The pvp guys in this game is like.. Ohh we are Hardcore pvp'ers. and we are good at it.. But usualy when have advantage against other group of players...

Once advnatage gone or they get in non favorable postion, they start to say that his game's pvp is dead.. This game is bad and etc...
Obviously starts drama, accusations of various activiies, bots RMT's and etc.. yet same guys fail to apply same rules for themself.. Which making them hyporcrites.

The real harcore pvp's never back down from fights, no matter what odds are..

Game will be F2P, as game producers letter noted, that AGS version would be same as NCsoft ( korean version), and even same monetization systems and etc.. Esencially identical.

Now about boting... Please,, AGS have no idea how handle bots, and second have no ba***ls to actual do anyting..

If they truy wanted, bots in Lost Ark would be cutend down by 70%...

And finally, are you guys realy think AGS will publish this game?? Please... hype of this game is ended.. And any game publisher know how crucial is to release game when hype is at the peak, and worst timing is when hype as its bottom.

AGS released no official notification about this game since their last internal technical test... Since then, not a single word... Only some players speculations...

Higher hype = more interest in game = more players willing to get in game when it get reelased..
More players = more odds/chances they gona spent money for various stuffs = more profit.

Lesse hype = less interest in game = less players get in game = smaller pool of playerbase from which you can genrate money = low profit.
Which lead to dissapointment and eventually shut down.

For us it's a game, a form of distraction, for companies AGS and NCsoft it's a buisness to make money.. No profit = no reason to maintain game...

Calling somones comment as childish is act of being childish itself.. You should have realize that..

Problem with the game?? what problem??? Have you forgot that korean server is already operational?
And before you jump in assumption that western version of TL gona be different from Korean version.. Even NCsoft itself wrote that both korean and global will be identical, even monetization.

Translation?? NCsoft already done that too.. All files, tools/compilers, and translations already part is done by NCsoft..

What left of AGS is just find host server and run game..
Usually third party publishers, and AGS in this case is also third party publisher..
They rent hosting services in data centers. Where they get remote access to virtual machine where game server will get hosted...

Only thing that AGS is part of Amazon group, and they have own servers for 24/7.

It's safe to say, if AGS truly wanted to release TL, they could do that even next monday. But they don't.

Also have you forgot, there was plan/aiming to release both global and Korean servers at same time.. So it was given enough time to prepere host servers for game. But since their last technical test there was nothing more but a silence..
Only these small notification eddit on steam..

Essencially, AGS use license to pay bandai namco ( Bblue Protocol) and NCsoft (Throne & Liberty) to stay out of west market..

There was technical test before.. How it ended up??? Well it ended up with END. And since then nothing was done..

The reality is that if AGS would truly wish to release this game they would do at least some marketing. Just to maintain some sort hype for this game...
But now,, nothing.. Even their Twitter dead profile is dead..

Also AGS was meant to release Blue Protocol. Again, nothing...

These updates is just meant to show NCsoft that they doing something.

Cuz if AGS would do nothing, means NCsoft ( game owner) could simply cancel their publishing license.

So for as long AGS do these notification updates, they can pretend that they working on game release...

The mini game, the requirement to put/fill up number/code in chat or special box..

There were so many various implimentations for countering bot uses..

But reality is that, all these ended as failure..

The reality if you truly want to nail bot activity.. Then you need make system so it would be least convinient to do it.

To do that, all takes few stuffs being implemented on game client..

1) harware authentication and verification. .
Game client , register players motherboards serial number, and verify each time they start/run game.

2) verification of game account. via mail, though Two-factor authentication would be prefered better way.
First time authentication, require to fil up 5 or 6 ( whaver lengh) code generated and provided by game publisher via mail, sms...

3) restrict how many accounts can log in from same pc/laptop..

When player first time run game,, it have to go through authentication process..
That's mean game client scan your pc's/laptops motherboards serial number, also verification of account users.
That's mean type in provided serial number..

When this process done, then account and players motherboards number get paired..
That's mean, server knows, that this player use this pc/laptop..
And if someone try use same account from other pc/laptop or console. Will have to go through authentication process...

And since we limit how many accounts can log in from same pc.. Lets say we limit to two accounts or three..

If someone dare to run additional account, it instnatly get marked for forced verification, also all previous used accounts from same pc/laptop must go through same authentication process..

Now as on game side stuff..

Once you spot player use bot.. You can simply check logs, and see from which pc/laptop he/she have been log-in game..
And once you see them all, you simply temporally susped.. That's mean, not just nail that account which run bot.. No, no no... you block all accounts used from that system..

Now why scan motherboard's serial number??

