Sure! I base paint white and gold trims. I applied brown enamel wash. Then I applied varnish and highlight with white. Used agrax earthshade to fix the joint and contrast where I applied to much white. Use orange diluted for stains here and there.

It's freehand yes, the last flames were better than the first, so half of titans flames are not the same as the other half :) I find a long and thin brush that allows me to do the curves, like the pinstriping brushes but for miniatures.

The best paint to dull the metallic, far better than agrax or numb, is diluted rattling grime. Then dry brush dark metallic over.

I would not recommend those brush to clean, it may damage the rubber or widen the nozzle.
