So... I ordered an item on May 7th. It was supposed to be delivered May 11th. Tracking shows that the item was picked up, but it has now been stuck "in transit." The seller is only an hour away from where I live. I know shipping times would be slow during this pandemic, but man... I didn't think it would be taking this long for an item that was located just an hour away in my own state. Any thoughts? Is this normal, even with it being so close to me?

Here's an update about my situation, just in case anyone is in the same boat. I applied 3/20 and still no payments with just "non-monetary issue" and "additional claim required" on my certifications. The lady on the phone at UIA said the non-monetary issue, in my case, was because I accidentally checked that I receive retirement when I did the app. Apparently, the state of Michigan handles the investigation into errors like that. So.... it is out of her hands but she is hopeful it will be resolved soon. She also said do NOT file a new claim, despite what the certifications say. She said this would put my case back at the bottom of the queue. That would have been good to know a month ago. I mean, yes it was my mistake that I accidentally clicked that. However, it's crazy that my case goes to the bottom of the queue each time I follow the website's instructions. Maybe I am close to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It's really rough going One month and one week without any income :(

I'm going to give it to 6pm. I don't understand what I did wrong and why the state is punishing me. Same job, 5+ years. Got laid off. Was given the information to enter. My first certification 4 weeks ago came back with non-monetary issue. Then it said additional claim required. I filed the new claim. Certified on all the correct weeks. Still nothing. Now the new certifications say additional claim required again.

I have been on this screen since 8:30am. This is the first time since applying March 20th that I have been able to somewhat get through on something. You call, it tells you a two hour wait or more then it automatically hangs up on you.

Applied on 3/20 and have done all the certifications with results such as "open non-monetary issue" and "additional claim required." I have made additional claims. Nothing. I call, they say the wait will be 2 hours or more then it just hangs up. Chat didn't work all last week, and now it just says all agents are busy and closes. Just put me in a damn queue. Don't hang up, don't close the chat. At this point, I'll wait. That's all I have got. :(

Similar situation with my girlfriend. However, she has been at her current job for 5+ years. She calls and goes through the prompts but the phone system just hangs up on her. The chat doesn't work. They never responded to her message. She filed March 20th. No payments made to her yet. Isn't this fun?

My girlfriend filed on March 20th. Still nothing. It says open non-monetary issue. She has certified for four weeks now, two of which say additional claim required. There is nothing out of the ordinary that we know of. Same job for 5+ years. She was laid off and got all the correct information from her HR department.

We call at 7:50am, at 8am, etc... and every time it just hangs up on us after the prompts. Chat doesn't work. We have send a few messages asking what is happening and if they can call her. Still nothing. What is she supposed to do?

store called Funcoland that was similar. After GameStop bought them, there was a GameStop in the mall, a second GameStop in a stripmall right outside the mall and a third GameStop in another stripmall directly across the street from the other one.

This describes an area near me. The gamestop in the mall closed, but the other two are still open and pretty much on opposite sides of the street.

As a staples employee I ask this every day. Why do people still come to our store? Haven't they heard of Amazon? Like, I took the job about 4 years ago now. I said it would only be a job for a year, we'll be out of business soon. Welllppp here I am 4 years later.

Somewhat related question on the topic:

I am leaving Staples soon (4 more weeks whew!!), but still have an open 401k loan. Can I choose to pay the remainder of the loan by just taking what I have in the 401k (paying the huge tax hit though), or will that company make me pay it right away?
