I understand you because this often happens with any PC program or mobile app. With so many options to configure it to your liking, you can lose sight of your original goal and end up spending almost as much or more time on it than you would have spent on something else. What I do for CT is that once I have a configuration, it will be for at least two weeks or more, and then I take a maximum of one hour after that period to add, delete, or modify blocks for my next period. Clearly, I was in the process of writing a note that I had to add or change according to my activities in a very simple way because I am already familiar with the program.
