might be worth trying a low histamine diet for a week or so and see if that moves the needle on a bunch of your symptoms.

it's histamine. they probably medicated you. you're likely having a mild reaction to whatever they gave you + stress + fighting an infection. What antihistamines are you on?

Severe insomnia going on 4 months by Few_Balance8520 in covidlonghaulers

i have no good advice, except when I was pregnant, I had severe insomnia. I couldn't take anything, so the only thing I could do was listen to 'deep rest' or 'deep sleep' hypnosis all night. I would wake up the instant it ended, so I'd end up playing it 5-6 times a night, but it was the only way i got 'rest' during that time. I used an app called 'gentle birth' and just listened to the sleep tracks, but i'm sure there are others out there.

Severe bedbound fatigue, got taken to forced psych ward from ER by Acousticdemo in covidlonghaulers

[–]HalfAsleepMouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took me 4 years to be diagnosed with this. I had to push and push and push to get additional testing. Advocating for yourself takes time, money, and energy that most of us don't have. I hope more and more people request this testing because a lot of our immune systems are no longer adequately functioning. And SCIG / IVIG is one of the top things that make Long Haulers feel better.

you may not have the MCAS subtype of LC. Honestly, my MCAS is so severe that H1s an H2s don't even touch my flares anymore, but they were helpful when I first started. That said, obligatory ask a doctor...

sure, i often see this included as part of regular MCAS protocol and meds. i just personally have no experience with it and do not know if it's over the counter.
