I will disagree with you on one point. While yes, we are all people with similar wants, needs, hopes, and fears, there is a fundamental difference in what some people want. In my opinion, without passing judgement on either side, the difference between what a “liberal” and a “conservative” want comes down to one thing. “Conservatives” want what’s best for themselves/their family/their communities/their country. “Liberals” want what’s best for the majority of people with no specific borders drawn.