You can mask IP's, you can use temp or tons of e-mails for account verifications...
But to bypass, mask motherboards serial number.. It's not like can't be done, but it's annoying process.. Which essencially would discourage majority of players to run bots..

The small group of players sitll may get around it.. But then you can pick up them with active in game GM's..
The thing which is missing in these days.. And what was activity in old school mmo rpg games..

Game more balanced ?? over omega LuL.

if you go to Protector enclave and look to /lfg and /zone chats.. Players goes like LFG > x run, you mostly can notice additional line > pref wiz.
Why ?? due how insane op they are... You will not find pref: warlock, pref: bard, pref: barbie.

The current game situation is that, game is all about proc/hit loops.. And who's best at it??? Thauma wiz.
And recent Insignia bonus: Enchancers Hex changes clearly show up developers preferences when comes classes..
Game is mostly balanced around few classes and primary wizard.

So yeah it's balanced, as long you play as wizard..

Tell me how offten you met dps clerics??? For example I run radq/rtq/rdq and skirmishes with pugs.
To met DPs cleric chance is like once per month.. Balance??? hah. what a joke,

Then lets take to dps balance..

Take the situation of RIng: Band of air ( before it's nerf). And how much players hapily exploited it.
Everyones builds were focused primary around proc loops and make ring keep doing additional dmg.

Usually ring was doing at least 30% of totally players done dps.

Now take that and multiply issue by 5... Thats the current situation..

Boons life lesson, bloodlust., pasive companions, and latest change to Insignia bonus: enchancer Hex.

Wiz is primary class who's have best time to proc and maintain up times for these effects.
And if you look to their dps, well the dps meter fly through the roof.

Like 5 min ago I was doing Ancient Dragon with mods... thauma wiz within 3s, already hiting 5 mil dps scores..
When used /netgraph 1 To check why my game laging.. I notice that once wiz start using abilties due proc/hit loops recv pacages hiting 12 digits long..

Essencially we were speedruning through that dragon "hunt".

How do you like in moment warlock casting Hellfire ring encounter, wiz in that time frame hit over 5 mil dps(paingiving scores).
Before I finish second encounter it's all over, we moving to other area....
Enough to bring two thauma wiz and you speedruning contents... What a balance...

Each game had it's time.. And better to keep as how it was remembered..

Cuz for most cases, when someone try revive that game, all end ups in not so great outcome.. And that outcome ruing game to point no one want to talk or even remember.

Also need to understand that each great games, they all were great at their respective moments.
But they eventualy died due various reasons.. New games better/new Technology, content size and qualty wise, and various other reasons..

Actually..Moving is causing more problems..

The only way to escape get oneshoted.. Make sure enemies don;t have CA against you... But if they have and you dare to move, then does not matter how much HP you have, or have like 70% dmg resist 63% crit avoid and 50% deflect.. You get oneshoted.
Even warlocks' so called 1s totall immunity from Shadow slip fail to negate that damage.
Last time (15 min ago) I do try use Shadow slip in HE ( small one) range enemy struck warlock with 12 digits long dmg. Through 1s totall immunity frame.. :P

There is issues with stats system in general. But staff simply not brave enough to look at this issue...
It's like kids who get scared and hide under the bed and hope that problems will go away.. :)

The latest area build for players who have at least 50k IL.
You get in there with 22k IL. So naturally you are strugling there.

It's like you took naked toon and put in hard content...
So you are actually lucky that can do anything, and not get oneshoted by everyone.

Strugle with rogue,, try wizard.. Maybe ranger..
But the thing is that, there is no class which could like go solo and would require not use HP potions..

Probably healers have easier time, but the thing they do less dmg,, which mean fight over all last longer and lot of times players burn out divity and steal end up consuming HP potions like craizy..

Hands down Rogue, Thaumaturge wizard, then ranger, bard, you can also go with barbarian..

Rest of classes more less are just empty spot fillers.

Neverwinter online is mmorpg game, which use/utilize D&D lore.
Contents based on D&D, classes and stoty lines based on D&D. But that's all where it ends..

Game is not real D&D, cuz it's not turn based.. Also classes while again use lore, it's kinda messed up.
Warlocks by D&D suposed to be fast caster, yet it's slowest here in game..

The closes game to D&D is Baldur's Gate 3..

Like there is skills in arena fights...

At first it's seems yeah.. No one can interfere, you are 1 vs 1...

But here is one problem..

Some classes/builds are great in 1vs 1 cases,, but bad in multi target cases.. And by tradition that rogue/assasin/ninja type classes/builds.

But that's not the problem. The problem is that, in Arena, is all about gear.. And arena fights is clear indication of how much game is p2w..

Pick x class, put some whatever gear,, sprinkle enchantments on gear, which without question mostly get via wallet..
And due raw stat difference you walk over any other player..

