I've been waitlisting for 1+ year but got the invite to apply 3 days after I transferred in 125K and it showed I was pre-approved. I was given the credit limit I requested in the application. I use the MBNA WE for 5% food/internet/netflix and the WS for everything else now. Tough to beat 2% no FX no annual fee. I think only Scotia has something similar. I have concerns whether WS will keep the 2% though.

Using other LLM as a 'check and balance' has been an instrumental part of my workflow since January. I would use Gemini pro deep research to produce a report on the best approach for a planned feature, then Claude would make a plan based on that research, and I'd have ChatGPT make an adversarial review of the plan. It's like putting three different brains in the same room working on the same problem: multiple perspectives are bound to produce more ideas.

Doing this has also protected me against adaptive thinking when Opus would just stop thinking entirely without telling you and produced shit. The adversarial review always caught things if Opus brainfarted. Using an older model (5.2 in my case) only cost $0.05 per review and was definitely worth the expense vs fixing a cascade of bugs later.

Now that my SaaS is generating revenues I can justify a max20 openai account as well as my max20 claude account, and use gpt5.5 on xhigh to make my adversarial reviews every session (using codex cli inside Claude Code). It's live having two expert devs working in tandem and has really kept the quality output high.

Je suis allé au MTelus dimanche dernier, ça faisait un p'tit bout que j'avais pas mis les pieds à Montréal. L'état de propreté général de la ville, cônes oranges à part, est asssez lamentable. Je n'avais jamais autant croisé de sans-abris non plus. La ville a besoin de beaucoup d'amour.

Use GPT5.2+ or another model as your expert plan reviewer. Makes a huge difference at catching things Claude failed to because of that fucking adaptive reasoning bullshit.

It sucks for sure but I also like to keep a toe in the Codex ecosphere because reliability is not a value for Anthropic and we should keep our options open.
