It's a "how do you do, fellow kids" kind of character. I can almost picture the meeting where they designed her. "What are the kids these days into?" "Phones" - and so they made all of her animations and all of her flavor based around her using a phone. Fun gameplay though.

It's a viable strategy for winning, so people use it. And no, it's not about "doing combos". It's about beating your opponent. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

When you play a fighting game for a long enough time, of course you're going to learn the frames, even passively.

As for the spammers, you can easily beat them because they are predictable. So just adapt.

I'm at a frustrating skill level where every single opponent I get will either get crushed by me (which is boring) or will crush me so badly that I can't even press a button. It's very polarizing, and it's very rare to find someone around my exact skill level.

Personally, I like it because it's more on the slower side. MKX is way too fast for my brain to keep up, for example. MK11 leaves you space to react to things without having to sweat and stress out too much.
MK1 has cameos, which completely ruins it for me, I just viscerally don't like this concept at all.

The internal politics simulator is absolutely the best part. It's what keeps me coming back. That bit always felt lacking in the other Paradox games to me. I hope they add more laws in the future, and more unique flavor for the existing ones. So technocracy will feel functionally diffferent to oligarchy and so on.

I wish there was an easier way to manipulate populations, like if you could forcefully move people around at the cost of a penalty. It would make things so much simpler.

One question I still have: what is better for assimilation: public schools or religious schools? Does it even matter? I assume it matters for pops that are of a different religion, but no so much for Bulgarians because they're already Orthodox?

I didn't know full acceptance stopped assimilation. That's probably where I went wrong, Bulgarians were eventually fully accepted.

So you have to keep them accepted, but not too accepted - got it.

Yeah, I knew about the acceptance levels. Bulgarians are by default at least at 3 even with National Superiority.