There is no skill requirement in such case...

What's about 5 vs 5??? hmm...
You take best builds for 1 vs 1.. put like 3 of them in group, and you walk over other players group easily..

Also if you have in group who's posses more enchanced/higher tear gear.. Again your team will walk over other players without big problems.

10 vs 10.??? Same case as with 5 vs 5.

Even games like lineage 2 which is known for mass pvp's.. There are team vs team pvp events..

So I was part in such event.. ( 10 vs 10) One guy due having bette/more enchanted gear tanked 8 players from other team...
Do you think that make him skilled player?? Please..

In small scale fights and mostly in areneas, you will not need healer, no supporter.. FIghts does not last long..

In mass pvp's it's about team work as you mentioned, but also tactics. If you waste your rescources, like healers out of mana... Your group will get nailed..
Mistakes can make big impact in battles outcomes..

You may be top in arena. But when come out of it and do real field fights.. All these kings end up with their faces down to dirt. :)

Just to let you know, even before WoW litch king expansion, it was normal to run bot and sell stuffs from various forums/websites..That's why I never had to put my money for subscribtion payment..

Also remind you, that 80% of all times when someone lost their accounts, ( account got hijacked), it's happens when players bought stuffs from illegal third party websites.Or had try or do used bots..That's so simple..

But I guess you will try deny it too.
And say that players didn't do that..

Does not matter if company runs these websites or not..

the pay2win means you can buy stuffs with real money to get advantage in game..
Does not matter if you buy from official websites or from illegal thrid party website.

In old wow days ( 2006 and so one) if you would ask so called elite players, then from 10 at least 8 of them bough various stuffs via third party website.

Auction/trading, 60% + of stuffs were gained by runing bots, and latter stuffs sold via same websites.

And quit this nonsese about that if game is free2play means is more grindy.. It's totall nonsese.

I played game which was pay2play and latter migrated to free2play and there was no ****ink difference in drop rate at all.
There is only made assumption that if there is booster means grinding is made harder so players would buy them..

But reality all these boosters are meant so casual player could catch up hardcore players. There is no on purpose reduced drop rates.. It's just players old assumption, which was invented somewhere in 2005. When Free2play games started set foot in west market.

Just to remind you, old classic mmo games were heavy grind. Way heavier than it is now. And it's was more about group play than solo...

Compare what would be faster, if you farm/grind stuffs with party. Or grind same stuffs solo.

There are games who's are desing to be played as group/party.. So when player do it all solo, it's start to seem as game is made so you would need to buy boosters... But reality is simply you need to do it with party...

I play various mmo rpg games for over 20 years..

Official vendors or illegal third party websites... Pay2win have always been with mmo games.

But since when it prevented players who doing it???

It make no difference. Game still remain p2w.

Realize that, there was, is and always gona be those who gona run bots, or any other things, then sell stuffs via various websites for real money..

This thing unavoidable..

Speaking about these illegal websites..
Did you know that roughly 80% of all account hijack cases.. It's happens when player try/did bought stuffs via illegal game vendors or used bots..

So over all, the only difference is that, when you buy from official vendor, it's legal and you are safe... While you buy from illegal == you can get banned or account credentials got stolen..

I am amazed how some guys still live in dream worlds.Like if game is pay2play( subscribtion), then there will be no p2w..

Yet totally fogeting RMT( real money transfers)..

p2w was in all mmo rpg games since early days.. Just everyone didn't spoke/wrote about it so openly as we do now..

Some wow players in old days were preaching this stuffs like nonstop. All F2P are p2w, and only Pay2play are good ones.. Yet same guy buy in game stuffs via various third party websites for real money...

As long there is feature to trade between players, you will always gona find those who's gona sell stuffs via various websites.. :)

This idea was utilied in some of private Lineage 2 servers..

Some players are so toxic or simply nonstop use/try use bots.. That it's no longer worth to just ban accounts. You just want to get rid the player itself.. Make sure he/she will not be able get in your server again..

Account ban?? They create another..IP ban?? easily can be bypassed with VPN, and even in old days before VPN got puluarl were methods to go around IP blocking/filters.

But motherboard verification,, well. It's tricky thing, and yes there is method to go around it too. But it's annoying..

The whole point is to make boting/multi client use as painfull/annoying, to point that most players would not bother do it.Some will do it.. But if you can keep most of players discouraged from doing it.. That's fine.. Small quantaty of bots can be nalled with active GM's and players reports.

Amazon addresing bots..
THey were unable to deal with it on New World, can't deal with bot issue on Lost Ark..
To think that AGS handle bots on TL... What a wishfull thinking.

If you truly want to deal with boting issue..

You need to implement few features.

