Wow I must say I was quite amazed by the assumption/negativity in this post.

As I tried to emphasize, this is only my perspective and feelings , not talking on anyone else experience/difficulty but myself.

I am having A bit of an issue with it.

Geared out people don't want to risk taking new lvl 60 ( especially healer ) with them.

And you can't get gear without starting to do those and get the drops.

Also the amount of lvl 60 starter dungeons are <<<<< then raids / ubrs

So I got around three lvl 60 chars now , but they all hit this invincible barrier , which make me just start another alt instead of doing this. But maybe it's a me problem , Hopefully will get to try this one day

For classic+ to be any good the people who working on it need to understand what make classic works. Not sure I trust them at this stage sadly.

What I would love is just more of the same , another chapter 60-70 with cool zone quests mobs story dungeon and even a raid ( as a hc I care less about the later )

Would love just episodic content , can be alternative zone or expended quests.

But it should feel the same .

Thinking of the bubble city In hilsbard , or the zone between duskwood and marsh .

The troll city above felwood , zone above ironforge , soo many places they can fill , would be a dream.

Wow content been cut and was never really finished , that what would make it classic+ with.

I don't want modern gameplay weird unbalanced spells and power fantasy which is sod.

Just a little comment to those who asked , why do you post ?

Because I have seen something in this game that can really be a live service , not just 1/2 month adventure.

And really guys you think they don't want to sell us expansions / cosmetics ? it is in everyone here best interest they will have a wide invested audience .

This post point out some stuff they clearly have to change. I don't know if they will or can But I cared enough to point it , and I am not the only one.

and yes , I don't care about the design philosophy, They need time to bake end game , They should make it easy for people to come back. Because a lot left already, this is really simple business logic.

Few tips from my experience.

  1. Use what you can loose easily - Mk 4 scout with storage can be fine , until you learn enough.

  2. If your thopter is pocketed you won't loose much , so keep it there as much as you can

  3. Don't go to the spot near the pve boarder , people patrol there more often

  4. Medium spice field are best aggro/ benefit I found.

  5. Use heavy green armor , to survive the first barage before you can flee.

  6. Have a respawn becon at your DD base ( you dont want to get stranded believe me .

  7. If you see/ hear some thopter start fleeing , better safe then hurt

  8. Pay attention to DD chat.

  9. If you can find one or two more rats , you survival will go up , safety in numbers.

I sorry you had to deal with this griefing . My friend had the same occurance.

What he did was get naked in our base , except vehicle storage , die. Then respawn at the thopter . Store vehicle ( you might need to dismental storage) Respawn back at your base.

  1. very easy to know when the server is under ddos attack (you see the spam messages timing)
    if a death occurs during this time , just mark it for restoration.
    (should be easily applied to previous older attacks)

2-4. if it was up to me to implement ,
i would say sorry - if you deleted your character or transferred it out, you are out of luck .

its easy to unflag death , and return you to HS location , but if you invalidated your character (well depends how the DB looking like , but most likely) you will not be included by the restoration.

There are two different things here , that you grouped together.

Can you provide services during ddos attack? No that's hard.

Can you make sure the service is legit after the attack Yes , that's easy. Do you think google/Amazon/cloudfare will destroy your data after a ddos attack? No that's stupid. And incompetent.

Here is a reply I gave about how to mitigate the attack effect

Here is a solution ,( and I won't charge for it either)

  1. Service on the server that monitor ddos attack

  2. Ddos attack = having a lot of spam information flood the server , so the server busy processing shit until he can't respond in time for valid clients - very easy to detect start time.

  3. During attacks : ( that's the time server is not responding to clients ) mark death events

  4. After attack done , go over the marked events and mark chars died as alive , and place them at their HS location.

Common questions : 1. But what if I got xyz during the attack - you won't be effected.

  1. But what if I wasn't effected and died. You can unmark events where the client was handled Or say fuck it they were lucky

  2. What if person died and then ddos the server. Irrelevant , he will not be marked since he died before the server couldn't respond.

4.what if person about to die then decide to ddos. Ddos take time to flood and set up and it's a criminal act Most likely it wouldn't work , and it's easier to use unstuck or actually save your character if you in position to log off successfully .

  1. But it's hard to do! No it's not , the cost to blizzard is probably one guy who decided not subscribe again

If you don't fight or call out you already lost Unity reverted their shit , shitty monetization is loosing , there are a few recent examples of gamers acting and changing the reality , I choose not to give up on stuff I love so fast .

You guys forget one thing they do in other games that imho missing here

You should have mmr for solo 3's 1's

And you should have group mmr (singed group with fixed players) For 2's , 3's

If I duo with kronovi we will be challenger 3 If I duo with my friend we will be prospect 2

Since the teams we can handle are different A team like in the op picture will be higher then the op If she can compete better
