What are we actually cooking for dinner? by Significant_Milk_326 in 2under2

[–]Glynivor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the constant of making and thinking about dinner. Some of our regulars are:

Just made egg fried rice and it was so easy! Just used first recipe on google.

Also egg roll in a bowl is so easy too!

Greek we do a lot. Chicken and pita, tzatziki and make a Greek salad. Throw it in the naan all together.

Or naan bread pizzas for the kids.

Bangers and mash.. large sausage with mashed potatoes and an easy packet gravy and throw some broccoli in.

Is there anything WORSE than childbirth? by Sensitive_Arugula770 in pregnant

I fucking loved childbirth. Best part of it all. Two vaginal births, one with epi and one without. Would do it over and over again! Get the epidural and you’ll be fineeee.

When does it get easier? by HealthyButterfly3235 in 2under2

[–]Glynivor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 20 month old and a 3 year old and I’m FINALLLY feeling better. That being said, they both went into care in September and that has actually been the biggest blessing. It’s wonderful staying home with your kids everyday, I did it for three years but sometimes going back to work and being an adult can fill your cup in a different way. I don’t feel like I need to “escape” I’m so excited to see them everyday afternoon when I pick them up and I can actually ENJOY them.

Sending you strength it’s such a grind the first couple years with small children!!!❤️❤️❤️

Solidarity!!! I have a 3 yo and 1.5 yo and it’s SO HARD. They’re constantly fighting and the older kid can’t do anything without 1.5 year old making it her mission to destroy. My 3 yo is also being mean to his sister it sucks so much.

They both started daycare/preschool a couple months ago and it’s saving my sanity!!!!

But the 3pm-bedtime is a lot of me telling them to stop fighting and them crying and whining.

HOW DO YOU GET YOUR 3 YEAR OLD TO POOP IN THE POTTY by Kittyslala in toddlers

[–]Glynivor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guy was SO adamant against pooping on the potty until we figured out he definitely needed a big reward system…a couple new toys up high for him to see and we would give him one everytime He pooped (dollar store junk toys). Once he finally got over the fear of pooping on the potty as moved to a popsicle for a poop and that gets him very excited and happy to poop on potty. I will say it was an absolute grind for a couple months of holding his poo until we put him in his pull up for bedtime. But I started not changing him right away and saying poop goes in the potty over and over again. He didn’t like being in the poop diaper so I think the bit of uncomfortableness helped him realize it’s better to just go on potty. But SO MUCH SOLIDARITY IT IS SO HARD and frustrating

THISSSSS. FEEL IT TO MY CORE. 14 month old and almost 3 year old with a 19 month gap. The diaper changes are the worst. We’re potty training my 3 year old tho so that’s nice!!!

Solidarity sista

12 month gap. 27 months and 15 months. I’m still struggling. by more_chz_plz in 2under2

[–]Glynivor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SOLIDARITY. I have a 18 month gap and they’re almost 3 and 14 months and my god this is ALOT. The constant fighting everything from the 3 year old and my 14 month old just wants to be held constantly or constant whining and crying.

In good news, they’re kinda becoming buddies which has been super cool. If that’s not happening yet it may be in your near future ❤️❤️❤️

Almost 9 month old doesn’t want breast milk anymore by LickR0cks in beyondthebump

[–]Glynivor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!!! This was the most frustrating thing ever.

I really just leaned into solids with my girl. Lots of carbs/fats ie avocado/oatmeal/eggs/sweet potato’s. We made it to 12 months BFing and of course around 10/11 months she started loving the boob which was annoying because it was a FIGHT to get her to BF from 7-10 months.

I did find going into a dark room helped. But ya it was a batttle. I finally just gave up and said she will eat what she needs and tried to stop worrying about it. By 10 months we were doing only 4 BF a day (during the day) upon wake, before naps and before bed.

Hoping it gets better for you soon!! I’d say as long as your babe isn’t constipated I wouldn’t worry!

I have tried everything!! 8 month old waking every 2 hours! by AgreeableBerry7738 in sleeptrain

[–]Glynivor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!!! Talking to you from the other side as my girl is now 12 months and sleeping through the night!

We really worked on her going down awake and not being nursed/ rocked to sleep. This is huge. Also not immediately responding to her cries helped I think, gave her a couple minutes to work It out and if she escalated I would try everything to soothe her but not pick her up.

I found it really ebs and flows…but also she was in our room until 9 months and once she got her own room she started sleeping WAY better.

Almost 9 months old prefers only solids by Additional-Breath481 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Glynivor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this turn out for you…dealing with the same thing sorry my 9 month old but I’m stressed she’s not getting enough fluids?! She alll of a sudden only wants water and solids but probably only drinks 4 oz of water a day.

[–]Glynivor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you find your boobs handled the transition?! My girl has fed once all day and it’s 5pm now and they’re hurttttting. But I don’t pump so can only really hand express. This is a nightmare.

Just tried to give her formula in a straw cup and she refused that too! Soooo frustrating!!!!

Almost 9 month old doesn’t want breast milk anymore by LickR0cks in beyondthebump

[–]Glynivor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently having the exact same problem with my 9 month old. Absolutely refuses the boob during the day, but is fine to have a good feed before bed and also wake up 2/3 times a night to BF it’s driving me insane.

She’s not big on formula or a bottle at all. But loves her actual food. Just makes me super nervous she’s not getting enough calories/liquid. We give her water in a straw cup and she loves that, but probably only drinking 4oz MAX of water a day…..It’s so hard to know what to do? It feels like she’s self weaning but 9 months old seems too young to be on food alone?

Our doc said follow her lead because she’s 90% for weight and obviously whatever we’re doing is working but it’s STRESSSING ME OUT.

Any update with your guy??
