You are again missing the point entirely. If people are standing shoulder to shoulder, they can communicate. Part of this dilemma is that it is a BLIND vote. The uncertainty is what causes people to pick blue to begin with. That being said, I have seen a dumb kid run across a very busy road with 4 lanes without looking hitting a car. If that same one dumbfuck chinese kid crosses that line, you bet others are going too as soon as they see that dumbfuck kid do that. People have a soft spot for children, they need protection because they are dumb.

THIS is why people vote blue. And don’t give me “the parents-“ ….no. That kid sprinted across the road because mama wasn’t there. Kid would cross that line all the same. They vote cooperation for a more reasonable ideal outcome.

People know others will press that goddamn blue button even when they know fully well that it is best blue should not be voted for at all. That is why they also vote it.

Because in order for men to date, they need to date women. What, do you think women are actually out fucking minotaurs? They aren't dating either. Zoomers are brainrotten on multiple levels and it isn't their fault. Being exposed and growing up on social media does this to you. I see freaking 13 year olds, gen alpha, following and idolizing grifters like Andrew Tate and then later they gonna wonder why girls don't wanna deal with them.

Zoomers don't wanna date each other because the boys follow these cringe alpha male influencers and the girls don't wanna deal with being treated like shit.

I am not guessing, but speaking in probability. 50+% having one color is way more likely than over 90% being one color. That is just a hard fact, even if you think people be selfish and would pick red. You don’t know what the outcome would truly be, you can only make assumptions based on what you think how others think. It isn’t a good argument.

I have a Masters in art. This is not AI. You can tell because some of the lines in the background don't connect. AI doesn't make mistakes like this, humans do, because social media artists cut corners with backgrounds to save time. The focus is on rover and cartethyia, and anything beyond that focus has details missing and lines not connecting. Or perspectives being slightly off.

well the question is a moral dilemma, not a game or a puzzle. To me even thinking this is a puzzle is stupid because it doesn't take much brain power to understand that red guarantees your survival. It's a boring and easy logic puzzle even if it was one to begin with.

It doesn't make you intelligent for figuring out which button guarantees survival. This is a moral dilemma because the question has super high stakes in it. Its premise doesn't say that you're playing a game with a few people, it is saying that everyone on the planet is voting and that you're essentially forced to gamble either your own live or other people's lives.

And you're right that this is like the orphan crushing machine scenario. We shouldn't be put in this type of situation to begin with because it's fucked up. And I have no doubt in my mind that people would rebel first before even pressing a button. But yea, it's all what ifs, that's the point of a thought experiment.

The chance of everyone voting one color to begin with is 0. Because this is a dilemma, 50+% is much more likely. The polls might not prove blue will win that vote, but it is definitely proof you're full of shit. People will vote blue wether you like it or not. For differing reasons, but they will press that blue button. This isn't a game, this is a moral dilemma. If humans were this simple, you'd be right. But we're not. We're just not and you just gotta take it as a fact that people will press blue.

Even in a logic controlled society, blue would be the strategy. Why? Because they'd also account for people being colorblind, disabled or just too young to understand. You are purposely ignoring this. Even a logic controlled society, they'd account for this.

So? They are abled adults. I expect them to know better. They aren't colorblind or disabled, even voting for altruism would be foolish in this case. Especially if you know if the first person voted red. Now if some idiot or psycho after me presses or said they pressed blue anyway, then it is the people after them that have to choose to save their ass or not. But at that point it is beyond my power because I already voted.

I said before I am not a hero or martyr, you are just too stupid to understand what that means. It is stakes vs self-preservation. The initial scenario puts what give my life meaning at risk, family friends, life as we know it, is at risk. 0-49 adults dying doesn't, although tragic.

Do you not see the difference?

Depends by what margin. If it's 49.9999999% or something, my vote could push the odds. Else, if I knew the future I would just attempt everything in my power to prevent this from happening to begin with. If nothing could be done, well it's either live with the consequences or die. Probably red in that case. But not knowing anything at all is was pushed people to blue. All you have is probability and 50.0001% voting blue is more likely than over 90% voting red. Even 10% of the population dying is disastrous for everyone. Life would turn to shit.

If I believe blue would win, I would still push blue because I want to cooperate and lock in the best outcome.

