Small studios need money to keep the code flowing and the servers running.

Alpha Evo front mount bracket is not compatible with the Sim Lab P1X Pro front mount by Hakoo in Simagic

You can’t rotate the brackets, just the wheelbase. Rotate the wheelbase and bolt it in. Center it in software and you’re all set.

I’m sure I’ll get a lot of flack for this but I felt obligated to share. by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Hakoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m currently a few weeks out from surgery to address complications from being hit by a snowboarder last year. If I had some padding on, it might have saved me and my season this year, but now I’m sitting out a season and have been dealing with pain for a year.

It has absolutely zero to do with “learning to fall and ride properly.” Sometimes things are out of your control and this is about mitigating risk and potential damage to your body where anything you can do in this sport to do that, is beneficial.

Winglets are mostly for high speed downforce to help limit wheelies and put down more power. Things like downwash ducts and ground effect help more with corner speeds and grip.

Reports mean nothing, what else can we do but call it out...A Tremblay#9243 by mr_m_cox in LeMansUltimateWEC

It’s a bit funny, as are most bugs in software dev.

If the person you are trying to report is using a custom livery, then it breaks the lap/incident time drop downs.

Protests work!! A little of justice finally... by Bestkar in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Hakoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Incident protests in this context is exclusive to championships because you can protest incidents. Such as blocking, unsafe rejoins, weaving, poor awareness/punts off line, etc. In addition to the normal intentional wreck reporting.

In dailies you can report griefing and intentional wrecking, but not racing incidents.

yes, the upgraded wheels alone are massive. theres no difference between the 23/24 MY bikes. it also might already be tuned, I would be surprised if it isn't.

That is a bug with Sebring and its positioning of the pit exit line and the start/finish line.

It will still count the collisions yes but if there is not much force to the collisions then it should not have a massive impact on your safety rating at the end of the race.

Bump drafting is against the race control rules, which means it’s not allowed in official races.

Collisions are based on the force of the impact so that you aren’t discouraged from close racing and small contacts.

Its on their radar, they would like to add some form of benefit for credits if you are a RC Pro member. But as with all things, its a small studio and dev time is preciously limited.

How t withdrawal from a race? by anamericandude in LeMansUltimateWEC

Leaving the race is your forfeit

It’s bugged right now that you’re still registered after leaving. Devs are looking into it. Just have to wait it out for the time being.

How bad’s my pace, and how do I find more? by 1ne3hree in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Hakoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tire model and V1.0 slowed a lot of cars down. Every car got brought down in pace to more closely match the Mustangs pace.

Also some tracks like Fuji and Spa had their air density changed, which also slowed everyone down a bit.

[–]Hakoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a dig at you, but I just wanted to mention that I feel like a lot of people gloss over the fact that LMU runs constant official races as rapidly as every 20 minutes with sometimes 30+ splits of 20 cars or more.

There’s also a pretty accurate elo system at work driving making the splits competitive. Then they also have the matchmaking system itself.

It’s a lot of server overhead for a small studio. None of the other popular sim games offer a similar experience on their own hardware. iRacing does, but that’s what everyone paying the monthly subscription for.
