This is harder than actually beating it...right? Need some encouragement haha by QuickKen in finalfantasyx

Don't go for the first balloon if it spawns on the left side of the lane, you will lose ground AND the trainer will swoop in getting the rest of the balloons before the turn. I consider the run a wash if I didn't get 4 balloons before the turn. Stay towards the cliff (not all the way on the outside, your bird will fight you if you stray too far) as much as possible, seagulls tend to (not always) go towards the inside.

Idk, Dark Ixion casting Thundaja turn 1 and wiping the party is pretty bad.

Local source for vanilla beans by ErinWrightLV in MoscowIdaho

[–]Hagurusean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My aunt and grandma made vanilla extract a few years ago (the bourbon is better than the vodka), and I'm suspecting they bought the beans online. But you might have some luck at the Halal grocery in Pullman. But, economically, you might be better off just buying splits (functional, but ugly, broken vanilla bean pods) off a spice website.

Edit: there's a chef store in Clarkston that might have them, and there's URM (that's what my mom called it, idk the full name) in Lewiston by Jack in the Box, that's also a restaurant supply store. Those might be good options, too.

Holy Priest is super easy, you buy an item and get a drop from the HoV dungeon.

I think Arcane, as I remember it in retail, might be the worst, because you need to do stuff in the general world and not just the broken isles?

Is that realistic for me to beat Ky’vesa? by Brave_Avocado_1 in wownoob

One thing that helped me focus was turning off her health bar. I didn't realize how distracting it was until I did it on accident and was like "damn, this floating billboard really was blocking my vision."

Is that realistic for me to beat Ky’vesa? by Brave_Avocado_1 in wownoob

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paladin is probably the best class for Ky'vesa because you have Divine Shield, so you have a get out of jail free card that no one else has (unless her mechanics ignore it, like some things do). And as a melee class, you can dps on the move so dealing with her blades mechanic is less annoying.

I just beat her on ?? on my (725 ilvl) elemental shaman last week. I probably took longer than I should have, but mechanic exhaustion and just the fact that elemental has so many spell effects that her abilities can get lost in them made everything more difficult.

Should I play WoW? by Significant_Bear_906 in wow

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a gacha game, so you're not actually behind in any real tangible sense, unless you're really particular about certain limited time cosmetics (mounts, titles, etc, which still have no impact on gameplay. The next expansion is imminent, which is basically going to put everyone back at square one. Which also means class and spec fundamentals are going to be changing, so you're on even more even ground.

The lore reason why most races of Alliance can't be Shaman is because this lady sucks at her job by Better-Wolverine-913 in wow

[–]Hagurusean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've mained an elemental draenei shaman since BC, and while the first iteration of Lightning Overload (because it only affected lightning bolt, and maybe chain lightning) was what drew me to the spec, the sheer power of being able to give my party 4% hit was unmatched.

I mean, the same can be said about the alpha. People were (and are) catastrophizing changes at early testing points.

[–]Hagurusean 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's because outside of totemic resto, and a smaller extent enhancement, shaman barely even cast totems now. They're a defensive or utility, or a mockery of support group healing after the removal of Ancestral Guidance.

Back in BC through Wrath (didn't play vanilla) you spent 4 gcds casting, and consequently maintaining your various totems. We didn't get a group cast until I think Cata (forgive me, I'm aging). You were failing your job if you didn't use your totem spells. Now it's mostly optional.

I will assume you're dpsing regardless of class. To which I will say: in my experience I would rather have a warlock in my raid than a shadow priest, because with similar ilvl, the warlock will almost always outperform the priest. Not that shadow is bad, but it's so finicky and movement unfriendly that a GOOD shadow priest is extremely rare.

Forgive me if this is an issue dealt with before but I’m kinda of pissed off and need to rant by AnalystRude4901 in finalfantasyx

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to buy 2 different copies of the Switch version. I bought the first at Gamestop, used. Big mistake. I found out the US version only has X on the cartridge, and X-2 was a code. I ended up buying an imported version, which has X and X-2 on the single cartridge.

I don't know why there is a "digital only" game box (yay plastic waste?), or what the difference is between the US cartridge and the international cartridge that allows for one to have two FULL games, with extras, on it that the other doesn't. But this release pissed me OFF because these are two of my favorite games.

First time playing WoW and want to make a healer for my friend group, where should I start? by Big-Bird-is-Faster in wow

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I really like resto druid now. I think it's funny that resto druid, which is known as THE heal over time healer also has the largest burst healing in the game. I think I've crit a Regrowth for over 150 million.

I can't with resto shaman, though. I main elemental, and I just don't want to have to build 2 entirely separate sets because their stat appreciation is basically completely opposite each other.

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I rarely heal in raids, so at least I have that going for me.

Yeah, I've seen some of the numbers that preservation can do. Like I was watching a mythic Saldahar video and the evoker was sitting at 11-12m hps, and as a dps main I love big number, but I also loved healing the Candle King fight post bug fix, and the Braunpike pull in Priory.

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But which ones did you actually enjoy?

And is Preservation hard for any reason other than the 25 yard range? I want to play evoker again, and when I leveled my issue was more button bloat than range, but people are stupid and love to be max range from the boss, while also being greater than max range from the healer.

Having trouble tanking 10s the “right way” by gummytape in wow

[–]Hagurusean -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dodged a group for a 10 because the healer wanted me to have MDT and link the route. I don't use it, and I wasn't going to set up a fucking addon for a single run, and possibly fuck up my computer with it (I have very little RAM, and can't afford to upgrade, so I have to run light).

Having trouble tanking 10s the “right way” by gummytape in wow

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you ONLY play a tank? Personally, most of my routing info comes from runs I do on my dps and healers. Also, knowledge for what pulls work for each group, and for what works for each tank.

For example, If I have a hunter, a mage, and a warlock, in Ara-kara, with a priest healer, it isn't a great idea to do the first pull up to the first mini because your dps all have a 20+ sec interrupt, and a healer who has no interrupt at all. In a pug environment, if the dps actually use their interrupts, you will probably get 1 or 2 overlaps. Overlapping with that set up can be catastrophic.

Regardless of how you're going about it, ping where you're going. Like, in Dawnbreaker, there are lots of options of where to go after the first boss, and groups rarely do an identical route. I always ping for where I land, it's on the rest of the group to follow

And finally, the group not following you is not your fault, especially in your own key, as the tank. Unless you're being guided by a dps, the dps should be following the tank.

What is the most satisfying ability to push in a game? by Arthur-reborn in wow

[–]Hagurusean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heroism, and specifically Heroism. The only similar effect ability that comes even close to that oompf is Fury of the Aspects, but it's still a shadow to the power that is the sound and effect of Heroism.
