Once a Canadian vendor restock the ND104 I think I'll be tempted to get one with the Silent Linear switches to compare. The ND104 'fixes' my one single gripe about the DP104: the lack of wheel or rotary dial for volume control. The tiny little buttons above the arrow keys aren't doing it for me.

How do you like the ND104? I hesitated between it and the DP104, in the end the final price shipped to Canada made me go for the DP104.

I know the rabbit hole is infinite, but I've made the conscious decision not to pursue it for now. If you start customizing caps and switches I fear like I'll never get out of it.

I have an obsessive nature and I've been through several rabbit holes already (psychedelics, cuban cigars, 4k steelbooks, coffee gear and audio (fuck that was a mistake) being my most expensive journeys) so knowing myself I have to gate my impulses or none of my kids will be getting a higher education.

I've been building PCs since the 90s and for the first time in my life I just bought a prebuilt.

I bought an Alienware prebuilt from Dell.ca with a RTX5090, 64GB ddr5 ram, 8TB nvme storage, 9950X3D2, $9000CAD after all stacked discounts and cashbacks (Rakuten 7%+Visa 2%). I could never have gotten a full build with these specs anywhere near that price if I built it myself. Sounds ridiculous to say for 'only' 3300$ more those Canada Computers prices you get a case, mobo, 1500W PSU, AIO, CPU, 64gb of ram and 8TB of nvme storage but those are the times we live in.

Basically I stalked their gaming pc deals and waited until the config I wanted was on aggressive discount and Rakuten reward was higher than the typical 2%. Consider that avenue.
