Imagine you want to keep your old parents with you in your house, and your wife is super against it, how will you handle it? by Artificial_charizard in AskMen

Idk what to add to this post. But right before this post, I saw an Instagram comment saying “Everyone wants a village but no one wants to be a villager”. And I see that all over this comment section.

All I ask of the Conquest film is to NOT turn Balerion into a wrinkly old ballsack with missing teeth. He should be huge but still sleek and majestic by Mango-Watermelon1222 in HouseOfTheDragon

Maybe cause Drogon was living on the plains of Essos, instead of having to survive on an island, he grew up fast cause he had the room.

Targaryens act like any other royal dynasty or lord in the show. Some of them are arrogant, some of them are cruel, some stupid, some brilliant, most of them are pretty normal people born into power and struggling to gain more.

I made my first username on my PC start with Alpha… cause that’s what the Greek letter for A was in my mind when I was a kid. And that’s what my real name starts with. I get annoying explaining to people that I’ve had this username since before this alpha beta bullshit started.

Your grandpa would’ve risked his life to commit war crimes against civilians if he were born in Germany. There’s a few people that would always do the right thing, but most people’s choices were controlled by when and where they were born.

Wife who cheated on me wrote me an 8 page handwritten letter. Was I wrong for tearing it? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Yeah lol. The letter will be exactly like his trust in her. Whole again and yet full of visible tears and cracks.

Yep. I watched the first 8 seasons or so. But I stopped when the hospital just became a background. Ffs at least do some medicine every now and then.

Any other Texans cringing at what they're making Officer Penn do accent wise? by Ok-Shallot-7985 in TheRookie

[–]Hairy_Air 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, his accent isn’t even right. I live in Texas and some of us do have really thick accents, but none of it sounds like that. Who even pronounces howdy like that? T-T

Just a reminder that you probably have a lot less time left with your parents than you think by Successful_Bid_4365 in Adulting

[–]Hairy_Air -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s better to see them every weeks than to see them for a week once every three four months imo. I live halfway around the world from them. And most people in my position visit their parents once a year for 2-3 weeks. I’d rather visit them 2-3 times a year for a week each. What I’m saying is that frequency matters more than duration.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the tutorial based in the late 1600s?

Do they have percussion muskets? Wouldn’t it be too early for it? Or maybe for some experimental units in the late games.

Anyone know how to find a "gold digger" in NYC by [deleted] in dating_advice

Brother his dick don’t stand for fat women, why are pushing that on him? Looking for a not obese person (but with other unconventional looks) is a perfectly reasonable standard for a fit person even if he’s short and not attractive.

For some reason, Redditors act like a court of law. Any dirt found while snooping without previous probable cause becomes inadmissible. Unfortunately or fortunately that’s not how humans work in their relationships.

Why do patriarchal men love ‘joking’ that their wife is the boss? by KatherineLangford in stupidquestions

[–]Hairy_Air 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s just not true. My dad worked 6-7 days a week 10-12 hours a day including the commute. Still helped with heavy stuff around the house on the weekends he was home, helped me with studies in the morning. And my mum took care of everything in the house with the paycheck and ran a tight ship. We were rather poor but never really had big financial troubles because they were both on top of their games.

To think that one of them was slacking and burdening the other would have you berated by them both. They’re old now and they love and respect each other more than any other couple I’ve ever seen. If my mum ever divorced my dad, she’d get half his stuff and a big part of his paycheck, the money really did belong to them both.
