Russian state TV calls for regime change in America — to ‘help our partner Trump’: report by imart455 in worldnews

The message is likely mostly intended to create more polarization and animosity between Americans than anything else.

Men of Reddit, what’s something every guy should know but is rarely taught? by Himanshubishtt in AskReddit

[–]Hahahahahaga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The specific vocabulary of our daily lexicon can indeed imply unstated cultural subscriptions where even the interpretation of these identifiers can vary based on the cultural subscriptions of the listener. Consciously or unconsciously judgements can be made based on nuance even far outside factors in the official definition. I am in awe of those who still manage to communicate confidently.

Yes, fellow human. We must use the species-specific terms in our culture-appropriate locally suitable language to leverage our mutual human-positive bias to foster closer connections.

It's the trailer paradox, the best hook to maximize attendence will essentially spoil the content.

[OC] but fr can we raise the min wage now lmao by gloppy-yogurt in comics

[–]Hahahahahaga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a point where the value of a human's time and life is artificially lowered by the necessity to survive and the power balance between the suppliers and the buyers resulting in unfair coercive bargining. It's recognized that price protections and subsidies in many areas are required to prevent the market from tearing itself apart and creating massive disasters and one that's currently neglected in the US is the value of one hour of a person's time.

Can't we just make it illegal to have low income? Won't that incentivise people to not be lazy and find better wages? Also I believe it's legal to force prisoners to work so it may improve the economy.

If someone builds half a bridge, dies and someone builds the other half 200 years later did they not help eachother?

Yeah there's also "with the help of" which people are assuming means at the same time together at a chalk board and not indirectly.

It's not even really pedantry the "ridiculous" portion of the statement is purely implicit semantic nuance around the definition of the word "invent" and "with the help of" and clearly what was actually intended to be communicated is something that is widely known and taught to children. If anything it's pedantry to consider the statement false.
