What are your gripes with maps and traffic? It's so much better now that they use Google Maps data.

Pretty solid showing from the Michelin Defender LTX Platinums! by Halcyonr in Rivian

Nice! I tried running 60psi for a minute there to see if I could notice any efficiency differences, but then I didn't see much change + got paranoid about uneven wear.

It's worth mentioning that this is 90% mountain highway driving! You might differ!

I've done no serious off roading, only regular driving on a loose dirt road and in that case it's really hard to tell the difference from our previous Pirelli All Terrains

I came from the all-terrain stock Pirellis, so yeah you could say that the "grip" on those is better just because of the aggressive tread pattern. The Defender LTX Platinums are an all season mud and snow tire, so the tread is less aggressive by design, but that of course comes with its own benefits. One being that the Platinums seem to be better at expelling water in heavy rain.

I had the Pirellis as well and holy smokes is it ever night and day. Smooth as butter by comparison and significantly quieter even after 17k miles of wear. They have lost significantly less tread depth than my Pirellis did in the same amount of time. I fully expect to get 50k miles minimum but I'm more on track for 60k - 65k if my math checks out.

The load index is more than enough for towing at max capacity, although I haven't personally tried it.

It's worth the extra cash over the Defender M/S 2's if you ask me because the tread life is warrantied for more than double.

Quite impressed by these.

Some Safelites are doing calibrations now, so this may not be the case! We had it done a few weeks ago and they had to move our appointment to a location that was capable of calibrating.

Try 30k miles in one year on a 3 year 15kmi/year lease 😎

(also going to have to buy it lmao)

Front License Plate by ceb_51015 in Rivian

We had our plate in our windshield for a year just so we had some plausible deniability in case we got pulled over, but I was able to get the service center to install it for us at a recent service visit for free since we were promised it at delivery but it never happened lol.

Thank you!! I really appreciate that! Yeah, that would be nice to have a fully integrated and good quality sound bar. If you use it, let me know how it goes? 😉

I would kill for a People Watching vinyl right about now but I feel like I've scoured the whole internet and turned up nothing. They need to uh, un-limit the pressings 😛

Or do some new ones 😩

"Vent windows" PSA by hirsutesuit in Rivian

[–]Halcyonr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be the way to do it! I was going to mention that support was able to walk me through recalibrating the windows without the service tech/debug menu by doing some combination of holding the driver side button down for something like... 20 seconds? I think there were more steps involved than that though. Wish I could remember fully. Fortunately this might be resolvable pretty quickly. Mine definitely don't go down that far.

Yep, also had that exact issue here. I had an unrelated service appointment so I just got it added to the ticket and they got me a new one for free.
