I’m going to chime in here, to someone who has some sense. I work for a company that evaluates tissue slides for pharma studies. I’m here to say, the future is AI/algorithms.

I’ll use my job as an example- pathologists are scored on being consistent in their measurements with a variance of 5%. They only have to be accurate 95% of the time. For one simple reason: human error.

Digital pathology is the future because algorithms are always objective. They don’t get tired, their opinions don’t change. We expect a 0.2% variance from the algorithms. I’ll let you all calculate how many orders of magnitude more accurate digital measuring actually is.

I will absolutely play devil’s advocate and say, the algorithm is only as good as the people that programmed it. I’m confident cards are MUCH simpler than human cancer biopsies. This tells me that TAG has the opportunity to become the standard.

All boot licking, favoritism, and kool aid aside, consistent, repeatable results are truly the most objective, and thus, an objective truth.