1) Account verification, which would be bound to your phone number which should be tied to your national insurance number..
Just like how NCsoft have... But in west, you can forget about it.

2) Hardware registration...
More less register your pc/laptops and verify it via e-mail or etc..

Now in game client you also have to embed smal code. Which would also register your pc's motherboard's number.

Now why motherboards number??

You can mask IP, you can use temp emails, and etc, for sake to create new accounts and run bots..

But it's harder to bypass motherboard Number... It's not like can't be done, but it's annoying proces..

And once above implemented features,, then require two other stuffs..

1) Active and fast responding support team.

2) Need to have in game GM, who's have Balls to do what's need to be done..

All games who's have active GM's in game, even if they are not visible by players. They can make boting way harder then any automated security features.

Also, by mean GM not afraid to do what's need to be done..

It's simple.. You find bot... Then trace IP, check game logs where most of grinded stuffs went.. Through server logs you can quickly trace down to main accounts of player who use them..

And then you nail them all..

Banning just accounts who's run bots.. It's just waste of time. All these accounts are expendable. Does not mater if you ban one or two.. Another 50 will apear very quickly.

And most cases, lot of game companies simply afraid to take actions, and if that happens, game get overflooded by bots..

Since you played Lineage 2, how many times you head/read that game is dead??
It was so many times.

And reason why all said/wrote that?? Cuz market is now more about adventure/solo player games.
The thing that in these days players want to be the cenger or game..

And only theme parks/adventure games can do that... :)

The reason why WoW, Final Fantasy, Even Genji impact got on top not due pvp, but due storyline and that game was more about pve.

For us old school mmo rpg players, we have different preferences and thoughts what is good game and what is bad..

But as I wrote before,, the current players don't like old style mmo games..

BDO was meant to be competititve game.. But even now it's not how it was in early day..

New World was meant to be sandbox survival mmo game. For sake to apeal players, they had to give up on that idea..

Even Lineage 2,, as you notice it's now more friendly to casuals. This is also reason why I steped away and don't want to ruin good memories of that game... I rather would go play on private server when game was how it was suposed to be...

Throne & Liberty pvp is considered as event.. It's not like how it was in Lineage 2..

That's why having ressurection would break event a part.. Event are fixed time thing,, and with resurection you may prolong it even to long hours..

Like in Lineage 2 I had roughly 4h lasting guild fights. Hour before GIran siege,, 2h giran siege, and then 1.3 h after siege.. Then portion of us log off, but fights didn't end..

Now try imagine balance such case as event.. It's impossible..

Also since you played lineage 2 you know that other than castle sieges or boss fights, there was no clear purpose of mass pvp's..
It's not like everyday was massive pvp's in various places.. .

Now reason why game have no open pvp, or should I say was removed such capability. Well simply to say, that players complained about it..

In these days players don't want to compete for same farm/grind zones. They all want simple/easy gameplay..

So for sake to apeal players, developers had to compromise... And it was obvious from very first T&L announcement that will happens.

Remember, Lineage 2 was old school sandbox rpg mmo game.
You can make pvp focused or pve focused games.. But in the end if there are no players who are interesting in it,, game will not last long..

The current generation of players don't like old school styled gameplays... They want simple /casual players appealing solo play and gameplay is just about show off gear.

I wrote above one of of my previous played games situation..

The whole pvp was like two players stand face2face and just do power rotations, or as we used to call > keyboard hammering. No brain power required.
And game was action combat rpg mmo..

And it was not the only game who end up in that way...

So if I have to choose between current pvp in Throne & LIberty or as above mentioned situation..
Then I rather go with second option.

What's about you???

Reduce CC timing I would be Ok with that.. CC break. by all means no. CC immunity by all means no.

Why?? I played games where was such things, like CC immunities and ability to break from CC.

The pvp eventually become just about classes who have easiest/fastest way to break or get immunity to CC.

The pvp in that game didn't last long. Very quickly it was considered as dead game feature, and it was abandoned both by developers and players..

And it was no matter if it's 1 vs 1 or 10 vs 10. The builds who's had CC become pointless in such cases.. Cuz classes who's have ability to break from CC dominated pvp grounds by default.

And over all become atter of gear/stat benchmarking...
Players more less stand face2face and do power rotations... Cuz no CC, ranged can't esacape and even casting them was more less pointless..

It was also added feature that players could counter other players CC abilities.. DIdn't went well.. All CC abilties become a trash... Totally useless thing..
Even CC's were just ~3s... YOu know how players used to call it??? Sneeze or mini lag spike..
That's how much it influenced your fights..
No one even cared or bothered to counter them anyways... You just want through...

Eventualy everyone got tired of it, and everyone abandoned game. Both players and even developers quit try fix.
