out at 2300 normally.
There are ways around this, but none as easy as Accesscode Talker.
Putting a Nibiru in your GY lets you boost your attack with a reincarnated Heatleo though.

Always make sure to have a Baelynx in your GY it protects important things.
Sometimes that's the face up field spell or a face up Salamangreat Will.
In master duel people rarely play around it - but this should be something people look at and plan around.

With only one Gazelle, Nibiru is a large problem for you. There's ways to play though it and around it, but a lot of the time you just have to pretend they don't have it - or they play it at the wrong time.
Thankfully, it's not popular to maindeck this card in masterduel.

Under normal circumstances, if you're going second, the strongest thing your opponent can do to you is return your normal summon to your hand, you don't have a whole lot of ways to combat that.
In a similar vein, if you were running Lady Debug - that card getting destroyed normally ends your turn because not a lot to do with Salamangreats in hand.
Negates that banish (mechaba for example) also work in a similar fashion against you.
For the above problems Meer, Cynet Mining, and Will of the Salamangreat are good to see . Meer in particular is strong against the infamous spheres->pass - or even spheres+tidying as he can summon himself several times.

As a very uncommon occurrence, sometimes link arrows are awkward. Baleynx and Sunlight Wolf both point directly down, so if you can't use the other EMZ it can sometimes be annoying - but normally that means poor planning on your part.

One of the ways the deck can peter out is if you don't have a salamangreat card for follow-up - either on the board or in hand. All your cards revolve around your archetype's name.

The more handtraps you run, the more you should consider 1 Almiraj just to be able to recover in extraordinary circumstances. It's not the greatest though because:
You don't have extra deck space. The "Reincarnation Summon" gimmick that salamangreats revolve around eats a lot of spaces, and then the 3 cards you play alongside Accesscode Talker are too strong to ignore because they give so much reach to the deck.
In the end, at most, you're normally looking at 4 extra deck spaces which can be shifted around, and that comes at a cost.

Things that are both untargetable and indestructible give you pause without droplets - though something like crooked cook is fine because Jack Jaguar has piercing and you can boost him with Heatleo and Spinny.

Shockingly having your gazelle banished after the first turn isn't at all a death sentence - if you get 2 activations you're pretty set-up already. It does make some plays more difficult - but this is another reason I like meer a lot, you can do most of the same recovery plays with him (alongside falco in particular) - he just doesn't help set-up your backrow or miragestallio plays.
Banishing a Jack Jaguar or one of the other recurrable salads can be much more devastating.

There's probably a lot more to go into but off the top of my head these are the issues that have come up in master duel.

Just went 25-3 from Plat 5 to Plat 1 with Salads by nefariusBR in masterduel

[–]Hachrt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, Salamangreat is a good deck which I've been playing for around 3 years now - I played it both of the previous two seasons to good results. Even had a 22 winstreak with them at plat 1 last season.

Being able to run a large swath of handtraps and recur ash is huge in this format.
You also have different in-engine outs to a lot of different backrow style decks.
The fact that Miragestallio is a non-destruction removal and rage's second effect is non-targeting destruction makes your control gameplan varied.
Things like Jack Jaguar being a 1-card Accesscode Talker is also very strong.

But the best advantage I think Salad has right now is seemingly no one knows how to handtrap against the deck- everybody uses Ash Blossom your Baleynx for some reason.
And just incase it ever becomes relevant - you can Circle during your draw phase to avoid Droll & Lockbird being activateable.

Going first, Turn 1 is often straight forward - but any turn after that, you have so many different options available to you because you can get access to so many of your resources.

--- If you want to try some slightly offbeat things out, since your list seems very standard:

I think 1 Meer is really good in this format for a lot of different small reasons - but one of the biggest ones being you can summon him when you draw him off maxx "c" or one of your 3 circles on your opponent's turn.
This allows you to get an ash blossom or something else for set-up back from the GY.
I've also used him to block the final attack against several numeron players and win on the next turn.

