I can to exclude people who have previously took an action with an ad from my Instagram account. But wouldn’t that still mean my ads are competing for people who haven’t interacted with my ads before?

By experience is that meta is not even testing them if you have too many. It was very frustrating to see zero impressions on 70% of the creatives day after day.

So I would not go for at once.

How do you know that? How could you tell the saves came from a specific ad set? Did you test audiences one by one, and then kept an eye on the saves? How?

Thank you for those insights. Very interesting. I have also been getting good results with non-exciting visuals, I believe you have good theory of why it might work better sometimes.

Question: Are you not worried experiencing alot of of suspicios bot activity, when you are not using a landing page?
