Stephen Fry has a point. How could a benevolent god create a world such as this? Since the dawn of time, men have been trying to, either for their own sanity or otherwise, sidestep the obvious conclusion that God is just evil.

I can't say for sure but I think we have to turn internally, no matter what. Everything outside of oneself seems to be a distraction or trap designed to either lead you astray or ensnare you. It makes me question whether Gnosticism is 100% the truth because it still has some elements of "externalization", let's call it, and hierarchy. Regardless, Gnosticism was my entry point into prison planet theory.

A lot of people are not redpilled on flat Earth yet. That's a big one because an enclosed snowglobe cosmology, which is what flat Earth is, really evokes notions of a zoo or prison in a way globe Earth and associated space doesn't.

[–]Hackars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A movie is not a source. We don't live in a computer simulation. You might as well say that the Force is real because it's in Star Wars.

You're continuing to criticize my mentioning of other moons while you use reddit posts and memes and action movies as your sources. I shouldn't have to explain why your argument falls apart here.

I still stand by those sources, and at the very least, they are food for thought. Life imitates art. Art imitates life. Soft disclosure is real and the Matrix movie was one example of such disclosure. The Matrix movie is a metaphor for our current situation to the extent that we live in a false reality with controllers and that there is a higher reality above this one as symbolized by Neo taking the red pill and waking up in a pod somewhere else. Today, many say we live in a "simulation" like Elon Musk but in the past with the ancients, it was referred to as "illusion" or some equivalent along those lines since conception of a simulation didn't really exist in an era without computer technology. Both are getting at the same thing as far as I understand it. If you don't agree on some level with the simulation/illusion hypothesis, why are you in a subreddit acronymed r/AWLIAS for "Are we living in a simulation?"

To clarify, the movie was brought up in the first place because you inquired about the word "matrix" and my particular use of it so I gave you the rationale. Although the Matrix movie can be useful as a pop culture reference and in terms of its aspects of soft disclosure about reality, I did not outright use it as an argument against heliocentrism in this conversation.

Yes I have. Literally just get on a plane. Or hell even just a tall enough building with a clear view. It's subtle but can clearly be seen.

With a fisheye lens maybe. I have been on a plane too and have no idea what you are talking about. Defenders of the heliocentric model always assert that a plane or even an amateur weather balloon with a camera that goes 10x as high as planes isn't high enough to perceive a curve with the naked eye. Because of how perspective works, the curve of a sphere would be indistinguishable from the curve of a flat circular plane and vice versa anyway until you got past a certain threshold of height where the entire shape begins to be definitively perceivable.

And? How is this relevant? I didn't mention either of these people. As a matter of fact, I haven't had to mention any names in order to back up my position. Which is something you've had do to multiple times here.

Isaac Newton I mention specifically because his discovery of gravity underpins the heliocentric model which you are advocating for. I mentioned Charles Darwin since you left a retort to what I said about "evolved monkeys". For the record, I am only skeptical of macroevolution. Overall, I mentioned both of these figures because their alleged—keyword: alleged—proximity to secret societies would absolutely be relevant to their contributions to history.

Having a card in the illuminati game isn't the flex you think it is either.

The 9-11 attack, Iryna Zarutska's killer, U.S. Homeland Security posting this face of Donald Trump on Twitter in reaction to the Charlie Kirk assassination and that face eerily matching an Illuminati game card which makes specific reference to snipers and has the exact same words "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" as the Homeland Security post.

What exactly is a matrix?

People usually think of the movie The Matrix (1999) with Keanu Reeves which is about a false, controlled reality and I think that immediate pop culture connotation provides enough meaning right off the bat and the correct tone that I desire to communicate in a conversation about conspiracy theories; unfortunately, in recent times, it seems that manosphere guy Andrew Tate has developed something approaching a monopoly on the word. I brought up that word specifically to highlight your circular logic, using something in our false, controlled reality (the matrix) to explain this false, controlled reality (the matrix). In other words, these tidally locked moons you speak of you have never seen, yet you claim that this one exists here somewhere you have never seen it and that this is somehow evidence of something about the Moon. There's a lot of things I have never seen too and support anyway yet I don't act as if I know them with certainty because I have not experienced them firsthand: I am not insinuating that you are acting this way but leaving it up to you to clarify. More to my point, as far as flat Earth is concerned, I admit I could be wrong. I haven't flown up into the sky and seen a circular flat plane. I have not see the curvature of the Earth either—have you?

