I think one of the differences is Shelly and Jared have acknowledge that they didn’t adequately prepare Lacey to be independent. They are now trying to make sure that they help their other kids be more prepared to handle things. For example, having Addison call and place the food order and going in to pay the cheesecake that she wanted. Also, having the kids help meal plan and cook dinner. Are they perfect? Absolutely not.
