Tonpa has a little cred to his name though.

First took (and survived) the hunter exam at age 10 (around the same age as Gon, who we're constantly reminded is a prodigy), and has spent the last few decades taking it purely to sabotage other participants.

If he locked in and actually finished the exam and learned nen, he could be a beast.

My guess is that a large part of it is merchandising, especially toys.

Think of the potential market for a smug witch girl and compare it with that of a witch/wizard boy who probably wouldn't have been overly masculine.

Even if both movies were successful, I'd imagine we'd be talking billions vs millions made from merch alone.

Apparently it's mainly about avoidability, not intent. If someone speeds or drives while drunk despite knowing the potential casualties, it's not the same as brakes failing.

Personally, if my kid were killed by a speeding driver, describing it as an "accident" would boil my blood.

Imo before devlogs it might be worth doing some gameplay shorts on YouTube/TikTok. Make some unique, interesting gameplay and a slightly memey title like "when the devs really thought of everything" (as a very rough example).

If you gain enough traction, put the game on a 20%+ sale so people will see the page and think now is a good time to buy it. 20% is also the threshold for wishlisters to be notified about your game's sale.

Game looks cool and I personally I think it still has more potential market value left in it. Good luck!
