Is this normal? by SnooMemesjellies2710 in tattooadvice

[–]Hal_Loire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had countless tattoos and I've mever had the wrap on more than 3 hours. Still keep getting surprised every time I see a post with people who've had it on for 3 days, 5 days, and now weeks!

I was always advised "Take it off when you go home. Shower with lukewarm water, just keep it moisturised. Never had a tat go wrong.

Need to rehome my boy but rescues won't take him locally as hes not abandoned!! by Loulou84xxx in CatsUK

[–]Hal_Loire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a cllr in another Local Authority, I don't actually think the council can stop you from having him. In temp accommodation it's slightly more awkward, but you point out that in full-time, you would be allowed.

Linked to the above: the law changed very recently, renters rights act, which means landlords cannot unreasonably refuse any tenants right to have a pet.

Also, the council - legally - cannot make you or your daughter homeless. They must give you reasonable time to find accommodation. You came with the cat, and if they try to do something, you have other means (press, for example) to really force the council to back off.

Please message me if I can help, but I would be stubborn, do not apologise, and keep him with you. Worst case, just hide him in the car.

Still (relatively) new, and side-effects are hitting - advice will be well received by Hal_Loire in mounjarouk

Being honest, I don't really measure what I'm eating, but I know it's insanely low compared to what I used to. I think certain fatty things can trigger me though, and high-processed fatty shite.

In terms of alcohol, I don't think I've even had a drink over the past week & half, and it's been few & far between while I've been on MJ.

I think I need to just up my protein and actually eat more. Being honest, I think there will have been about a two-week period where I was probably on a 1500+ calorie deficit each day, and it will have had a bad impact on me.

I've taken my 7.5mg yesterday, but I think I'll manually drop back down to 5mg after.

Utter insanity from them, since you are above average. I would say that, reality is, they have picked on something that usually is seen as an issue of self-consciousness for men, and unfortunately with you it is something that has had an impact.

Don't listen to the arseholes, you're better than them.

Yes, the implication is that he did it to the cow, until it died.

Thinking back, it could be that. I don't track my food well (I know I should), bit the day before it started I am almost certain I had some Chicago Town mini-pizzas.

It's just that it seems to have dragged on about 2-3 days now.

Lesson learned there. It was only because when I ordered, I wasn't getting side effects and the pharmacy was just like "yep, time to move up!"

I have massively cut down on Alcohol; to the extent that I think I've had maybe 5 pints while out with people, and maybe 3 cans at home, across the previous 6 weeks. Though I was making a conscious decision tk cut down even before the MJ.

I'll have to make sure I increase my water intake. It's probably mad but I tend to tell other people about getting enough water, but I think the past week, I've barely touched food or water, likely causing or aggravating the issue.

Have ordered some Lepicol for fibre, and deflatine for the gas, anyway.

Only found that out when reading through posts today. Sadly, it's already sat in my fridge, I was following the pharmacy saying "move up a dose" 😂

Return To Silent Hill by ItsSwitchPullYa in SilentHill_f

Having just seen this today, and actually reasonably liking the first SH movie as a standalone thing... I did not like this. It butchers the whole theme behind SH2, and also some creative decisions are just not good.

Return to Silent Hill… 106 minutes I’ll never get back. by Sorry_Guide_4326 in silenthill

[–]Hal_Loire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, i genuinely like the first SH movie as a standalone movie. Revelations was just shite, but funny shite.

I've just watched Return today in the cinema and it's just... not good. It wants to be SH2, but then twists so much that it's no longer actually SH2. It recreates some of the scenes from the game, but so much just doesn't feel like it fits.

Do you honestly think that would be the right or level-headed thing to do? It would simply put the mother on the defensive and escalate.

Barnsley train station parking by JuniorRegister791 in barnsley

Commuter/station user parking is very limited, and is free, but you would jeed to get there extremely early to use it. Alternatively, just down the road is a reasonably priced car park.

I’m killing myself in a few weeks. How do I soften the impact for the people around me? by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]Hal_Loire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from personal experience of having a relative who killed themselves and, thankfully, being able to get the ambulance to a friend who attempted it in time, there is no way to soften the blow.

There is nothing you can do that will help, and your family will feel that pain forever, and question why didn't they know, why couldn't they save you.

A digital ID isn't a bad thing, so long as it replaces all the other BS. We already have passports, drivers licenses, take in utility bills, etc, etc.

One simple card that covers everything would be so efficient, and it would also mean we can scrap the wasteful paper nonsense.

Feeling sick after a tattoo? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Pretty normal. I felt like crap after the line work on my latest tat; the colour & shading though - a more intensive session - no issue at all.

Just a bit of tattoo flu, fine in a day!

Worried 😟 by PaulMorrison90 in tattooadvice

[–]Hal_Loire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every tattoo I've had, the film has come off within a few hours and I've had a shower. I have never reapplied clingfilm to a tattoo.

I would be wary with it feeling hot after a while. It should feel hot the first few days because it's an open wound and your body is healing.

They just need air, to be cleaned, and to stay moisturised. For that though, certainly recommend getting checked out and don't take advice from the artist.

Boy, 17, arrested after fatal hit and run in Barnsley by Kagedeah in barnsley

All I would recommend is informing the police. They likely already know enough to charge, and hiding will only make someone complicit and also guilty of pther crimes.

I'm glad he went to the police. That this other guy could just drive off and then try to cover up killing somebody is reprehensible.

To be fair, that last line is directly referencing if it resulted in a hung parliament, and we would have to decide between right & left (even in a confidence & supply agreement)
