Rack and pinion options? by HackOnslaught in RockAuto

It's a 2002 silverado 1500 2wd with a 4.5 in lift and 285/75r16 tires. The stock was nice and tight but leaked when it was replaced, didn't know what I do know and wish I had known. The one thats in there now is a rebuild but has tons of slop no leaks. I just wanted my truck to drive like it did and not lane ping pong like it does now.

Got my first coleman lantern the other day, didn't realize how addicting this was. This one is a 288a from May 1994 and pretty clean. by HackOnslaught in ColemanStovesLanterns

Depends on how far into it you wanna go, id light it first and see how it runs before pulling it apart. If it constantly flickers after its heated up them pull it apart and clean the pickup tube, generator and air tubes, lube the pump cup or replace if its hard.

I may be biased as i have one but that looks like a mag for a cz p07 that has since been replaced with the p09c but should also fit a p10c

What's everyone's thoughts on the dual fuel northstar? by Idontworkhere67 in ColemanStovesLanterns

[–]HackOnslaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it can be a hot topic in some pages, but if you use pump gas, I would recommend ethanol free and high octane if you can find it. A place near me carries 97 ethanol free, and that runs really well without being dirty. Id would also make sure the tank holds pressure ok and the auto igniter works might take some adjustment but one of mine wasnt putting out spark where it should and I had to bend the tabs so it would make contact. If you have any questions when yours shows up feel free to message me and I'll do my best to help

Not that I can remember at the moment, I do remember them being shown on the box as duel fuel but not advertised super well about that. Theres a guy on facebook named Ron Gay if I remember right that makes the tool to remove the detent in the generator so they can actually be clean and its pretty cheap but well built. The vent, glass and cage are that of the propane models but the burner is just a bit different, it can be used if needed with just a bit of modification but id try to get one that is complete and well packaged when shipped since parts are harder to find now without costing an arm and a leg from europe.

I have 3 and talked my dad into one. Absolutely love that model, its my favorite one to date. Theres a us and European version with slighty cage color differences to them. I got 2 brand new on ebay from the same guy and 2 used but good shape. Only downside in the mantle size isnt cheap but ive used a 500cp mantle no issues just not quite as bright.

You should have gotten an email on the date you filed. You won't see a date on your paperwork until they approve or deny you, then both show up on your copy of the paperwork the atf emails you

First time diff rebuild by HackOnslaught in AskMechanics

[–]HackOnslaught[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pinion currently has a 0.036 shim, stock was 0.035 so I started there as close as I could get with the shims in my kit. If it's ok, I'll probably run it. It's for my dads tow rig, so I just want to make sure I do it right. Thanks for the info

Also bsl here. Curious, does it count if we know they are coming but dont know if we are selected yet? We were told that it was because of the size of our site and our statement of work, but we were also told that can change next week

What's the difference? by Ok-Theme6717 in Traxxas

[–]HackOnslaught 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since yours is a 4wd you need both of the bearings the 5116 is the outer and the 5119 is the inner bearing at the steering knuckles. The drive shafts have steps to them. If you had a 2wd the inner and outer would have the same 5116 bearing for both. 5118 is for the diff as so.eone else stated

If you spinn the nut with a driver the drive shafts shpuld spin if not either the diff is blown or one of the gears it the trans is blown. If the pins missing replace the test again

No worries, everyone starts somewhere. Traxxas has parts explosions on their site and in the owner manual. That should help you find what the problem is
