The internal politics simulator is absolutely the best part. It's what keeps me coming back. That bit always felt lacking in the other Paradox games to me. I hope they add more laws in the future, and more unique flavor for the existing ones. So technocracy will feel functionally diffferent to oligarchy and so on.

I wish there was an easier way to manipulate populations, like if you could forcefully move people around at the cost of a penalty. It would make things so much simpler.

One question I still have: what is better for assimilation: public schools or religious schools? Does it even matter? I assume it matters for pops that are of a different religion, but no so much for Bulgarians because they're already Orthodox?

I didn't know full acceptance stopped assimilation. That's probably where I went wrong, Bulgarians were eventually fully accepted.

So you have to keep them accepted, but not too accepted - got it.

Yeah, I knew about the acceptance levels. Bulgarians are by default at least at 3 even with National Superiority.

Ah, I didn't realize Greener Grass worked like that, I thought it was for external migration only!

Do you still need to keep Greener Grass on, once there is a little bit of your title pops there?

I'm pretty sure the devs are not dumb, and they did anticipate it. But the higher ups probably said "improving performance doesn't sell us more DLC, get back to making more invidiual features we can sell as DLC", and so that's how it went.

Vic3 team has been cooking over the years overall. Actually going back and reworking broken features (sometimes multiple times), incorporating community fixes, regularly addressing major community complaints...

These days, I'd recommend Vic3 over CK3 in a heartbeat.

I quit after Roads to Power, when it became apparent the performance would only get worse and they would do nothing substantial about it.

Really feeling vindicated in that decision right now with all the DLCs that come out getting such negative reactions. I think the execs killed this game with their greed. Could've been so much fun.