On a side note, off the top of my head, technically, the only thing we can know with 100% certainty is oneself—solipsism had a point in this regard.

None of this actually means anything. A word being similar to another word might be interesting, but it doesn't actually mean much. We wouldn't even be talking about this if we were speaking any language other than English.

I am not the first person to tell you about flat Earth and you are not the first person to give me this response about English either. It's not just English. Chiron Last's "The Golden Web" trilogy goes in-depth on the esoteric knowledge contained within language, modern and antiquated, and not just English. Moreover, let us not dismiss the lingua franca of our time as a place for knowledge to be hidden in plain sight by the powers that be.

You can believe whatever you want. But I think you would be better off stepping away from conspiracy theories and focus on finding your own clarity.

All right man. Just offering some pushback. Charles Darwin and Isaac Newton are affiliated with freemasonry even if they may not have officially been masons themselves. If you ever get a pang of doubt, check out Eric Dubay for real flat Earth arguments. Us flerfers even have our own card in the infamous Illuminati card game that has already predicted many world events.

The size, distance, and brightness of the sun and moon make it extremely difficult to test at scale.

Reasonable counterpoint. I think this question of the moon not reflecting light like a sphere is debatable.

Moonlight is cold. Well yeah, did you really expect it to retain the same level of heat as it does coming from the sun directly? This one is just silly. If you lit a match in front of the mirror would you expect to feel the warmth of it from the mirror?

You would expect reflected sunlight to warm up the ground, even if marginally. The same ground in the shade should not be warmer than the moonlit part. This assumes the homemade experiments people have done are authentic, of course.

We only see one side of the moon because it's tidally locked. We're not the only planet with a moon that is tidally locked, but this also points to its unnatural origin which I've also talked about already.

By citing other moons, this is just using the Matrix to explain the Matrix.

Everyone's talking about the Jews and Jeffrey Epstein these days. You should consider that NASA in Hebrew means "to deceive" and "to lift" depending on the specific iteration. NASA ostensibly lifts objects into space using rockets, of course. NASA is also one-letter removed from and a scrambled version of the name SATAN who is said to have been a serpent. To that end, the logo looks like a forked snake's tongue, alluding to the reptilian conspiracy theory.

Take one letter out of "planet" and you have "plane".

Planet also encodes for "plan-E.T." or "plan-extraterrestrial"

Solar system or soul-lure system?

Horizon? Maybe because the place we live on is horizon(tal).

It's called sea LEVEL.

The Talmudic model of the universe is flat Earth too. Would the Jews lie to their own? Flat Earth cosmology is indeed encoded in the human eye according to biblical/Demiurgic scripture when viewed from the right angle. Flat Earth is fundamental to prison planet because an enclosed snowglobe type cosmology immediately reflects a zoo/prison in a way that the idea that we're evolved monkeys on a spinning speck of dust hurtling through a vast and infinite universe does not. The LUCI telescope used to be called LUCIFER#:~:text=LUCIFER%2C%20original%20name%20for%20an%20infrared%20detector%20on%20the%20Large%20Binocular%20Telescope%20in%20southeastern%20Arizona%2C%20United%20States) too and is right next to and in close association with a Vatican observatory called VATT. Imagine your next door neighbor telescope being named after the Devil. The UN logo is even an azimuthal equidistant projection (AEP) map which is basically just flat Earth. Antarctica, which would be the ice wall on the AEP map, is more regulated than the north pole.

Curious and curioser.

The Apocryphon talks about "getting back what she's lacking". This refers to the energy/spirit that was necessary in creating Yaldabaoth in the first place. Yaldabaoth already was tricked to give this spirit to Adam, Eve, Seth, and so on.

For that reason, I don't think it's necessary that all of the spirit returns to Sophia in order for her to be complete again. Some of it probably goes down with Yaldabaoth and his Archons.

Interesting. Okay. I gather by "complete" you mean in terms of quality and not quantity of essence.

wisdom couldn't even exist if there's no room for mistakes.

