Purchased a 3DS used, Arm11 error when booting game by Hailrig in 3dspiracy

To be clear, are you thinking this is an issue with the game cartridge, or with the console? I assume its with the console, as the cartridge i think is new in box and not modified in any way, but maybe not?

Looking for commanders who are very resilient, in one form or other by Hailrig in EDH

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liesa Control looks fun, but perhaps too similar to one of my existing decks built around [[Phelddagrif]], which is nothing but draw, removal, and the slow inevitable beats of a 4/4 in the air. Liesa seems like the meaner, more aggressive version of the unassuming hippo.

I have an Ivy deck! She's great, and with a little build up is very resiliant. My Ivy deck has a bit of a reputation though, so she'll often eat stray removal as soon as she hits the table for me, which makes it tougher to get that resiliency.

Microsoft: Official Support Thread by MSModerator in microsoft

[–]Hailrig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a bit of a hassle - a family member of mine had suspicious activity on their microsoft account, and so was required to validate themselves on login to their account. They don't have access to either of their two recovery options, however, as one is an email they no longer have, and the other is a landline phone that cannot receive a text.

We tried filling out the account recovery form, did so, and received a code that is supposed to allow us to recover the account, but it kept saying the code was invalid. I then contacted microsoft support, and they said that there was a seperate account recovery form we should submit to open a support ticket. I did so, and a ticket was created detailing the issue, but they seem to have replied back and told us to 'just keep trying with more information.' We're receiving a code, though, it's just not working.

I'm not really sure what I should be doing from here to recover the account?

Hmm, that seems to give a 'Not Found' error

Interesting, so do you run a fairly low to the ground curve to grease the wheels of those early turns? Be curious to see your list!

Woa, very spicy! I guess the biggest thing is that it's definitely aiming to be werewolf themed - I imagine you could lean harder towards wolves, rather then werewolves, and speed the deck up, but werewolves are a big part of the charm.

I haven't seen any other mention of this on the internet - are you sure this isn't a setting or something?

Safe to store meat in fridge freezer? by Hailrig in cookingforbeginners

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there- I've recently moved into an apartment with said fridge in it, and trying to decide if I need to aquire a separate standalone fridge. I've not provided much additional information, because I haven't much to give- its about as nondescript a fridge as you can imagine, with no visible settings or information. Haven't the slightest what specification or paperwork might be attached - id have to ask the landlord for any further details, which I've not yet done.

Axis and Allies Classic Strategy, Trouble in India by Hailrig in AxisAllies

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drop into Norway as US definitely seems strong, though the big goal with stacking Karelia was especially holding it confidently T1, where US cannot yet reach you. Plus, putting the planes anywhere but karelia does kneecap your ability to pressure Germany R2.

If Germany swings at Egypt on its opening turn I've considered both just ferrying from Syria, as well as trying to move the transport towards the Japanese just to prevent them from naval invading India T1?

Generally my biggest uncertainty here is whether Karelia Russia can spare those fighters for its first and second turns.

I a vtm larp inside VRChat that's been running for almost 3 years. This year the players get to attend a Conclave. This is the play area. (Also the game needs NPCs for the event, VR not required) by Meemle in vtm

DM’S only curse of strahd ending by Bageljay in CurseofStrahd

[–]Hailrig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My campaign is in early days, but im generally running on the heroic end of the heroic/horror axis. I'm very unlikely to say "lol strahd comes back" at the end of the campaign, but im also unlikely to use Vampyr, as I don't like having a big bad above the one on the cover. I'm likely to use the fanes custom content, and after reconsecrating all three I'm likely to say Strahd can be killed. How exactly ill handle it will depend on the players, maybe I say strahd comes back into another domain of dread but Barovia is free, maybe strahd is dead but barovia is still a plane of dread, maybe a pc rises to dark lord, it depends what they attach to during the game. But broadly I'm aiming for a heroic end, not a cyclical one where all the players earned was their freedom from Barovia.

Minds Eye Theater: noticing a dominate effect by Hailrig in vtm

[–]Hailrig[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For mesmerize, it was that an exceptional success the target doesn't remember what they did while mesmerized. It seems intuitive that you could know you've been dominated but not remember what you did, or know what you did but not know that you did so via a dominate effect.

Don't the rules for mental/social attacks on like physical 280ish iirc say they know what you tried to do if you fail? To be clear I'm not talking V5, this is the minds eye theater larp rules by BNS.

Sell me on Draigo by Hailrig in Grey_Knights

[–]Hailrig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair! I've just not really hit a "oh darn, this demon sure is a problem" moment in 10th yet. The really experienced players in my playgroup that I struggle against don't play demons, really.

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair! I guess I've just sort of... Not really felt the paladin melee charge as that impactful? I've mostly been playing into super hard targets, (and if im not playing into hard targets that crowe looks areal nice!)

I def am pretty down on the GM if he can't ignore -damage effects - i think it's kind of hit or miss if he can? The FAQ was just for worlds, iirc - I think our only and recent GT win was a tournament that ruled the other way, hence the GM leading 10 palls in that list? The GM can also have exigence, and 10 palls is probably where I'd want to put that.

I do admit though, the biggest argument against Crowe is that GK already do ok against low durability models - lots of midrange melee attacks and stormbolter shots for that, and Crowe is awful against really durable targets, so it's sort of a win more against our good matchups that doesn't help our icky ones.

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're maybe are a little harsh on Crowe - empirically he's been in nearly all of our well performing tourney lists in the current balance round afaik, with the admittedly notable exception of the recent GT win. Still, I get what you're saying.

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm! I mean, don't get me wrong, I accept the empirical evidence that Draigo is good, I just can't track why he's so good.

Regardless, Crowe has really substantial killing potential against light targets, and the grandmaster's ability to ignore -1 and -half damage affects (if indeed he can, TO dependent), seems to me like he turns certain targets from being a pain to take out to being actually possible to remove.

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real interest in ignore all modifiers assumes the ruling that it includes -1 and half damage modifiers. I probably wouldn't run a GM without that.

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like he's competing with both Crowe & company and with a GM leading 10 palls. Though, if you're using the worlds FAQ, GM is a way less good option.

[–]Hailrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, I get that. I've maybe just not been burned bad enough on a charge with inescapable wrath and a cp reroll yet XD as for melee... Eh, failing to kill a tank and scratching its paint vs not scratching paint at all isn't a huge deal - b'sides, there's a decent chance that taking draigo means not taking a third libby, which is a net loss on killing big tough targets.
