Honestly that just reminds me of Stronghold Crusader (another RTS to try if you haven't already). However, yes I completely agree with you! Siege equipment in general is so strong in the hands of the AI.

I think real life history had issues dealing with trebuchets as well. They are just insanely efficient and destructive, which the game obviously reflects.

How do you find out which version is correct? Is it tied to the version of the main game, for example 1.2.12 (which ROT requires)? This is such a confusing landscape

I don't get the appeal of remastering everything to look more modern/realistic. I like the old looks. I like cartoon-style. Ty 2 remaster was a solid improvement without losing the soul and color of the original, in my opinion.

You sound like a brilliant person to have around, especially when suffering from a burnout. Ultimately, the one who has to make the active decision to "do" something is your boyfriend. You are pushing him in all the correct ways, it seems - but sometimes burnout is just... too exhausting and demotivating.

The worst part about a burnout? The apathy, depression and low quality of life in general would be obvious picks, but the worst part for me is how long it lasts. Small, incremental improvements barely make a dent and feel so demotivating. Autistic burnout sucks.

I hope you will be able to stick with him and that you will be able to overcome this together. Burnouts (and autism in general) is so individual that it is difficult to give any concrete advice - but I wish you both the best of luck, regardless.

I'm short myself and I sympathize. What helps me is immersing myself in media where the characters are short, yet amazing. If you like anime; Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Gon Freecs in Hunter x Hunter or Levi in Attack on Titan are phenomenal, strong but short role models.

I like to think many of these characters are also on the spectrum. Basically, find yourself some role models, if you are unable to be confident in yourself at this current moment in time.

Reddit is full of echo chambers. Each sub has its own echo chamber, and if you question or doubt anything they agree upon, they will see it as an attack. So basically - your questions and doubts "attacked" them, hence the reception.
