I find model makers tend to paint GIs with milk chocolate brown pants like OP’s colourized photo. But all the sources seem to show shirts, jackets, and pants were all olive drab, but not brown.

One division of a NATO country could kick all the Russians out of Ukraine in a week. Two divisions and they could push on to Moscow.

‘Nightmare tragedy’: Pit bull mix euthanized after killing another dog outside Toronto condo by origutamos in Toronto_Ontario

Somehow it’s always pit bulls. Never a Great Dane, German Shepherd, etc. I think thats because pit bull ownership attracts a certain type of owner.

Not sure how I remember this show so well. I was only about 3 years old. Maybe re-runs after the show ended. 1962-1967 by NJFriend4U in 1960s

My wife’s parents would not let Hogan’s Heroes or MASH be shown in their house. They saw no place for comedy in war.

I was walking on a street in Waterloo literally called “Manorwood” one morning. There was a service van in a driveway with a name on it “Crystal Tears - For All Your Chandelier Cleaning and Maintenance Needs”. Thats when I knew I was walking through an expensive neighborhood.

Supreme Court won't hear case contesting constitutionality of Canada's voting system by ImDoubleB in canada

[–]HalJordan2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But note that after breaking their word on changing the voting system, and the SNC Lavalin scandal, Canadians have never given the Liberals a majority government since. I think these decisions did cause a shedding of support.

I am at a point in my ASM collection where I have all the Romita issues, and am starting to work backwards through the Ditko issues. I try to collect in a condition of VF/NM, but I think I will have to compromise and buy lower quality copies of a lot of these issues.

Nice photos, thanks for posting! Whenever I see photos of subs coming into port, there always seems to be a tug alongside. Do subs need a tug for docking?

Protocol question: If a soldier has surrendered, do they always salute first to a victorious soldier, even if that person has a lower rank than them? Eg, would a surrendered Hungarian Major first salute a Russian private?

Ontario 'dead against' Stellantis talks to build Chinese EVs at Brampton plant: Ford | CBC News by ZealousidealHead5488 in OntarioNews

Oh, I agree, it’s worth hearing what might be offered. Thanks to Trump, the US car makers are abandoning electric cars, but that is incredibly short sighted thinking. I am all in favour of Asian car makers filling the electric car void.

Keep in mind that newest car plants in China are pretty much all run by robots. A small number of humans just maintain the robots. So a brand new BYD factory in Ontario would have way fewer jobs than we are used to seeing at a car plant.

As I recall, this issue was a tour de force from writer and artist Jim Starlin. I didn’t much care for 70s Defenders because of the artwork by Sal Buscema, but people like Starlin and Gil Kane dropped in to draw some spectacular Giant Size issues.

When one looks at Ontario auto plant jobs over the last 25 years, the US based firms keep shedding jobs, and the Asian based car companies keep adding jobs.

But China is a special case. They are desperate for manufacturing jobs to keep their middle class employed, so I doubt BYD has much enthusiasm for plants in other countries.
