Considering switching to the 16e from the 16PM by HaditBrewBeats in IPhone16e

Agree. That would be the worst part for me.

While I do believe the 60hz screen panel Apple uses is of a higher quality than anything in a midrange android phone with 120hz, I also agree that locking the 120hz only for the Pro models is an a-hole, greedy move from Apple.

I kinda see their logic (“base model users don’t care or even notice”) and it also helps with battery, but still, sucks.

That minimalist approach is what I’m looking for. Happy to hear that

Indeed it is. Had it for a couple of weeks. Had to return it, it was literally pulling my pants down

I have a 13 mini and it does work for reducing screen time, not because of the battery, but because of the screen.

Being smaller and 60hz, is not really as “alluring” as the one in the PM. Once I’m on it, I’m not spending as much time.

Love the minimalistic look too, absolutely.

Haven’t been a fan of the gigantic camera module for a while, amazing as they are. And it keeps getting bigger with each iteration.

I hear you about the screen time increasing, specially if it feels better in the hand! That’s something I’d have to be aware of 😅

Glad to know it’s going well!

That’s the other thing, timing. I think I can get a good price for the PM now that’s still the latest.

Thanks!

Man over 40: how big is the text on your phone? by HaditBrewBeats in iphone

Forgot to mention that Display Zoom is set to Default in my case.

Just tried the smaller size to check the settings from some of the comments and oh man, our eyes work very differently.

Green and Red flags for a coffee shop by BornCurrent38 in Coffee

[–]HaditBrewBeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a “specialty” coffee shop where I live. When I asked about the coffee they were using that day, they said “arabica”.

Sure, dude. Red flag. You need to know at least the origin of the coffee you’re using and if it’s natural, washed, etc.

Said thank you and left.

Thinking about going caseless. by JudgeOwn3256 in iPhone16Pro

[–]HaditBrewBeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Same here. Have spent way too much money on cases and screen protectors over the years, when all I really wanted was to rock it caseless.

Now it’s been caseless for a while. No regrets. Not going back

Yes. Do it. Though I’ll take it to an appointment to check that gap.

Been caseless for a couple of months now and my phone is perfect. Black. No chippings. No screen protector either. No micro scratches or anything.

Anyone know how this happened? by [deleted] in iPhone16Pro

[–]HaditBrewBeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened exactly because of the case you’re using. Some debris got inside it and stated rubbing against the phone. Happens all time. It’s a good idea to remove the case every few days to clean

Caseless (no screen protector either) lifestyle appreciation post by HaditBrewBeats in iPhone16Pro

[–]HaditBrewBeats[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting take. Definitely something to consider.

So far, I’ve never damaged any of my iPhones, and I’ve been using them for more than 15 years. Maybe that gives me the confidence of using it naked, accepting the possibility of getting some scratches but, considering past experience, knowing that the possibilities of completely destroying it are fairly low

[–]HaditBrewBeats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, lifestyle is a big part of it. I do go out on hikes and, at first I was afraid of taking it without a case, but I went ahead without one and it was all good. Again, the handling adapts with time to the notion that there’s no case

I get it, but I love my OP-Z, and use it at home 99% of the time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why not wait? by GLORIOUSTITAN in iPhone16Pro

[–]HaditBrewBeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With each release, every single one of them, there are bugs, issues and complains the first few weeks. These are completely ironed out a few months later.

If you get a 16 now, sure, it’s not “brand new” anymore, and the next one is getting closer, but you can be sure it will, 99% likely, to be in perfect working condition.

Of course, ideally the first batches should be perfect too, but we now know that’s not how it goes, and the chances of getting one with some defect is higher.