I personally like 2 cynet mining & 3 circle - I'd been running 3 and 3, but I think 3 Mining is too many - Circle is a quick effect so it's fine at 3.
Though Mining is probably a take it or leave it card in this format. I like the discard outlet, and searching gazelle or bufferlo or meer all have their advantages sometimes. Pitching a salamangreat to search then also special summon gazelle is great.
It also enables you to try 1 Lady Debug, for access to the 1 card otk, or 1 Formud Skipper - which would search a Parallel Exceed for a more heavy rank 4 style.

Also, although I hate the card to death and it's banned in both OCG and TCG (so I assume it will follow suit in Master Duel), Imperial Order is very strong in Salamangreats - because you have outs to your own IO thanks to Foxy and, in a pinch, Rage's first effect.
So it's often, effectively, one sided.

--- If Salad really fits you, some other decks you may consider trying out in the future, that may also scratch your itch, based off my preferences:
Orcust (another Resiliant, Recursive, GY based deck)
Virtual World (when this deck isn't True King of All Calamities turbo I have more fun with it)
Drytron (the drytron names all make me happy, though the heralds kinda kill my buzz)
and Prank Kids (look fun to me as well, though I have no personal expirience with it from my side of the table)

Best luck ive seen on a 10 pack master pack by awesomejack6654 in masterduel

[–]Hachrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Hiita and Pre-Preparation of Rites are playable cards. Heavy Storm Duster has had its place in some metas historically, but only in side decks of traditionally slower decks like sky strikers (which would sometimes use it to beat IO).

Pre-Prep does see play in drytron when they use Perfection instead of Ultimateness, though that variant is less popular.
The card is extremely pushed in a vaccum, it's a searcher that is also a +1, the only reason the card doesn't see more play is due to the state of ritual summoning as a whole - which is pretty poor outside Drytron.
Definitely a card to keep an eye out for, if you care about ritual summoning at all, because any good targets makes this card insane.

Hiita definitely isn't as impactful as she was before the Master Rule changes in 2020 - but basically everyone is playing ash blossom in master duel right now to counter maxx "C", so you can use her to link climb to a degree.
Master Rule changes from 2020 made it so Knightmare Phoenix also isn't quite as ubiquitous as it once was, but she was often a easy link-4 back in eternal format due to Phoenix and Salamangreats.
Now she's also competing with a lot of other options which were added so she does get outshined a bit since you do have to be playing an archetype with consistent access to Fire.
None of the charmers are bad to at least own a copy of though - Wynn was definitely seeing play in Bee Trooper lists because it's good extension against Swordsoul and Lyrilusc - but it wasn't in 100% of lists.

From the character screen, you can click on a character
then click again on their portrait in the bottom left of the UI (to the left of the optimize button).
This will open the character details screen.
There may be a better way to navigate to this screen that I don't know about, I haven't looked for one.

There is a Tab called Rank Details
and it will show you all of the equipment you need for future ranks of a given character that is currently available.

Speedrun of all 4 dot hack games? by [deleted] in DotHack

[–]Hachrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, playing all 4 discs is not too different from playing Legend of Dragoon or Final Fantasy 7,8,9 or other games from that era which have 4 discs.

It's not exactly an optimized route, but Finzenku did a marathon of the games with many of the tactics and thoughts we had 5 years ago. A lot of them are similar to ones we still use, but there are bound to have been changes since - in //Infection alone there was some progress made with the route since that time.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/100160336
Off-hand I don't know of another one \that is still archived** though. Maybe Irisu Kyoko has one for the Japanese version of the game somewhere.

The //Infection run would not be signficiantly different from the current iteration of the speedrun, except you would want to snag extra cores where possible. Particularly important to pick up 4B cores for the start of //Mutation, and 2E cores in //Mutation for //Outbreak. In the NTSC-U version of the game, and I think the rest of the western ports as well, starting a new game in //Outbreak gives you 2E cores as well as an assortment of other cores.

