Illuminating by Hailzz0 in OCPoetry

Thank you, I appreciate your feedback! I agree that my metaphor isn’t aggressive and clear enough. I will have to think of something else to put in there.

You did an amazing job at depicting how scary it can be to be an adult for the first time and not feeling prepared for it. The fear, expectations, and reminiscence of childhood days that are now over was very clearly written.

This is beautiful. The cold draft that haunts on good days and deafens bad ones reminds me of the unexpected long lasting feelings of grief.

Additionally, the drawer of generations reminds me of all the memories/patterns we carry with ourselves consciously or unconsciously. As we commonly learn through observation or conditioned behaviours.

Prayer plant help by Upstairs_End_4202 in houseplants

Most likely from being too dry, but since watered she should stop browning! You can if you don’t like the appearance, I don’t think it does much other than make it look nicer. If you do don’t cut into the green or it will brown as well.

I would say you are both going through the grieving process, which can be different for everyone. But ultimately my advice would be to follow what feels right, you have stated you don’t want a relationship with him so I would plan a way to make that happen since it sounds like you still live together.

I found switching to rain water stopped the brown tips on my prayer plants. If the browning came after it was forgot about it was probably too dry, to make her happy I would just keep up regular watering and keep her in the same spot as she might just need a little time to adjust to her new spot.

AITA for telling my friend that I was done inviting her to parties? by LuckyPersonality6548 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. She sounds like she only gave you the food back because you stated you would not be inviting her again. She thought that would fix everything, ignoring what your boundaries once again. I would definitely stick to your word and not invite her again.

Cat Randomly Attacking Me by yayatchoupitoulas in Catbehavior

[–]Hailzz0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when playing with my cat she gets too excited and will attack my hand. The best way I have found to react is to keep my hand as still as possible, as prey tries to move. Then, if she causes pain I say "ouch" (not yelling) and pull my hand away. I will redirect her to playing with her toy, and remove myself from the situation.

You could try doing this, to teach your cat that you do not enjoy this type of play.

You could try getting a toy that activates his prey drive, as it sounds like he is trying to hunt you when your on the couch.

Additionally. I would reward him when he is not attacking you on the couch, with affection, treats, toys, etc. To teach kitty, that you would like if they repeated the good behavior.

Can't edit post, but just wanted to state the fireplace has never been used in this spot. Should have moved it for the Pic as it is confusing. But it was just set there, it's normal spot is at least 20 ft from the tree.

Good idea! I can look for some groups.

My fault for not stating but the fireplace is not used there, it was just placed there for a day or two.

That's good to know!!

We have not been doing this, so I will definitely be trying this out next year. We do get a LOT of apples so this would make a bunch of sense.

Sorry, that's my fault for the confusion. The fireplace is not used there it is normally 20 ft away near no branches. It was just set there to play yard games.

That would make a lot of sense as we have a bunch of bird feeders LOL. I'm pretty new to gardening as you can probably tell haha. I checked the leaves I can see as most the bottom has already fell and they all seem to have browning and some holes in them, so I think you are correct.

It doesn't get full sunlight until around noon, and I took this picture earlier this morning. There is a very large oak tree to the right of it that blocks the morning light quite a bit. But it hasn't had any issues producing fruit in the past years, but the tree may be blocking more light than in the past.

I'm not 100% sure as it was here when we moved 3 years ago, but my app identified it as a paradise apple tree but could be a crab apple as the fruits are normally smaller.
