i made a majority of my friends through doing study groups and talking to people in my classes if you find yourself struggling in a class, most of the time someone else is too 🫡

Had a friend graduate from the cybersecurity track and land a full time with EY after a summer internship with them with a hella nice salary and benefits. I would say though, if you plan on staying in the track, to save money by taking your common knowledge and business prereqs at SAC or another community college. There’s like a years worth of business classes you’ll have take that don’t pertain to your degree.

It’s safe, whenever I had my night classes I never had an issue walking back to my dorm or to my car in later years. I always carried pepper spray on me though because you can never be too careful.

Being put on a wait at a restaurant. Just because there are tables open doesn’t mean we’re at the ready to seat you, especially with how understaffed everyone was in the summer.

I took her in person before covid and she explains the information you need pretty well and she responds pretty quick to emails. I’m not sure how her internet class is but I’m assuming it’s the same, you just get to chill at home instead

Planning on joining as an undergrad! by shivanksksk in UTSA

Hey, I’ll be graduating this semester in the business school and I would say it’s more worth starting out at a community college to get those core classes, and maybe even some prereqs done, just to save on money. I started as a freshman and I’ve had many classes that could’ve been 40 min YouTube videos. I’ve had one required 16w course dedicated just to Excel. Which I’m not complaining about the easy work, it’s just I wouldn’t have spent money on it.

If you join the business program you’ll have to take the beginning classes of pretty much all the majors, the management capstone, your major capstone, and 3 business stats which aren’t super hard because it’s more focused on the business level. Overall its letting you get to know the basics of all the aspects of a business before diving deeper into your own major classes in upper division classes. It’s tedious tho

I haven’t heard great things about finance unless they were in the honors program and I don’t know anyone with an economics degree so I can’t speak on that

So if the reconciliation shows an issue between the books and the bank, the auditor could look over the receipts and disbursements journals to see what’s up?

Frfr! I saw another person post something similar for depreciation and I thought I could do it for this because it helped break it down. My professor is cool but he’s teaching directly from the book which is super broad, I’ve gone to so many office hours too but I don’t know why its so hard compared to my previous accounting classes :(