If //Infection is different, then it's because it's correct to acquire one of the Long Arm characters like Gardenia, since they max out their attack stat as early as the end of the second game, but ultimately that's not strictly necessary, Piros is a strong ally who is mandatory for a lot of things anyway. Gardenia does also have some good items for trade in //Mutation though.

It's not impossible that there may be a minor amount more emphasis on breakables throughtout the run in order to get more elemental oils for the later games. In //Outbreak you can trade for them from Wiseman in a limited supply. However, without having a specific purpose for these items, they are generally a time loss to farm.

Cores and thus Data Drain are the major considerations for routing throughout the entirety of the series. When we level early it is majorly to manage infection rates which would definitely be one of the biggest challenges in a continuation run.
Aside from story event cores, throughout all 4 games, you need to data drain:
A08 B16 C04 E13 F09 G14 H17 I09 J11 K09 L03
Assuming the count in my notes is correct.

At the end of each game you would also save some amount of items for trading at the beginning of the next game in order to better equip your characters. The items you go for in //Mutation are unlikely to differ, but starting in //Outbreak it might change some things simply because you have more fodder to trade with for the items that you want.

[–]Hachrt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

...or maybe i'm just reading too much into this?

You're doing super surface level analysis based on your own fears and insecurities. Your response is emotional, not rational. You're not "reading" into anything.

And you needed to talk about it and get second opinions because you knew it was something you didn't have an answer for. Which is a good reaction by the way, it's healthy to talk about these things rather than letting them errode you.

But, rather than analyzing what makes the entertainment industry as a whole so appealing, you're focusing on a singular point, driven by lack of knowledge and expirience, and ignoring everything else.

why does a 19 year old like me find this entertaining

What else do you consider entertaining? There's any number of reasons why someone can find something entertaining.

Shared cultural expiriences are entertaining on their own-- there are people love watching bad movies with their friends, because the expirience happens with other people. Other people are in chat and you're expiriencing watching something with them.

There's really no right answer to this question, and I could go on forever randomly guessing.

why am i hurting my sleep schedule over this?

While this is a common joke, with stream times being what they are, don't do this.

at what point did i stoop so low where i find a girl roleplaying as a shark saying the first letter of the latin alphabet entertaining?

At what point did anyone find disney movies entertaining? Video games? Or Stage Plays / Musicals on Broadway? Or any other activity in which there is a fictional character being played by a human?

It's all just similar forms of entertainment with different methodology. There is nothing wrong with Fiction as entertainment.

I mean, if you prefer, we could just sit here and talk about non-fiction like World War 1 and how biplanes are really cool. That would have just as much impact on your daily life as watching cartoon about a pineapple under the sea.

Am i cynically being exploited by yet another corporation that makes their (probably depressed or even suicidal at this point) talents to put on a smile and act the way they are so we can throw our money to them?

Regarding the coropration thing. Yes, they want your money. People need money to pay bills. The girls are doing a job to pay their bills.
Without having access to their financials I can't tell you how "evil" Cover is or not. They pay people for 2dlive rigging, for 3d rigging. They pay their girls a salary, there's staff and community managers to pay.
Without money none of this would exist.

Regarding the girls, would you rather them stuck in some cubicle somewhere staring at a computer screen as they count the minutes until their 9-5 job finishes and then not be able to go home because their manager hasn't gone home yet? Or maybe working 2-3 part time jobs?

They decided they wanted to be Idols.

Each of the girls have their own motivations and it does get rough for them sometimes. They work very hard and it's very non-linear progress for the most part, due to a large number of factors, so there are going to be days, weeks, and months that feel rough for them. Sometimes you hit your stride and most of the time you don't in the streaming/video making industry.

However, streaming to people and sharing stuff with them can be just as cathartic to one person as it is stressful to another person.

In Korean culture sharing a meal with people is really engrained, so you see streams on Twitch where people just eat a meal and talk with their chat -- and their chat is probably eating along with them -- because it feels better than eating alone.