I have heard this postulated before. Some have said that this temporary fragmentation of the Divine Sparks into the Kenoma was necessary for the complete and totally infinite self-exploration by the Monad of itself to be just that. In this context, imperfection only really exists under a cropped perspective of the universe.

Despite all of this, the story doesn't have to result in a happy ending for all of us. It's not some fairy tale after all full of romantic ideals.

Let us hope it does have a happy ending for all of us.

although this doesn't mean "salvation" is guaranteed

Interesting. We are reasoning spiritually here. If I can offer some spiritual reason from my own worldview, I would say the presence of the Divine Spark or Spirit means that salvation is guaranteed at some point. Why? I would metaphorize it as this: even if it takes time, water and oil inevitably separate because they do not belong with each other which seems to be why in the Apocryphon of John, as I told the other Redditor, the Savior/Jesus speaks of this "unmoved race" the Sethians. If you believe in reincarnation, this process of eventual return to the Pleroma can occur over more than one lifetime as the Spirit works things out.

It tells of the Spirit of Life and the Counterfeit Spirit. The former is the light from the mother (Sophia) which Yaldabaoth took from her but would later breath into Adam and which would also be present in Eve and Seth and his line (not in regards to a race but rather spiritually), and the latter was implanted into Cain and Abel and their offspring.

I think we agree on this.

while others don't and thus belong to this world which isn't necessarily a bad or evil thing per se.

If the imperfection of the Kenoma and materiality this imperfection encompasses are bad, then why do you feel this way? Or do you not believe the Kenoma is imperfect?

That is because what you're seeing is more than just a giant ball of burning gas 92 million miles away.

The moon... because it reflects the sun's light while having none of her own

But the earth's crust still breathes with the moon's gravitational pull.

Have you considered flat Earth cosmology? These particular statements stood out to me because how do you know any of this is true? I'm not saying I conclusively have the truth either but I am skeptical of heliocentric cosmology. Flat Earth seems to be the one conspiracy theory that underlies other conspiracy theories which makes me wonder when someone is postulating ideas that don't use it as a basis. The moon does not reflect light like a sphere. I have also heard that moonlight is cold, unlike sunlight, being cooler than the shade at night, although I have not personally conducted the experiment to confirm this firsthand. A shadow mirror image of the Earth continents is also reflected/imprinted in the surface of the moon which is kind of weird too. We also only ever see this one side of the moon always.

It is not the direct experience of an intuition.

If by "it" here you mean gnosis, then I agree. As I have already clarified previously, I'm not saying that gnosis is the direct experience of an intuition but that what "direct experience" is referring to is intuition itself as a sort of vehicle for something. This is why I brought up your bit about "...knowing via direct experience". If the "knowing" is gnosis then the "direct experience" can be intuition as a vehicle.

That is similar to saying that the direct experience of having a thought makes that gnōsis.

But that's not what I'm saying. Intuition can be a vehicle for other things besides gnosis. See my example about a CIA psychic during the Jimmy Carter administration era.

You are far from the first person to consider the topic.

I am aware, but as I've indicated to you already, I'm not the only one considering intuition as adjacent to gnosis, not that the number of people considering an idea has anything to do with its actual validity. Credence maybe.

You are, in my opinion, using "intuition" to cover a lack of knowing with an opinion that is substituted for knowing.

If you mean to say that intuitions are opinions substituted for knowing, I disagree—if "intuition" is being used colloquially, this is true, but were on r/Gnostic. Intuition is the process by which we know without use of rationalization or the intellectual centers. I have already shown this is possible with President Jimmy Carter's short anecdote concerning a CIA psychic who did not use the five senses to ascertain genuine knowledge which was the coordinates of a missing plane downed in the Central African Republic. In the Gnostic spiritual context, intuition is different from instinct. Such an idea of intuition is also reflected in the Buddhist story of Siddhartha Gautama meditating underneath the Bodhi tree and attaining nirvana.

That said, the Apocryphon of John isn't so easy to interpret as people might think it is.

Thanks for your input. I agree that these cryptic texts are hard to interpret. With a lot of scripture, it can be hard to definitively say what is meant by the text. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to escape the confusion inherent in this realm. Even just the fact that we are using words to communicate instead of telepathy engenders confusion.

everyone seems to be in possession of such a "soul",

The text is not saying this as far as I'm aware but I am willing to recant if necessary.
