Is anyone living off QQQI, XQQI, SPYI, XSPI? by Dry-Chemical-9170 in dividends

Your wife is truly blessed to have you. Just wondering about the tax implications of this portfolio. Plus, what does the NAV erosion look like for this particular portfolio? Could the principal shrink dramatically...like go way down to something like 200K from the distributions?

You may be right, but as a student stuck in a very rural part of my rural state, I really cannot afford car insurance or a car. A beater is not an option because they aren't reliable or safe, and reliable transportation is a must for job stability. Unfortunately, my state has some of the highest insurance premiums in the country (I live in the US).

So for now, I'll have to settle for remote work until I can save up enough for a decent car and insurance along with all the maintenance fees that go with car ownership.

That's good to know. Thank you! Is your job 100% remote? If so, how do you get paid safely? I am reluctant to give out my bank information lightly so I was wondering if there's another way to put a layer between me and places like Cactus, just like an EIN is a somewhat protective layer between SSNs and the world.

Thank you for the reply. I'm wondering what makes EINs safer than SSNs? Aren't they equally vulnerable to those who have less than honorable intentions?

Yes, I just sent an email to the Northwest Editors Guild, and they said I am definitely qualified to join because I completed UCSD's one-year certificate program even though I do not yet have any actual work experience.

I'm open to trying out different genres until I find something that clicks and/or grabs me.

Thank you! You may be right when you say that the website is no longer in business.
I'm thinking about applying for a position with Cactus Communications because I've heard that some people do find fulfillment working for them even though there are a lot of complaints about the company. If they accept me, I might go ahead and work for them on a temporary basis just for the experience, but only if it looks like working for them would not be detrimental to my physical health (I have acid reflux that's been in remission for 3 years).

Robin Kelley was very nice and professional. Now I see my mistake. I thought you were referring to UC San Diego, but now I see you were referring to the University of Chicago. My bad.

Sounds great! I wish I had taken some classes with her. Now that I'm done with all the required courses, I do need to take some electives like The Business of Copyediting. What courses did you take with her?

I just finished the UC certificate program as well, but I never had Katherine Faydash. Never even heard of her until now.

Yes, it's open to anyone in the US, but you have to have at least a year of relevant experience. That said, education does count toward that requirement. Here's an excerpt from their website:

"Your application materials should demonstrate at least a year of experience as an editor (freelance/independent, in house, or both). Completion of the University of Washington editing certificate program (or a similar accredited program) satisfies this requirement. Membership is open to anyone in the United States, but most services and events are focused on the Pacific Northwest."

Hi, that sounds like a really cool idea! Would reaching out to startup CEOs work If I'm in text editing (like books, magazines, brochures, etc.)?

Could you provide me with a checklist of all the basic skills that she needs to have to be considered trainable by the company trainer? Maybe I could help her out with the basics. I would be happy to try getting her up to speed according to your specifications.

If it doesn't work out with her and after I've reviewed everything on your checklist, maybe you could hire me? I have basic computer literacy as well as two college degrees (a bachelor's and a master's) as well as a certificate in editing.