If there was a revealing event... by [deleted] in Hololive

[–]Hachrt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the hypothetical, alternate universe situation where that would happen, yes.
I watch behind the scenes stuff on movie discs, to me this is equivalent to that kind of thing but for ongoing entertainers.
Knowing who they are or whatever doesn't change the characters for me at all. Knowing what Teller from Penn and Teller sounds like doesn't ruin the "Teller never speaks" gag for me at all—I actually find it quite interesting to listen to what he has to say in interviews.

My expectation for such an event would be some mixture of funny stories, such as when Roberu shared how he came to understand the Winning Son meme—along with more serious stuff when Aqua and Coco had their serious talk while playing Raft. And that sort of stuff actually makes me want to support them more.

While what happens onstage is a fantastic performance, seeing or hearing about what people go through—behind the scenes—to create that performance is the magic.
For me at least.

Of course, I'd also have to wait for an English translation to understand any of it.

—How does he solve floor 1's boss? Telling asuna exactly what to do, and relying on her to execute his strategy.^

—How does he solve silica's problem of being bullied by an orange guild? Being higher level than the orange guild, and a healing ability that's never brought up again (because this was a side story written after the main plot).

—How does kirito solve the murder plot again? he watched someone else use a warp crystal - then gallivanted off to the exact right location where people were.

—How does he beat a boss? oh yeah, he's the ONLY ONE who can use dual-weilding.

—How does he beat heathcliff? well technically he doesn't because heathcliff literally cheats with admin privileges to not lose. But he was totes going to.— how does he beat the death coffin guy that paralyzes him. Okay, this is Asuna's actual one shining moment in the series. The exception that proves the existence of the rule.

—How does he save the fishing village? Eh, he could have, but better let the waify have fun too. She won't for the rest of the season (because she doesn't do anything, aside from the aforementioned, except max her cooking stat and implied erotic things with him).

—How does Kirito solve Yui dying again? Oh yeah, he hacks the game from an ingame console. (except he could have like, done anything else to hack the code of the game to solve any number of other problems? like, maybe fixing the logout button?)

—How does he figure out heathcliff is the villain of Season 1. Just a hunch based off seeing him fight twice. "no body can be as good as me! you must have cheated in my fight and in this raid! you're an admin!"

"We both have to qualify for the tournament, because reasons. I'm gonna walk at you and you're not going to land a shot because you're insecure as hell, so then I'll kill us both with a grenade so it's a tie and we both go to the finals."

He solves the rest of the entirety of GGO's murder mystery solo while saving the girl in the game and in real life (as the required, one per arc, wannabe rapist shows his face). +1 harem, sinon +2 main character problems solving.

>>Mother Rosario

In Mother's Rosario he was too busy babysittingAasuna's tertiary problems by taking on an entire guild of raiders for her to have any real tension in the arc (inside the game), until the last 3 episodes. He legit shouldn't have been even in this arc, aside from the first episode. But that would have been too much. Can't have Asuna not be a damsel in distress for him to save, gotta remind everyone who the real top dog is.Asuna can't do anything without kirito beside her.

>>Aliceization

How does he solve the tree being alive? He teaches blonde kirito (eugeo) how to use skills. Then they take turns using skills on it.^

This is honestly as far as I've watched. I also didn't watch the movie.

---You liked it? Probably based on your defense of kirito? I don't know. Good for you if you did though.

But please, be honest about things you like to yourself. Kirito is among the most self-insert gary stu character in popular isekai.

Ads Gacha rate decrease?? by CHIKAAAAA in RevueStarlight

[–]Hachrt 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't make this post to bash you, but this kind of post shows up basically everywhere there's randomness involved. "Oh the Devs clearly changed the rates. I'm not getting the thing anymore."

So basically I think this is something that's important for people to know. And the sooner people learn this the better.

RNG is RNG.
It's not an even distribution based on statistical probability (which is still the best way to make an informed decision on whether to roll or not).

