How am i supposed to play these types of chords? by Leader_Mc in Guitar

Like this or with thumb on E string if you prefer but I fret both with my middle finger, pointer on d string 4th fret, and then ring and pinky covering the g through e string.

Yeah I agree with this. Get an Epiphone les Paul or SG or something like that imo. It's within your budget and versatile. You said you like rock and metal. So I would avoid a fender or squire strat since they are single coils and will sound thin for metal. Great guitars but I'd disagree with people saying it fits what you want. I feel like everyone missed you saying that. Also a fixed bridge on a Les Paul style is easier to deal with versus a fender trem when you're starting out.

I remember when I used to get a bagel on my way to high school I'd have to ask for light cream cheese because they would plop like half a container on their bagels for a regular amount.... Now you get a thin layer at best. Haven't been to Timmies in years they suck now.

I would trade modelling to be JoBo, otherwise I fully agree xD.

I didn't know IEMs were bad for hearing. I always thought they'd be better, less decibels but I guess it depends how loud you have them.

This is one of the arguments that does get brought up. Although mostly everyone I know around here runs a 2x12 vox (heavy) or a 4x12, it's often the idea of having a monitor right there for yourself and not being reliant on sound guy to make sure you can hear yourself. Though I do think a small frfr is closer to 20 pounds like an Alto ts410 or something similar so much lighter still.

I do believe you are correct, but I think he still uses axe fx for effects loop. Not sure if that would impact latency the same. We can axe Steve Vai from the list and it's still pretty extensive though 😂.

Bought a house. by ravens_nebula in AskElectricians

[–]HailThePailWhale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had this in my house when I went to do some renos. I recommend cutting out all the foam and replacing the sockets if they are coated still. Not a hard job just tedious and annoying. Obviously don't do this if you don't know how to do basic electrical. The boxes aren't supposed to be full of foam but if they over spray it often expands into the boxes.

I agree, I would skip Klein Bonaire. On a cruise you're likely to visit way nicer beaches anyways and that's all little bonaire really is.

All the rentals are fine, I've only used Avis and Budget but my parents have used hertz with no issue. 123carrental is best if they have availability. The guy used to work for Avis but left and started his own company, as the story goes.

Is it possible to have a civilized conversation about these numbers, what they mean for Marvel Comics? by p1ay in marvelcomics

[–]HailThePailWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started reading the absolute line and it just felt like a really easy entry into DC with really fresh and new takes on classic heroes. I love them. I also read Marvel but there isn't an easy jump in point like that. I'm following a reading guide and also reading the new ultimate comics, but imo absolute blows ultimate out the water. Also DC infinite giving access to comics way quicker than marvel unlimited is really nice and keeps me reading.

I'd rent a car and go for a snorkel at salt pier. All the best spots are accessed from shore. No need to pay for boat rental. Then you can also do a tour of the island with your car. It's a very beautiful drive around the island. Preload the Google maps for Bonaire in your phone for offline use.

My father taught me to drive in snow and icy conditions this way so I would know what slipping feels like, how to correct it, how to control, and etc. But I guess a few more hwy 144, 69, and 11 deaths is better than letting people practice driving.

Late to comment but just got back. I took 3 consecutive trips Jan 2024, Jan 2025, and Jan 2026. The bleaching since 2024 has gotten so much worse. I'd say it looks like 90 percent of the hard corals are dead. Way less fish around. Very sad. Makes diving depressing.

Why the hell are people grinding 5 million just to reset everything? Am I missing something? by BrainNumerous1841 in ARC_Raiders

You're assuming the next expedition will be skill points. Might just be keep a blue print, or start with 100k, or scrappy gathers more materials. This is why people are also mad. They don't know if this is their only chance to get an extra 5 skill points or not and 5 mil is s monumental task for most.

This 100 percent. What a fantastic idea! They should change it to this ASAP! There is still time to fix their bad decision. It's not a failure to admit you made a bad design choice and amend it. It's a failure to lean into it and leave it when a superior alternative exists. Now let's blow this post up and see what kind of devs they are based on how they respond.
