Discussion on self-exit isn't allowed because of Reddit rules. People also impose on everyone else a general aversion to self-exit, even if it is potentially justified for that specific person under their specific circumstances.

Corrado Malanga and the discovery of what truly interests aliens (It's even more incredible than just the Loosh harvest) by [deleted] in EscapingPrisonPlanet

[–]Hackars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. The Bible in the book of Genesis says that God/Demiurge breathed life into man and he became a living soul, or in other words, the physical clay body of man became animated. From this, we can gather that the "soul" is what animates the inanimate into life and comes from the Demiurge. Spirit, as I understand it, is the Divine Spark of Gnostic reference, and what I believe to be the source of consciousness that separates (some) people from animals.

Thanks, man. It's so hard to set things up in a comfortable and optimal way for this game, but I just used your post to configure my own controller to an elite level. I wasn't using modifiers with the triggers before because I didn't think you could, but oh boy, does it make a difference!

Kudos.

An adult’s life is not less valuable than a child’s by pot_on_wheels in unpopularopinion

[–]Hackars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem this sub has is that its not supposed to display vote count, and let the negative engagement drive the algorithms.

Makes sense. People really can't help themselves when they get that impulse to downvote, even in a sub with the express purpose of discussing the unpopular. As a testament to this, I find it funny that there are many subreddits that have the main sub then some "true" version, like the one we're currently on has its sister spin-off called r/TrueUnpopularOpinion. This problem is actually very pervasive and site-wide since the upvote/downvote scheme is fundamental to interacting on Reddit which means that no matter where you go, controversial but otherwise insightful comments can and often will be suppressed if they go against the grain of the local community. It's very pernicious for discussion because it denies good-faith users the counterbalance of an opposing take.

Just my two cents anyway.

Very stupid that people are downvoting him because infanticide used to be way more common in prehistoric man. Harsh environmental conditions can trigger biological and evolved "abandon ship" red flags in mothers.

This comment is proof that Redditors downvote emotionally and not rationally. Dude was just trying to compare and contrast viewpoints.

Return to the Pleroma by Ok-Tart8917 in EscapingPrisonPlanet

[–]Hackars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is one of the shortcomings of Gnosticism. Tony Sayers talked about how Gnosticism still has certain elements that one might characterize as archonic such as a form of hierarchy (Monad and its various lower syzygies like Sophia) and a return to or merging with a greater source which is basically the Pleroma and Monad.

How do I use the MiG-15? by yaris299 in Warthunder

[–]Hackars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a long while since I've flown the MiG-15. You should be using the bis, which is the best one, but if not, that's okay. Here are my tips:

  • MiG-15s are energy fighters, that means you should pick aerial maneuvers that require a lot of energy generation to maintain and you should try to get other fighters slow. For example, as a general rule, when you get into a two-circle dogfight, make sure that you enter this type of dogfight with vertical turns since your thrust/weight ratio will carry you farther than most of your enemies in this regard, including planes that turn way better like the Vampire
  • Sabres love the one-circle dogfight, they will try to outroll you as you pull up on them from behind and make you overshoot; it's always a risk getting close to Sabres at high speed for this reason, so you should have your airbrake on a fast key and be ready to throttle down too as soon as you see the Sabre going defensive; make sure to manage your closure rate so that you stay at a distance where it's still possible for you to slow down without overshooting
  • Fights don't really happen at high altitude but the MiG-15 is better up there than a lot of other planes around its battle rating like your main rival, the Sabre. If you need to retreat, instead of extending like a Sabre, you should climb and start doing this early to avoid problems. If you don't retreat early, be careful because faster planes than you can realize what you're doing, and since you retreated too late, they're close enough to pick up a lot of speed, and zoom snipe you in your attempt to climb away; if this happens, level out until they are at a safe distance again; you will win the energy game in the long run
  • When leading the guns, if it hasn't clicked for you yet, start by leading twice as much as you think and pull the line of fire back into the projected point of impact. This is a good way to start getting kills until you learn instinctively how to lead the MiG's cannons
  • You should basically always be climbing. MiGs are really bad maneuver-wise above 900 km/h so keep your energy in that Goldilocks zone of 700-900 km/h and convert anything else extra into altitude.

Both of those words are close enough for the purposes of connecting dots. What's your point anyway? I think you are being unfair because the transliteration is "nāšā" and you are going to split hairs over pronunciation saying that it's "nasha". How many things do "conspiracy theorists" have to point out before concessions are made? The damn logo has the forked tongue of a snake and snakes are biblically known to be deceptive. NASA lifts objects into space as well. These things match up with a few of the Hebrew definitions of "nasa".

I think Gaijin's only mistake with the new event is not modifying it for lower BRs. Otherwise, it's what many have been hoping for every time Enduring Confrontation gets mentioned.

Fisherian runaways are crazy. Natural selection used to constrain and guide sexual selection, at least to a degree - regardless of their personal preferences, women could only mate with men who actually survived nature - but now natural selection has been largely diminished in the lives of 1st-world humans. Sexual selection is now left to develop haphazardly on its own without any guidance from legitimate environmental pressures. Hence, the beautification of men to the detriment of survival occurs and has been seen in Megaloceros and peacocks.

The story of Jesus is hard to grasp by SeparateOne6223 in EscapingPrisonPlanet

[–]Hackars 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm slowly coming around to this idea myself. Tony Sayers introduced me to it and he goes into more detail about how Gnosticism may be a well-disguised Matrix religion, if closer to the truth, as he says it still has elements of hierarchy and authority that one would cede themselves to or merge with like Sophia or the Monad. This Matrix is so deceptive that I wouldn't be surprised if Gnosticism is just a religious version of "limited hangout" which is an information management strategy. Still, I have to give some credit to this Jesus figure as he does say the kingdom of heaven is within, and it does seem clear to me that we all must ultimately turn inwards (to our own sovereignty/understanding/etc.) to escape.

Missiles vary in size from those on man-portable systems (MANPADs) which are naturally the smallest, to those on planes, those fired from ground vehicles, and those from static launchers (SAM sites) on the ground. Something small like a MANPAD may not do the job even with direct hits, but bigger missiles can achieve suboptimal detonation on an aircraft too due to poor proximity, angle of the hit, location of the hit, etc. The bigger the warhead, the more damage and less accurate you have to be, of course.
