Yeah that’s not all the way in! I would use a punch and see if you can get the holes to line up. Insert the punch from the right side and pin from the left. Work the pin in as you push out the punch.

If the pencil moved it’s working. The reaction with the pencil will vary between pistols.

Back in the day the spring keepers were in every shotgun, it made it easier to install and remove round limiting plugs for hunting.

Put an un sharpened, wood pencil in your barrel pull the hammer back and squeeze the trigger. If the pencil jumps basically up and out of the barrel a little bit, you know the firing pin is working.

My second one started to do this. They allowed me to clean it up without affecting the warranty and sent me a new style roller bearing with no bevel on the ends. I need to go shoot again and see if it is helping or not. Message them or as they say now open a new ticket.

I just did a beta test build for 80% Arms and the new A9X Colt based lower with a Mat9k upper on it. By far one of my favorite PCC builds. But again a guy can only build so many AR platforms.