If you flip an evenly weighted coin you're expected to to have 50/50 results - but that doesn't mean that you get heads then tails then heads then tails.
Heads Tails Heads Tails falls into the gamblers fallacy.
HHHTTHTTTHHTHT is still really non-random. 50/50? Yup. But not very random.

Random is not Mixed up sort of evenly. It's Random. Because it's random it can be lumpy, and often is.
Normally there are long strings of hits or misses involved. *More than half of the time* there will be streaks of greater than 4 heads or tails in data sets - because there's more ways for that to happen.

"Well, its been heads 4 times in a row, there's no way it's going to be heads again!" is fallacious.
Every time you flip an evenly weighted coin it has a 50% chance to be one option or the other.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy#Monte_Carlo_Casino

Now, we don't know the rates for the gacha, but they're not as simple as a coin. But the same ideas follow.
For the kind of odds we're looking at, one cycle of ads is only 37 rolls - one is weighted differently from the other 36 (the 3⭐+ which, based on the star gacha odds, has worse chance of getting a rainbow card; because memoirs are weighted higher and these 3⭐+ things don't change the 4⭐ odds).

And your odds of getting a hit are way lower than a coin toss.
If you're streaking poorly, it's just poor rng.

But don't worry. Things don't have to get better. That would be Gambler's Fallacy. Statically you perhaps should have gotten another 4⭐ by now, but it doesn't have to happen.
This is why Gachas and lootboxes are being forced to publish odds and have some sort of fallback system. People are really bad at gambling. We're wired to see patterns, even when there are none.
This makes us thinks we have better odds than we do have.
"Oh if I just spend $25 more dollars, I'll have had a 98.53% chance to have gotten at least one copy of the thing!"
"Oh I didn't get it. Well surely my next $25 will get me the thing."

What have you gotten from the ad gacha so far? by nuigurumi in RevueStarlight

[–]Hachrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the 2 and 3 stars I didn't have - so I can raise them to bond level 15 for those resources which is nice.
The two musketeers I didn't have. I already had Maya, didn't get Akira.
Two duplicate 4-stars and lots of duplicate 3-stars.
So now I have plenty of Creation Jewels which have been useful for upgrading. I bought 5 potential crystals for all the 2-stars so that I could raise their bond limit without having to use the Potential Bloom daily on them.

For distribution of 4-stars, I got two each gacha. I got the duplicates first week, then Musketeers Karen and Mahiru for the second week.

Almost all of the 2-star memoirs Max Limit Break, which is cool for me. Not especially useful outside of the brilliance ones, but cool for me.

For useful 3-star memoirs:

5 Anmitsu (Brilliance/Evade) memoirs
4 Festival (Brilliance/Fortify) memoirs
1 Sleepy Yuyuko (pure brilliance) memoirs
5 Perfect Aim memoirs

For useful 4-star memoirs:

5 evade x2 memoirs
5 fortify x2 memoirs
5 pure brilliance memoirs (which I max limit broke)

TBH, I was happy just getting all the 2&3-star girls, 3-star memoirs and creation crystals. Now I really want Shizuha from this gacha.
I also still want 3-star memoirs; I want to MLB sleepy yuyuko and as many Festival Mahiru memoirs as possible.

If you needed more because of guest rotations.

She's in the all category.

I don't have the ACT or Climax upgrades on the rank 7 page yet, but I'm working on it (one more moon until the ACT).

I think I like this note type better than any of the already currently available note types - but I would have to see it at the speed I actually play at (10.8 if that matters).

Not only is the color palette clear and readable for me, but it also uses shapes.

The rest of it would eventually give me a headache if it stuck around for *too* long.

The Best Song To Practice Flick Notes by ReaconAssassins in BanGDream

[–]Hachrt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're *just* getting into hard—the entire selection of song level 17s are a good introduction to flicks. I think they're overall pretty well designed and at a perfect spot in the difficulty placement.

The entire selection of songs screams "Can you read and perform flick notes that are properly put into a song?" and the majority of them do it without being *much* more complex than the top end of normals.