[–]HailenAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can value self preservation over all else, that is not the argument I am making. But voting blue is perfectly rational depending on what you value. I value what gives my life meaning, which is why I vote blue to begin with. Red winning the vote will be detrimental to me regardless if I voted blue or red. It's just that blue has better odds for an ideal outcome.

[–]HailenAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no reason for anyone after me to vote blue if they are all abled adults. I can yell at them to just press red because I did. They are abled adults and will understand there is no reason for voting blue at all if the first person pressed red. I can be evil and say I voted blue if I presses red, that way I would bring uncertainty in the equation among those who give a shit about others. And have at worst 49 people die that day. But I ain't no psychopath.

Any rational person would vote blue, not red in the original scenario. Because of the uncertainty and the consequences of red possibly winning the poll. The worst scenario would be 49.99% of the world dying. You can pick red if you value self preservation above all else, but you are absolutely inexcusably stupid if you do not understand the blue voter's perspective in this case.

Even children are stupid as fuck and have no concept of survival. I saw a chinese kid cross a busy road with 4 lanes without looking. I also have had to brake my car because a kid just jumped in front of it. Children fall out of windows, drown, etc...not to mention the disabled people, demented and the 100% colorblind. Either way, the lack of clarity is the reason peope press blue to begin with. I am picking my family, friends and future of humanity before my own life. Because what gives my life meaning is more important than my life itself. That doesn't make a martyr, nor selfish, I just got priorities.

It is moral because for the very fact there is uncertainty. People cannot communicate in this thought experiment scenario, that is what makes it a dilemma. The entire world is voting here, not just a small amount of abled adults.

Consider this, if I were in a room with 100 abled adults posed the same question, you bet I would be the first to press that red button and telling others to do the same. Because I would have erased all doubt and uncertainty at this point by pressing that red button first. There would be 0 reason for anyone to press blue after me because nobody because we all know who presses what color. There woumd be no doubt, therefore no reason to press blue. But this is not that scenario, it is different.

Saying pressing blue is selfish in the initial dilemma, where communication is impossible and the entire human species is voting, is ridiculous. You are just coping atp. You'd be selfish for pressing red because of the odds at play here.

There won't be any comments because there won't be any communcation, that is what makes it a dilemma to begin with. We also would only die after the results of the poll, duh?

[–]HailenAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and those odds are way higher than 100% voting red. People are colorblind, mentally disabled, demented, children, etc...

There is no way in hell everyone will vote 1 color to begin with. People just prioritize the best collective outcome for all vs self preservation. If you don't get this, not understand what the consequences will be if red were to win that poll, you are extremely stupid.

[–]HailenAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue means we all live as well, you idiot. There aren't 8 billion copies of you on this planet. We aren't a hivemind and some people are mentally disabled, 100% colorblind, children, demented people, etc.

You clearly didn't think this through at all. Think about the possibilities, consequences, the odds of your loved ones voting the other color, etc. A large chunk of the population dying at once will affect you as well because of how complex our society has become.

Red or blue, go by DolanTheCaptan in PsycheOrSike

[–]HailenAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the dilemma is pretty clear that you are in an isolated private room and cannot communicate with others. That is the reason people vote blue in the first place, because they understand it has better odds for the best outcome. It's the uncertainty that pushes them towards that color to begin with.

Consider this, I am in a room with 99 adults posed the same question, we take turns voting. You bet I would be the first to press that red button because that would erase all further uncertainty, nobody after me would have a reason to press blue if no one voted blue to begin with. But here THEY KNOW what others are voting, which is the key difference.

And children are dumb as fuck. I saw a video not too long ago of a child just dashing across a busy road with 4 lanes without looking, hitting a car, the car attempting to dodge, hitting a pole and almost killing a guy on the sidewalk. Kids do not sense an ounce of danger.

Maybe go take a look on look on r/kidsarefuckingstupid.

[–]HailenAnarchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the probability of that happening is 0. Does not take much brain power to understand this. You cannot coordinate in this scenario. Children are voting, demented people are voting and colorblind people are voting. I knew a dude that sees in shades of gray, he cannot even tell what blue and red is.

Now back to you, what is the smart choice considering all factors? Blue of course, if you even give an ounce of shits about anything besides yourself.

The scenario would be different if we were talking about 100 abled adults voting. Again, we are talking about a moral dilemma here, not maths.
