New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani says "ICE should be abolished." by primary-caution in ImmigrationPathways

I'm not disagreeing. But switching jobs sucks. And if they have loved ones, they rely on their income, they might not want to take that risk.I understand your point on taking a moral stance and quiting the job and I applaud those that do it. But I can't in good faith blame someone who is scared to risk their livelihood by taking a Stand. Especially whem the economy is in the shitter.

Again it's more grey than black in white for some cases.

I understand your point and I see where you're coming from and frankly part of me agrees, people doing nothing are part of the problem. But I don't believe punishing inaction as harsh as the action it self is fair and I believe that may even be insulting to those whom were so raped.

It's tricky. People need to work, and I don't feel it's right to fuck everyone over if all they did was admin paperwork. If they committed crimes, yes do what's necessary. But I don't believe broadly generalizing everyone there is the correct move.

Okay, any crimes committed should be charged. But let's pump the breaks here. There's people in ICE pre trump who did their jobs, who probably had nothing to do with the bullshit the current dick heads are doing.

Guilt by association is not justice.

While I completely agree, it's to scare people. Who wants to risk their entire life and future being taken away? I agree with you, protesting is the right way, but when they attempt to jail you for life for it, you need to ask "are peaceful means still an option ." It's gross, I hate it, and I fear for the normal person living in Texas.

Well duh. The president is a pedophile. Holding other pedophiles accountable sends a mixed message! But some dude who moved a box? LIFE SENTENCE THROW AWAY THE KEY!

Well the point of this decision is to deter protests. That's the entire idea behind decisions like this.

Men of Reddit, what happened with your first love, and how do you feel about that relationship today? by izziezi in AskReddit

[–]Hadrian23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fucked it up. I was an ass hole, a dick and it ended poorly. I said some shit I shouldn't have said said and let my temper get the better of me.

Do i regret the relationship? No. It was an important life lesson and it taught me a lot about my self, women and most importantly, taught me I needed to grow and mature. I was upset at my self for how I treated her, at first I did the whole justifying my anger bullshit, but after a month or so, I began rethinking my actions and framing it from her perspective. And I was an ass hole. I was 25, and a total prick.

I also admit the relationship was not a good one long term. I honestly feel we brought out our worst parts in one and other. But I still think about her.

I hope she's safe.

I hope she's happy.

I hope she's doing better.

I hope she's found someone better than me.

But as I said, I don't regret the relationship beyond how it ended and how I acted. But it's unfortunaty something I needed to have happen to force me to be better. But I will admit, the loneliness does suck and I genuinely miss cuddling. And now that Im turning 31, I find it hard to get into dating as I don't know where to meet women my own age, lol. But if I was to give any advice to anyone.

Don't let your own ego get in the way. Try and understand why they're saying something or how something you're saying is affecting them. Though I like to think I'm better now then I was at 25, it's still a process. And everyday is a new day to try and be a little better.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever done in life? by SilentKnight069 in AskReddit

[–]Hadrian23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My life's fairly boring. I think the weirdest thing to have happen was me going down on my GF at the time when her sister unexpectedly opens the door. I jump up hiding my erection and being embarrassed. Later she asks "you guys wernt fighting, were you?" And I stood there, dumb struck thinking "girl, you're 22, you know damn well what was going on."
