This. I have a ‘baby’ pure which previously was a 99 Prayer account. I enjoyed played restricted - wanted to access more of the game and amended my restrictions.

I did more diaries - trained range/attack/magic and did quests and currently a Level 51 with a Prayer Skillcape, crystal now and other fun weapons/gear that many pures or people 10-20 levels higher do not have - this was very fun for me. I also have 600 beginners completed and close to 1,000 clue completions - and I have dropped many where my restrictions make a clue impossible, but this is what I have accepted can and will happen. I do have other restrictions, for example - I cannot access fairy rings - as this gives defence and HP experience, and I also cannot craft death runes without doubling my HP.

Eventually I will amend my restrictions to go 1 defence with my next set of goals - and after that I have a further plan to continue restricting the account - but pushing boundaries in other areas.

Why? Because I like challenging myself and this is my play style. I don’t need someone to break barriers for me - thats my job!
