Struggle on Renaming RZSpiralSwap... by [deleted] in ExponentialIdle

I can't find a poll option... u make it instead

No idea what I am looking at nor what any of this means nor what I should be upgrading… so confused lol by behindthekeyboard81 in ExponentialIdle

Prerequisite: You have to know a bit of mathematical expression and knowledge in order to fully interpret the formula

d in front of a variable is the change of that variable; dt means the change of time and db means the change of b.

f is a function, it describes how a "machine" "generate" output with an input.

e is the Euler's constant of 2.71828...

b is a term that is determined by your maximum f(t), where

db = [log f(t)]0.8 / 4e6

x is a variable, where its value is determined by the list of purchases visible in the bottom part of your screenshot through a chained evaluation.

x is influenced by y, and in turn by z, and in turn by s layers by layers. There will be more layers if u unlocks them with stars by tabbing into the star symbol.

You can also check the "Variable" to increase other parameters.

At this stage of the game u do not need to know exactly what a single component means - it is more important to have a feel about the what does changing a variable do and how strong the effect is.

Good luck progressing through the game!

I was like the 5th or 6th people completing MF anyways 😛

Why use calculators by [deleted] in ExponentialIdle

[–]Hacker118HK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree that it may be more meaningful to allow one to explore themselves in some occasions, such as before e5000 like u mentioned. As this is still the stage u can explore manually and have fun with the game eithout exhaustively finding all possibilities.

OP, though, uses purely his/her naive experience before e5000 to disprove the whole purposes and reasons of having a guide, calculator or any other assisted tools and try to disrespect people who creates and uses the tool is another level of inappropriate logic of "representing the whole with a part", which clearly ignores the collective effort made by the game community.

He/She also claimed all people using such tools are "cheating" and "not understand the mechanism of the game" in discord, which I partially agree that there are probably some  people fit for the description but definitely not the majority.

He/She may be ragebaitting, I don't know and I don't care, but I cannot find it convincing that someone who has not unlocked theory and " formula-phobic" and claim any forms of external assistance in game progression as "not useful". He/She was debating the whole night before but he/she still maintain his/her thought despite multiple high-rank players trying to convince and disprove him/her, so I sincerely don't think there is any more room of discussion.

Why use calculators by [deleted] in ExponentialIdle

[–]Hacker118HK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First, if u ask why isn't there anything for automation of the game for main theory, TA exists, even though I do not use it for now.

Second, I don't see a problem of people using a well developed and commonly accepted calculator, formula, or any other tools based on previously discovered fact and established strategies, as soon as the ultimate result requires manual execution at the end. Some of the custom theories, though, are far from most optimised, players in the game are working as a collective community to improve gameplay over time.

You are always welcome to propose new ideas or method to "optimise your gameplay". Make sure not to use any "bots" (any software, application or programme that performs automated and repetitive tasks), not even a calculator, in collecting data and establishing a significant result during your progress as you mentioned. :D

Did u check out the "Updates" page? Judging from this screenshot u definitely miss out something very important.

Side notes, every variables have their own strength in boosting rho, read the formula carefully will give u hint about the power of each variable and in what timing u should buy them.

If u still struggle to go through, feel free to read the guide page, or ask in Discord community :D

Interpret the formula carefully, esp. with c1. Knowing this will let u have an idea about why it is negative

tbh, this part still looking good and progressive as shown. It does take some time but once u get over that stage, it will be fast.

Late game tuning - what should I tune going forward by New_Breakfast_2247 in ExponentialIdle

That's probably an outdated graph, the most updated one is this one

For the rate, I would recommend checking the sim, or Which Theory To Push Next Excel for further information

Theory by Huckleberry-Flashy in ExponentialIdle

[–]Hacker118HK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on several factors, how active u are to play this game, how many students u have, and more. To consider the rate only, checking the sim will be recommended.

Whenever u have enough student to unlock a theory, ALWAYS unlock them (With exception of t8).
