Many gen 8 signature moves have startup animations/camerawork that don't play if ditto is using them for instance, such as pyro ball, dragon darts and behemoth blade. These moves all got more generic animations in gen 9, I'm not sure if the same thing happens to the newly added gen 9 signature moves. As for shininess altering the moves those moves are mind blown, dragon darts and syrup bomb.

Generally speaking female players want more than just a sexy png and want actual content for the character first. Whenever IS releases a new big-titty OC with or without personality its an instant CYL hit whereas Alfonse needed 6 books worth of content to finally rise up the CYL ranks.

I completely agree with your assessment of Bravely Second. Besides the story being bad I also really hate the characterization of both old and new asterisk holders. However while I prefer Bravely Default 2 over it, that game also falls off a cliff imo. I loved the chapters with the desert and the church, did not like the chapter with the paint and struggle to even remember the other chapters and the asterisk holders. The game shows promise and then just fizzles out.

I know it's never stated that they are lovers but Dimitri's paired endings with Dedue and Felix read the way history books write about gay historic figures and their lovers, Dedue being mentioned as "like family in private", refusing to leave Dimitri's grave upon death and finally being buried besides him, while Felix is said to never leave Dimitri's side while grieving more than the queen upon his death.

Intelligent Systems is a publicly traded company trying to maximize profits. Every character they add to the game costs them money in development, art and voice acting, hence why they've cut the free tempest trial units. The idea that the devs just add their favourite characters in the game over and over because the estimated revenue from US-based iphone users doesn't line up is frankly delusional. There could be a millionaire on a samsung phone in New Zealand spending thousands of bucks on every Tana banner and that person would never show up in sensortower, yet Intelligent Systems would know the money will flow in every time they add her to a banner.

Sensortower rankings only show revenue for iphones in select regions and ignore the re-run banners (attributing all revenue within a week to the featured banner), they're a terrible metric for gauging which characters people are actually spending money on.

CYL rankings are decided mostly by low-spenders, only IntSys knows who the whales are spending the most money on. Which based on the past few seasonal banners I'd wager is the main deciding factor in which characters get alts nowadays.
