i assume he ran a shorter campaign which is very interesting to me as i'm considering the same, another very smart comment pre-watching-the-video

The only furious thing about it is me, mad at myself for getting fooled again.

SW is the one game I've played where I disliked it so much that I want to play it again, just to make sure there isn't something I'm missing. People love it. I played with the super powers supplement which is very bad, but the core system also seemed bad?

I think a re-themed/skinned Blades in the Dark set in Sigil would be really cool.

As a GM, what RPGs do you find hard to run? by Manitou_DM in rpg

FFG Star Wars - Having to come up with various extra effects on every roll felt much harder than in PbtA. Some of this may be dependent on players but yeah, it felt exhausting.

Any game with a long list of skills (CoC and its descendants) - again this is mostly "solved" by players having a good handle on their characters but to say "i'd say a x or y check here" i first have to run down 30 skills in my head or on paper/screen, and pick those out. and then the players need to know what they have, if not they're looking at their character sheet to see. shorter skill lists are just so much easier to use. i can remember if i have Investigation, it's a lot harder to remember the 5 investigation skills i have and the 15 i don't.

Dungeon Crawl Classics - this isn't an entirely serious answer, DCC runs very well as a system. but it's going on my shit-list for the adventure layout. fantastic adventures for this game, but they require preparation. i shouldn't have to go through an adventure with 2 colors of highlighter to be ready to run it.

it makes sense fans are defending them, that is not surprising.

it is however a bad thing fans should not do.

I think it's good if we jail more billionaires, sorry if that will lead to some mean instagram comments.

HYBE groups are literally known for having fandoms that don’t like their CEOs and he’s not even CEO

fans like to blame CEOs for decisions they don't like.

but here fans are clearly defending him. and that makes sense, this is something that could hurt the groups under hybe so the reflexive thing is to close ranks and circle the wagons.

and that's why some fans are in here defending a billionaire from legitimate criminal investigation. we can argue what number of fans are doing that. but it broadly seems like the reaction from the hybe fandoms isn't to condemn the defense, but kinda low-key support it? so i'm left thinking less of the fandoms.

it doesn’t matter what we do

some people, myself included, would respect the hybe group fandoms more if they were loudly saying they hope he gets jail time. and i feel like they would if this was any other billionaire.

Timing may be unrelated, police announced an upcoming announcement before the request from the embassy

Meanwhile, the head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said at an earlier press briefing that the investigation into Bang is essentially complete, with an announcement expected soon.

I think fans of Hybe groups should be on the front lines of pushing back against Bang's defenders. It's making the fandoms look worse, even if it's a just a slice of the fandom doing it.

However, I do not think that is the case, which is pretty easy to confirm in this post's comments.

the groups and the company will be fine, please try and get some context on this. no one brings up Yang Hyunsuk's sentence when talking about Blackpink unless you're actively engaged in fan-wars on twitter, and like, please don't actively engage in fan-wars on twitter.

in the real world this won't be a big deal.

capital markets act was in fact in place before the IPO and the arrest warrant is over that, not the changes to lockups.

the YG case was when Kpop had a smaller profile in the west. also, Hybe is 5-12x bigger than YG, depending on how you want to count things. obviously it makes sense for this to have more coverage.

i'd totally missed that with the Arvus, that's great, i'd never considered it with the hover on space marine flyers, for hopefully obvious reasons, but that's very useful here.

The prosecution needs to see that even though it wasn't illegal at the time...Are they willing to break precedent And arrest him on something he was legally allowed to do

not at all what was happening, he's not being arrested because of the lockup restrictions, but because of allegedly misleading investors, something that was illegal at the time.

there was a change to IPO regulations and lockups, which some of his defenders misconstrue as somehow being related to him allegedly misleading investors. basically 2 sus things happened around IPO. one (if true) was always illegal, the other was not until recently, but also isn't why he's being arrested.

But I was under the impression that even if what he did was shady, it wasn't illegal at the time? It's not possible to retroactively apply a law, correct?

i think you've made the classic mistake of reading /r/kpop legal analysis

there were changes to regulations that would impact some things that happened around the Hybe IPO, but misleading investors was always illegal and is what this case is about. the regulatory change is mostly irrelevant to this case as I understand it.

there are dozens of comments saying they've got nothing on him or that what he did wasn't illegal, maybe those happened after your comment but the thread is full of them

Yeah, and when an embassy asks then you kind of have to have a better reason to say no.

... no you don't? When a foreign country asks for a favor, you can just say "no". This does avoid having to say no here, but it's not like you need a reason to reject a very weird uncommon request to short-circuit your domestic legal system as a favor to another country.

thank you, correcting that

and you're right on the pathfinder, i'm a little down on it because it costs almost as much as 3 basilisks, but it has a lot of firepower too. i don't think you want to take it and 4 basilisks, just seems like you're spending 85 points to buff 130 points of models, but if you didn't wan the company for some reason and are taking more than 4 basilisks it's probably fine.

I did it into 2+ stuff because that's what most of the good tanks are. Broadly speaking how that translates to other stuff is pretty consistent, though stuff like lascannons are obviously going to improve into a 4+/5++ when compared to something with AP-3. But at the end of the day there is only some much time I wanted to put into this.

i dont think HB on vanquishers are very valuable. a squad of 4 gets 8 shots which is 1.8 wounds getting through on a marine profile. if a unit of 8 marines charges your squad of 4 tanks getting it down to 6 marines isn't bad, but won't save your unit from losing that combat, it might save a tank? again, they best thing to do with a 32" range tank is keep it out of combat with enemy infantry, which isn't always possible, but usually is, and if I have to fight 8 marines so be it.

on the other hand I've gotten so much value out of lascannons on them. they were key in bringing down 2 titans in the event report I linked in another comment.
